Katya Kora, one of the most popular and successful PR managers in our capital, who is a member of the Presnya Family (a creative connection of talented artists), spoke about the pros and cons of her profession.

- Katya, how long have you been doing PR-management?

In fact, a PR manager is one of my 15 professions. Initially, I was generally involved in all types of artist management activities: concert activities, PR, production - music, videos, filming. That is, from style and image to concert activity. I've been doing this for 12 years. My friend Kravets and I ( popular rap artist Pavel Kravtsov - ed.) started with organizing events, and then I smoothly moved into show business.

- Did you and Kravets study together?

No, we just know each other for 15 years. We were introduced by a mutual friend, my former classmate. We became friends and started working together. Then Pasha went into music, and I into producing. For about 6 years I worked with twelve artists at the same time - the Prime Minister group, Pavel Volya, Alexander Panayotov, Alexei Chumakov, the NAOMI group, Kravts and others. In general, I am a clip operator and part-time director Alexandra Panayotova. I already have 5 clips on my account.

- Tell us about the positive and negative aspects of your profession.

The positive is that I really love my job. As I already said, I have been in this business for 12 years, and everything continues to impress me, and I like it! Every time I learn something new. For example, before I could only organize filming and live broadcasts on the radio for my wards, but now I can do much more! I am constantly learning and developing. This is facilitated by working with new artists, each of them needs their own approach, each has its own concept.

Negative, probably - the human factor. Just like in any other business. For example, it is difficult to reach out to the editors of radio stations and television and convince them to put on a video…

Plus chart. People working in show business don't have standard days off, there's no such thing as free time. My phone rings 24 hours a day. So I'm always online.

- And how do you find the artist's audience in other cities?

This is the job of a serious concert manager. I can't sit and call every city. I'm more of an active manager who spends a lot of time with people, artists and participates in creative processes.

Again, you can only influence the regions with large fees in Moscow, St. Petersburg and others major cities. The effect of "word of mouth" is triggered: they begin to talk about the performer, show interest in his work. However, all this is subjective. In one city we can be well received, and in another a little worse ....

For example, if an artist came the day before, then people have already spent their deferred thousand rubles, and it’s not a fact that they will be ready to spend more. I myself am from Siberia, so I perfectly understand all the difficulties. After all, the standard of living in Moscow and in the outback is completely different.

- Do you have time for your personal life?

Unfortunately not, but that's my choice. If there is no time left for personal life, then I myself am to blame for this. It turns out that my work interests me more than my personal life. But I am not deprived of attention and do not die from loneliness ( smiling). On the contrary, I am surrounded by many interesting and bright people, friends. When I am ready to leave for a family, raise children, then the time will appear, everything will come. So far, apparently, I'm not ready. In general, I know a lot of cool PR people who manage to take care of children and do their job well.
