Who is the proportion in anime. Types of male characters in anime

Those who are interested in modern Japanese pop culture at first have to deal with a large number of new terms, including when describing characters - tsundere, yandere, kudere, dandere, genki, moe. This article will help you understand the main archetypes of manga, games. The above classification is more concerned, therefore, we will talk mainly about girls. You will be able to understand what tsundere means and how it differs from others.

general information

Tsundere is one of the most common in modern anime. Almost no film or TV series is complete without this girl or guy, and most often in one of the central roles. As a rule, a tsundere is a young girl with a boyish figure. But the basis of the archetype lies not in appearance, but in character.

The very name tsundere is a combination of two words: "tsuntsun", which means sharp, closed, indifferent, and "deredere" - gentle, yearning for love. It is in the combination of these opposite properties that the character of the character consists.

Outwardly, the tsundere seems arrogant, cold, rude, irritable. This is an independent and completely independent person who can behave quite harshly with others.

But in relation to a lover or friend, another, softer side of the heroine appears. The tsundere tries to hide his feelings, often under the guise of anger, but with the development of a love line, he begins to show "deredere" more and more often, realizing and accepting his own emotions.

Characters of this type are characterized by frequent mood swings, literally every second in critical situations. Typical representatives: Aisaka Taiga ("Toradora"), Shana ("Fire-eyed Shana"), Sanzenin Nagi ("Hayate, combat butler").

Subtypes

Tsundere is one of the six main character archetypes, but not all heroes fit into a strict classification. Characters, in many ways reminiscent of the tsundere, but significantly deviating from the canon, are attributed to subtypes, which can be up to ten. Let's consider some of them.

Tsunaho (tsundoji, tsunbaka) is a character who tries to look cold and restrained, but because of his natural absent-mindedness and clumsiness, this turns out badly. Often the tsunaho looks stupid and gets into ridiculous situations.

Tsuntere is a softer, shy version (here the second part of the word is derived from "tereru" - shy). Natural modesty does not allow the character to look frankly cold and arrogant, and the object of warm feelings can easily embarrass him.

Tsundora is the most cold, unemotional character in whom it is difficult to awaken the soft side. A good example is Senjougahara from Monster Story.

Tsungire - here the ending is formed from the word "kireru", which means a short circuit. Such a hero is seemingly indifferent, but he gradually accumulates emotions in himself, which over time can lead to a real explosion.

Tsunshun is a character whose outburst of negative emotions is replaced not by a manifestation of softness, but by depression.

yandere

Tsundere and yandere are significantly different despite the similarity in name. Yandere-type characters may appear sweet, unassuming, and quite peaceful at first.

But under the influence of strong emotions, yandere show aggression and cruelty, most often directed at others who can harm the hero’s loved ones or himself, rivals in love, ill-wishers who threaten friends. But in some cases, a lover can become a victim of a yandere. In an attempt to protect their interests, yandere can be cruel and will not hesitate to kill.

For a yangire, a sub-type of yandere, a push in the form of love is not needed, this character acts according to his own ulterior motives and is often mentally deranged. Typical yandere: Sonozaki Shion ("When the Cicadas Cry"), Katsura Kotonah ("School Days"), Ryoko Asakura ("The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya").

Couderet

If the tsundere sister is too harsh, then the kudere, on the contrary, is closed, silent, cold, phlegmatic, reserved. She does not demonstrate her emotions and completely controls them, often avoids communication, prefers solitude. Often, the coudere spends a lot of time reading books, is distinguished by intelligence, logical thinking, and objectivity.

Over time, the kudere opens up to her lover and close friends. Typical representatives: Nagato Yuki ("The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"), Ayanami Misaki Mei ("Other").

Dandera

Representatives of this type are also silent and closed, but not at all because they are unemotional. On the contrary, dandere are overwhelmed by feelings, but such heroes are unnecessarily shy. They are often simply ashamed of their feelings, trying to hide them. Dandere may avoid the company of other people, prefer books to communicate. Their innermost thoughts are often trusted to the diary.

Dandere are often economic girls. Due to shyness, they experience great difficulties in communicating, especially with the opposite sex. Typical representatives: Hyuuga Hinata ("Naruto"), Shiomiya Shiori ("God Only Knows the World"), Onodera Kosaki ("Fake Love").

genki

The characters of this archetype are classic sanguine. They are friendly, active, energetic, always in a good mood, cheerful and carefree.

Cheerfulness and optimism are in full swing. Genks are sociable and do not hesitate to anyone. They are often characterized by excellent performance in sports. Genks are usually straightforward, but sometimes they hide problems behind their fun so as not to disturb loved ones.

Typical representatives: Suzumiya Haruhi ("The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"), Sozonaki Mion ("When Cicadas Cry"), Minori Kushieda ("Toradora").

Moe

If tsundere are most often lively and active girls, then moe characters are most associated with the word "kawaii". They are incredibly sweet, charming and innocent, have an attractive appearance, shy, naive.

Some clumsiness and awkwardness give them a special attraction. Often they are not capable of physical activity, have a timid and indecisive character. Nevertheless, the purity and naivety of moe are so attractive that everyone around them seeks to take them under their protection.

Typical representatives: Asahina Mikuru ("The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"), Takara Miyuki ("Lucky Star"), Towa Erio ("Radio signal from an eccentric").

Hello everyone, my dears! Sometimes you can meet anime people who ask a question or get confused about the types of chan in anime. Especially for these guys, I will try to put everything on the shelves in this plan (*/▽\*).

1.Tsundere

Tsundere (ツンデレ). The word comes from tsuntsun (ツンツン), which means disgust, and deredere (デレデレ), which means falling in love. These girls seem to be very mischievous and arrogant at first, but then they turn out to be very sweet with many good qualities. More often than not, this type of anime girls hide their true soft nature due to falling in love, but end up confessing their feelings. By the way, there are several subspecies of tsendere, which I suggest you familiarize yourself with:

These girls in the anime are sooo hard trying to seem cold, mischievous and unattainable. But in place of this, they make their image even nicer, as they confuse, drop and break everything.

2) Tsundora

Very quiet and cold characters. They seem to feel almost nothing. Showing your love to these girls can be difficult.

3)Zuntere

They are somewhat reminiscent of tsukhano, as they also try to appear impregnable vermin. But they do it only out of shyness. Due to embarrassment, all the cards of the tsuntere are revealed, and it becomes clear that she is simply in love.

4) Tsungire

It seems to me that this is the most dangerous subtype of tsundere. It may seem like a real angel in the flesh, but if you make her angry! Uh, better not to do that...

Kuudere (くーデレ) is derived from English cool and Japanese deredere. Cold-blooded and indifferent. They prefer to live farther from the rest, but not because of shyness. These girls are very silent and arrogant.

3.Dandere

Dandere (ダンデレ) is short for danmari deredere (だんまりデレデレ), which means "shy/shy deredere". Danmari (だんまり) means "silence". These girls are not silent out of embarrassment. It's just that they are real sociophobes, very closed and not going to immediately trust others. They show their love when interacting with their love.

Yandere (ヤンデレ) is short for yanderu deredere (病んでるデレデレ), "yandere" (病んでる) means sick. Crazy girls who are very attached to the object of their love. They are basically crazy fans. When they fall in love, they are blown away, the yandere only want to protect their love of life in any way. Do not catch their eye, and even more angry ...

Yangire (ヤン切れ) is a subspecies of the familiar yandere. Crazy and quick-tempered at the same time, therefore, they represent, as it seems to me, an even greater danger. You should not trust these girls, they have their own secrets in the closet (-.- ") ...

Genki (元気) are very cute and positive anime girls. "The soul of the company" is about them. They are smart, not too smart. The first of them quickly think. Well, the second couple do very funny and slightly crazy things!

And of course, MOE

The word "moe" (萌え) means "sprout", meaning that this girl wants to be taken care of. In culture, this word means a fetish of appearance/behavior. All of the above types are moe. That is, these are all stereotypes about the appearance and character of the girl. There are also several subtypes of moe:

Meganekko (メガネっ娘) is a girl who wears glasses.

Pettanko (ぺったんこ) is a girl who looks very much like a child. Usually has a flat chest, and because of this complex. As I understand it, this is a similar name for a loli familiar to everyone.

Bakunyu (爆乳) - a chan with large breasts, oddly enough, becomes the object of pettanko envy.

Bokukko (ぼく娘) is a very energetic punk girl.

Dojikko (ドジ娘) is a clumsy girl in the anime.

I hope that after this short article you figured everything out! Now, in place of "very active, kind and sweet, the real soul of the company girl," you proudly say "genki" and the like with a learned look. Write in the comments if you want a similar thing only for the types of guys in the anime♡\( ̄▽ ̄)/♡.

!Some characters combine several types of character at once.

The type of character is not always immediately clear.

Contrary to popular belief, the classification of character types does not apply only to female characters. Yes, there are MOEs for boys too!

Main character types:

1. Tsundere (ツンデレ). The word comes from tsuntsun (ツンツン), which means disgust, and deredere (デレデレ), which means falling in love. One of the most beloved otaku type of characters, often moei (more on that below). These characters are often at first harmful and narcissistic, sometimes even unpleasant personalities (more than half of the girls with rich parents, for example), but in the process of plot development it always turns out that many good qualities are hidden under the harmfulness. Most often they appear when the character is in love. At the same time, the very object of their love is rejected by them, but in the end they have to admit their feelings.
There are also several subspecies of the tsundere:

Tsunaho (ツンアホ), alternatively called tsunbaka (ツンばか) or more neutrally tsundoji (ツンドジ)
These characters really want to appear bad, but because of clumsiness, and often narrow-mindedness, they always confuse everything, drop things, fall themselves and generally behave comically.

Tsuntere (ツン照れ) is a more open (and moe-like) tsundere. "Tereru", tereru (照れる) means "shy". That is, a tsundere who tries to appear cold and unapproachable, but due to his own shyness (and moe) sometimes gives out real feelings. Thus, it becomes clear that the character is actually a deredere.

Tsundora (ツンドラ) literally means "tundra". This is the most reserved and gloomy type.
character, ice. It is very difficult to force such a character to show his "deredere-I".

Tsungire (ツン切れ) is the most dangerous type of tsundere, named after "kireru" (kireru, 切れる) - short circuit. If you make this character angry, then ... better not. At first glance, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish a tsungire from a yandere, but a flash of rage and madness are still different things.

2. Kuudere (くーデレ), comes from English cool and Japanese deredere, a word called cold-blooded and indifferent characters. Often they sit somewhere far away from the rest with a book and do not communicate with anyone. Often they can be distinguished by blue hair, but not always. So, the couderes are silent, but only because they do not want to talk to anyone, because of their arrogance.

3. Dandere (ダンデレ) - abbreviated danmari deredere (だんまりデレデレ), which means "shy/th deredere". Danmari (だんまり) means "silence", but the dandere is silent not because he (or she) wants to, but because he is terribly shy. These are real sociophobes, closed and distrustful. Most often, the "deredere-ya" is revealed upon contact with the object of love.

4. Yandere (ヤンデレ) - short for yanderu deredere (病んでるデレデレ), "yandere" (病んでる) means "sick". In short, this is a crazy "deredere". Yandere characters are as popular with otaku as tsundere.
Yandere are attached to the object of their love very strongly, to the point of idolatry. These are typical fans (and fangirls). In their normal state, yanderes are indistinguishable from derederes, but when they fall in love, they turn into psychos, and you should not get in their way at this moment, because they often pick up sharp objects.

5. Yangire (ヤン切れ) - A subspecies of the yandere, they are both insane and short-tempered. Such a character, in order to become a maniac, usually does not need a special reason in the form of love. Often they have some dark, unpleasant secret from the past hiding in their closet.

6. Genki (元気) - optimistic, always happy and hyperactive
characters. Such a character is the "soul" of the company.
There are two types of genks - smart and not so smart. Smart genks think as fast as they act. Characters of the second type are also energetic, but at the same time they often do comical follies.

Oh yes, MOE!

The word "moe" (萌え) means "sprout", meaning a fragile girl who needs (and wants to!) take care of.
The word in culture means a fetish of appearance/behavior. All the character stereotypes described above also refer to the concept of "moe". For a long time it was believed (and is still often considered) that only girls can be moei. But! Moe can be a guy, although much less often. Isn't Italy-kun from Hetalia an example of this?
Moekko (萌え娘) is a girl with moei features. Moekko are again of several types.
Meganekko (メガネっ娘) is a girl with glasses.
Bokukko (ぼく娘) is an energetic tomboy.
Pettanko (ぺったんこ) is a child girl with a flat chest, which she usually suffers a lot from. Well, or not suffer.
Bakunyu (爆乳) - a girl with large breasts, the object of pettanko envy.
Dojikko (ドジ娘) is a clumsy girl.

What could be more anime than all the familiar dere archetypes. These are character models that will be easily recognized by viewers and can be incorporated into any story situation to introduce, for example, a romantic line.

First of all, "dere" are usually subject to love suffering in some way. These characters are unlikely to be the protagonist's main romantic target no matter what. Now let's look at the various archetypes in more detail!

1. Tsundere (Type A)

Tsundere is one of the most popular types that is known to every anime fan. Tsundere switch between two states: tsun(sharp, rough) and dere(with its tender side that nourishes feelings for someone). You recognize a tsundere if a character indifferently continues to say "baka" or tries to hide some good deed done.

There are two types of tsundere: type A and type B.

In the first case, the "tsun" state is their default personality. They tend to abuse and insult their lover, get embarrassed when they are praised, and use "baka" through the word.

Examples of such characters: Louise Nuliza, Chitoge Kirisaki, Taiga Aisaka.

2. Tsundere (Type B)

These have the default state of "dere". They are friendly, sociable, and kind, but their "tsun" state is manifested when their object of affection upsets them with something (usually something perverted).

In short, type A will be rude to everyone with everyone until his lover gets him out of this shell, while type B is usually friendly to everyone except their love interest, but only because he does not know how to express his feelings.

Popular Examples: Winry Rockbell, Yamada, Levi McGarden

3. Yandere

Yandere is also a fairly well-known type. These sweeties at first glance look very cute - cheerful and friendly or charming shy, they will quickly make friends with the main character.

However, their friendly nature masks a dark side. Yandere characters are not only lovable, they are also big on control. They are ready to kill all people in contact with their lover, or at least isolate him from society. They don't accept rejection (which gives them a 90% chance of success).

Popular examples: Yuno Gasai, Anna Nishikinomiya, Lindo.

3. Dandere

Calm, shy, innocent and harmless - dandere characters usually wear glasses and are always immersed in reading. However, they can become talkative around their crush.

Popular examples: Urara Shiraishi, Shiori Shinomiya, Onodera Kosaki.

5. Couderé

Emotionless, cold, aloof. They don't talk much, and when they do, they tend to be blunt and cynical. Mandatory attributes are an empty face and an even voice. Despite their icy nature, coudere characters are quite capable of caring and forming romantic bonds.

Popular examples: Eucliwood Hellsite, Mashiro Shiina, Ayanami Rei.

6. Deredere

The most cheerful, hyperactive and loving of the rest of the "dere". Such characters constantly suffer from their love interests.

Popular Examples: Lala Satalin Deviluk (To LOVE-Ru) / Verdandi (My Goddess) / Otome Arisugawa (Aikatsu!)

7. Himedere

Despite the fact that all "dere" are most often girls, this archetype is completely limited to female characters. They want to be treated like princesses, even if they aren't real royalty. Sometimes this can act as a mask to hide insecurities. The classic insulting "ohoho" laugh is their weapon of choice.

Popular Examples: Erina Nakiri, Mio Aoyama, Eri Sawachika

8. Ojidere

And here is the male version of himedere. They also require special treatment, even if they are fake princes. They usually have a cool piercing look and an amazing sense of style.

Popular Examples: Lelouch Lamperouge, Ciel Phantomhive, Ayato Sakamaki

9. Camidere

Arrogant, proud, having a god complex. They believe that everyone should treat them as divine beings and that all eyes should be on them.

Popular Examples: Mio Isurugi, Yagami Light, Satsuki Kiryuin

10. Underre

A slightly obscure type of character that combines deredere, dandere and a pinch of yandere. This character will always say "yes" to his close (and not so close) in order to stay with them.

Popular Examples: Amane Misa, Minami Kotori

11. Mayadere

These are characters that appear in the series as an antagonist. Mayadere will fall in love with the protagonist, but this does not mean that she will go over to his side - she will even be ready to fight him if necessary.

Popular examples: Esdeth, Illyasviel von Einzbern

12. Bodere

Relatively new type of character. Bodere combines the rough nature of a tsundere with the shyness of a dandere. These characters are usually shy around the opposite sex and can be blunt to hide their embarrassment.

Popular Example: Mahiru Inami

13. Hinedere

Takes the icy nature of the kudere and pairs it with the arrogant attitude of the kamidere. Hinedere characters are very cynical and sarcastic, but will show their soft side when the character breaks through their shell.

They are a new archetype and could gain a lot of popularity if the cynical character trend continues.

Popular example: Hachiman Hikigaya.

14. Sadodere

Sadistic characters who can play with their lover on an emotional and physical level. If they find themselves an object of sighing, then it would be better for him to be a masochist who would not mind being beaten.

Popular examples: Nemesis, Kurumi Tokisaki, Kirihime Natsuno.

So, now maybe you know a little more :) What type of "dere" is your favorite?

Well, hello, if you see me in the feed, you need to quickly go in, because there will be something that you have not heard about! Often, when we watch a lot of films, deja vu arises when one or another hero appears, and therefore even poorly written characters that stand out for one character trait come to many. In the anime, everything is a little different, there are mandatory types of characters. And a little lower I will describe them, I will give places by popularity in anime, that is, from the most popular dere to the rarest, I will also give examples of girls and genres in which one or another type of dere appears most often. This is the top 10 types of dere!

Anime Toradora.

10th place - Tsundere.
So, you must have seen / and this type of character in anime, usually tsunderki are rude, sharp, boorish, they can hit for nothing. They are the most popular, but there is a logical explanation for this - increased emotions. Yes, that’s exactly it, because when there is such a contrast as: “I hate you, get away from me, garbage,” then some kind of hostility develops, but when it comes to understanding that this was all the tsundere said because she hid her true self and was afraid to open up, then it becomes closer to the viewer. Most shonen anime have at least one tsundere throughout the series, for some it is in the foreground like in Toradora, and somewhere in the background. There is no point in talking a lot about tsundere, because everyone knows them, so let's move on.
Genre: Senen, romance, school, magic, everyday life.
Example of a tsundere:

Anime Toradora.

9th place - Deredere.
These dere are active, cheerful, loving, live life to the fullest. This type of character is the one I dislike the most. The only good thing about heroes like this is that they are not shown much, because one appearance is enough for you to start disliking this hyperactive dere. I can imagine a tsundere in reality, but a deredere is not able to live in our world, or I have never met such. And they often fall in love, but unsuccessfully, I wonder WHY, YES?
Genre: Romance, school, magic, everyday life.
Deredere example:

"Angel rythms".

8th place - Kudere.
Here they can be easily imagined in real life. Couderés are unemotional, chillingly cold and often loners. They say little, but what they say is right on target. When they say something that an ordinary person would say emotionally, they can keep a completely calm face, even their voice will not waver. This is one of the few types that I personally like, because it is these people who bring notes of common sense to anime.
Genre: Romance, school, everyday life, adventure.
Kudere example: Kanade Tachibana.

7th place - Kamidere.
This type of dere usually wants attention, everyone should admire him and his skills, only him! Probably, you are now thinking that this is a rather rare type of dere, but this is not at all the case, the same Yagami Light, IN SOME WAY, is a kamidere. Even in some romantic anime there is a similar person, she cannot be called outstanding, but we are talking about the frequency of appearance in the series, and the kamidere is a frequent guest of many titles.
Genre: Everyday life, magic, school, drama.
Kamidere example: Yagami Light.

6th place - Dandere.
Why are there so few characters like this? Modest, calm, innocent soul, in general, ideal. They won’t beat you because you said you like her, they won’t make hysterical and thoughtless decisions. This type is very rare in anime, but very common in reality, maybe that's why he gets so little attention? Like, in reality, there are so many of them, why give them time in the title. Maybe there's something I don't know? Maybe I'm watching some strange anime, but it doesn't matter.
Genre: Adventure, school, shoujo, yuri.
Dandere example:
Erina Nakiri.
