Fixed matches in the premier leagues. Fixing matches in the Premier League: who knows about such matches? Fixed matches in Russia

Fixed games in sports continue to excite both experienced bettors and beginners. Some consider such rates unprofitable, while others are an object for profitable investments.

Especially relevant are the championships of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. Of particular interest are competitions among youth clubs. In Ukraine, for several years in a row, proceedings with clubs that played match-fixing lasted. Watching some fights, the thought crept in that you were not present at a sporting event, but at some kind of performance with bad actors. It's funny sometimes to watch the actions of the goalkeeper and the players who want to concede a goal, expecting this from the opponent.

Less often, "strange" games can be found abroad, although it is no secret that this happens in the championships of Italy, Greece, and sometimes Germany.

It suffers from contract games. Almost all game sports have "weird" teams. Sometimes it happens that entire championships are signed on paper in offices. For example, the RHL is no longer interesting to watch. At the same time, the NHL is still the most unpredictable tournament.

Fast passage

The essence of contract games

What is the meaning of match-fixing? Team 1 loses to a team for a certain amount or service 2 . This is the simplest deal. There are more difficult ways, when scripts are written, what "feats" the players must perform at certain intervals. It can be an agreement on how the score should end the game, or how many penalties should be earned in a duel.

Usually presidents and other heads of clubs deal with such a delicate issue. Players rarely do this. And rightly so, because such a conspiracy can cost them their careers. This will be the last fight in the status of a professional. At the same time, not all players usually receive a fee in team 1. Enough to pay the coach, a few key players, in extreme cases - the referee.

It is not always easy to determine that this is an agreement. If the players are good actors, they can relatively honestly play 85 minutes of the match, and within 5 minutes they can make the necessary score. It is not necessary to look like clowns for the amusement of the fans. It should be borne in mind that the game is not watched by fools, but by specialists who understand all the nuances of the game. Therefore, representatives of the top division usually roll "smart" agreements.

Let's look at contractual games from the side of bookmakers. How do they behave in this case? For take an example a long-standing match between two southern clubs of the Russian Premier League, where all collusion factors are obvious.

On the first day of accepting bets on the home team, the odds were 1.75. It was a very good odds as Team 1 needed a victory in this match to stay in the big leagues next season. For team 2, the result was not important. She successfully completed the main tournament tasks

After some time, the coefficient on the owners decreases to 1.4. Another 3 hours pass, and it drops to a minimum of 1.22. In the end, as expected, team 1 won. The fans in the stands understood the outcome in the first 20 minutes. Many left this circus in the first half. The match was typically fixed and the sharp collapse once again confirms this. All these committees fair play and the Football Federation held meetings for formality, but everything ended, as usual in Russian football, with nothing.

Many other examples could be cited without naming the clubs. Fans and so well understand who we are talking about. In one of the meetings, the victory left the guests a chance to extend their residence in the big leagues next season. The owners of this game was uninteresting.

Bookmakers immediately found information about the upcoming deal. As a mockery, they set the odds for the away win at 1.04. The match could not be watched, its outcome was known in advance. The guests won. There is no point in commenting here.

Most often, bookmakers are the first to find out about fixed games. In such cases, they either do not include this match in the list, or, if the quotes are already set, they remove the duel from the line, indicating a suspicion that there is no fair fight between the rivals.

Here you can give an example of the relationship between Shakhtar and Mariupol, which was previously called Ilyichevets and Metallurg. In 35 matches between these clubs, the miners celebrated victories 33 times. Bookmakers accepted bets on Shakhtar's victory at odds of 1.03 or did not accept them at all. Shakhtar has a couple more such teams. And all of them handed over and hand over games. All offices and many bettors know about it. Matches are just for show. Such clubs have no right to exist in pure championships. And so they simply generate points for the supposedly Ukrainian club Shakhtar.

Another way that bookmakers play safe from strange games is by tricking the bet. When under a contractual event in the list in small letters it is written “only for express trains” or “ordinary, max. bet 1000 rubles.

Fixed games are very fond of arb bettors. Such love is explained by the fact that the decrease in odds for a strange event occurs first of all.

Small offices that form their line by copying from well-known bookmakers usually do not have time to lower the coefficient in the image and likeness of the older ones. Their line remains unchanged. At this time, the profitable time comes for lovers of forks. Profitable offers are obtained if in one office the odds fell to 1.15, and in the other it still stays at 1.7.

Information about fixed matches

It is clear that the number of agreements depends on the status of the tournament. The "richer" the competition, the fewer strange fights in it. The number of such meetings can be indirectly judged by maximum rates to events. Bookmakers often set maximums of no more than 3,000 rubles for matches of regional teams. Moreover, from one person it is allowed to make no more than 1 bet. The PPP may also require a passport.

An idea of how large the scale of "agreements" among amateurs and in the lower football leagues in Russia and Ukraine can be obtained by reading interviews with former players. Not all of the above can be taken seriously. But real witnesses and participants in such games vividly describe the events that once took place.

The most important thing is that there were, are and will be agreements. The formula for the middle peasants 3-3 is still alive. This is when home games are won by the hosts. This practice became even more popular when three points were awarded for a win. Thus, the middle peasants were guaranteed to score the required number of points so as not to fly into the minor leagues.

Information about a potential deal can be gleaned from the statistics of previous meetings. The methodology is this. We take a team from the middle of the standings. We know that in terms of the level of players it does not claim to top places. We look at how she played with her own similar teams. We pay attention to the meetings of previous seasons.

It is important for us to find a pattern when at home in matches with some middle peasants there were victories and defeats with them on the road. If this trend persisted for several seasons in a row, it means that with a high degree of probability the team will continue to play according to the same scheme in the next season.

Search for an agreement

The peak of fixed games falls at the end of the championships. It is understandable why: some teams have completed their task or, on the contrary, have not completed and they no longer need anything, the second are fighting for two things - either for prizes or for the right to remain in this division.

This is where the time for cash bonuses or the exchange of services begins: something like “we will now give in to you, and then you will give in to us.”

Rarely do you meet in the first rounds of the championship. If this happens, then one of the teams is "calculated" for the last season.

The hardest part of betting on the "sures" is to find information about the upcoming game. Moreover, even if suitable data is found, you need to be sure that this information will turn out to be really true, and not taken from somewhere out of thin air.

Usually, information about the agreement leaks out from people close to a particular team, coach, referee, governing bodies. In this scenario, such a leak of information will be considered a direct source of information, which makes no sense to doubt. Since the coach said a contract, then it is so.

There are rarer cases of information leaks, when some football players of the team are seen in the PPS offices, where they make bets against their team. In this case, it is only possible to conclude that the game is most likely purchased.

Lately, there has been a feeling that almost everyone on the Internet has information about strange football games,. Demand creates supply. The nuance is that the vast majority of these "informants" are scammers who make money on gullible users. It should be understood that information about fixed games is kept secret, and the person who possesses it most likely will not share it with anyone else (even for money).

If a person has accurate information about the dishonest nature of the upcoming game, why would he post on betting forums or even sell his information at "affordable prices"? Why is he wasting his precious time for dubious profit? It makes no sense to deny the fact that there are so-called "dealers" who first find out information about the fixed game, only for themselves. And then, resell it to their friends, and others who wish.

In reality, finding such a person is a rather difficult task. For those who want to earn the best option will find for himself an already verified informant through his acquaintances. So that a person who can be trusted already had some experience of communicating with the “informant” and could at least somehow characterize his work.

In this case, at least you will know who you are contacting. But if you didn’t have such acquaintances, then you just have to test your informant. Whether he really has information about agreements, or just leads everyone by the nose - it is quite simple to determine.

To begin with, you can agree with him on 2-3 conditionally free bets. Then tell him that if they all pass, then give the due amount. You can also say that write a review about agreements and if its service proves itself with better side, he will get good review which will attract a lot of new customers. In any case, show your imagination, you need to get at least 3 free bets which can be tested later.

Let's say that we managed to agree, and the match for betting is received. For example, this is an assumed agreement between teams A and B. Team A should win. The coefficient at the beginning is 1.75.

How to make sure that the game is negotiable?

A contractual match in its characteristics differs significantly from a regular game. Here are a few typical differences that you should pay particular attention to. close attention (given example reviewed at football match, but it can be used for other types of competitions).

  • We follow the bookmaker's line in order to detect a decrease in the odds, or to fix the withdrawal of the match from the line. If such a phenomenon occurs in at least a few of the events proposed by the informant, then his information at the preliminary stage can be considered valuable.
  • Most often in match-fixing, the losing team scores first.
  • Particular attention to the score of the game. Usually the number of goals in a fixed game is significantly higher than in a normal match (although not always). Results such as 3-2; 4-3; 2-4 are fairly common.
  • You should pay attention to the behavior of the captains on the field and key performers. In normal games, these players play to the fullest and make partners. In contractual fights, they avoid martial arts and practically do not break the rules. The judge is extremely polite, which is very strange.
  • Uninitiated players can give all their best, and those who are in the share with coolness complete their runs. For them, the main thing is that the fight ends as soon as possible, and they receive the promised prize.
  • Particular attention should be paid to the goalkeeper, coach and referee. If the goalkeeper is smeared, then during the entire match he will hide from the ball and make ridiculous mistakes. The coach is feigning excitement, but his behavior will not look natural. He already knows how everything should end and when the money will fall into the account. Therefore, he should not worry.
  • The referee, who is also in the share, is very strict towards the team that is leaking the game. When necessary, and put a penalty. As much as you want, he will assign dangerous free kicks. Many players will show yellow cards. The Referee will try to make every effort to ensure the desired result, which is agreed upon in advance.

If you managed to get information about fixed games from the informer, you need to test all three bets. If there were coincidences with the signs of the agreements described above, then you can very carefully start working with it.

If, however, all three bets have never shown signs of an agreement, and at the same time, at least one has lost, you immediately and without further explanation stop cooperation with this “expert”. You don't need him.

Force majeure in fixed matches

There have been enough examples in history when fixed matches failed right during the game, someone gave more and the events went according to a different scenario, or despite all the efforts of the athletes, it was still not possible to complete the task. It happens that the organizers in the person of the presidents and heads of clubs in the first 20 minutes hang up the players, and they play honestly.

Similar numbers occur at the end of the championships, when complex layouts are formed in the standings. The fate of outsiders is decided in several matches, and then their outcomes can be signed on paper. It happens that in games an outsider takes points without problems in a relatively fair game, since the opponent has set up a reserve lineup. Negotiators at this time can roll other clubs to get a profitable result for a third party.

A bettor who bets on a contract should not risk large sums. It is desirable that one bet does not exceed 30% of your bank. Also, one should not forget that the "informant" can be an ordinary dreamer.

As mentioned above, the end of the season is considered to be fruitful sometimes. Therefore, the main focus should be on the last quarter of the championships.

It should be borne in mind that bets on fixed matches go in certain streams. If delivered large sum, then immediately the coefficient drops, other players begin to make even more bets. Kef falls even lower, and so on. The main thing is to have time to bet on the event, when the coefficient has not yet fallen to a very small one, or until the moment when the office does not close the acceptance of bets on this duel at all.

It's no secret that match-fixing is a completely normal and natural phenomenon for modern football. It's like corruption - it will exist as long as football exists. And okay, if everything happened only at the level of rumors - they say, Spartak lost to Zenit, the fans shouted for a couple of days that the match was bought, and after a week everything was forgotten. Keep your pocket wide. Today there are real organizations that monitor the organization of match-fixing around the world. This is done according to the standard scheme: special agents sniff out information about the upcoming contract, sell it for a lot of money to special offices, which, in turn, sell it to mere mortals, and also far from free. Mere mortals bet their hard-earned money and cause significant damage to bookmakers. Here is such a system.

Of course, such a business is built on high risk and huge money, but the fact remains that fixed matches are played, and bookmakers go bankrupt. After all, in fact, everything is elementary - a millionaire pays for some match in the lower division, makes sure that the desired result is guaranteed, puts his considerable savings in a bookmaker's office, and ... and that's it, there is no bookmaker's office.

At the beginning of this year, three large English publications at once - the Guardian, the Independent and the Financial Times - published a very curious article entitled "Bookmakers are sounding the alarm", which predicted an absolute collapse of bookmakers due to match-fixing. According to statistics, on only one Foggy Albion Since January 1, 2008, 24 offices have gone bankrupt. This is approximately one office per week. In other words, each round of any division of England entails the closure of one bookmaker's office. Only the giants of this business like William hill or bwin manage to stay afloat. They are the ones who sound the alarm.

Yet again, interesting fact. Well, if fixed matches were held only in the lower divisions of the same championship of Russia - even I had to watch the organization of these. So after all, even in the homeland of football, agreements are regularly played, not to mention Spain, Italy, Germany and other, less prestigious championships. The gold rush devours even such people as, I am not afraid of this word, the best goalkeeper of modern football, Gianluigi Buffon, who bet money on his own matches. The situation when, a couple of hours before the match, on the website of one of the playing teams (I will not name their names, but anyone interested in Russian football can easily remember them) the score with which this match will end is already very few people surprised. It comes to the point of absurdity - almost every day bookmakers have to make sure that information about agreements is not leaked to the masses; and if it has already leaked, then in this case you simply have to remove this match from the totalizator. Adding something to this, I think, does not make sense.

To understand what is happening in the kitchen of match-fixing, you should directly refer to this kind of fights. Our editorial staff has managed to “solve” about thirty such cases only since January 1, 2008, that is, since the publication of that very unfortunate article that caused unprecedented excitement throughout the football world. In order to get at least an approximate picture of the organization of these contractual matches, let's turn to the most interesting and indicative of them.

January 27, the Dutch championship, an ordinary match between the teams "Twente" and "Sparta". The so-called classical contract in terms of motives. Twente is not a rich club, but then it occupied a good place in the standings. Sparta, on the other hand, was hanging somewhere in the relegation zone, so the odds for its victory in this match were equal to 9. Having lost at home to the outsider of the championship, Twente lost three points, but earned a lot of money. By the way, this is one of the reasons for the inability of the average players to compete with the giants - only when they are at the top of the standings, teams like Twente are unable to resist the temptation to earn huge money, and they begin to merge matches. This is the so-called classical scheme.

If in the previous case the contractual match was organized solely on the initiative of one club, then there are cases when teams agree jointly. On the contrary, it happens most of the time. For example, in early February, Rennes and Auxerre were supposed to meet as part of the French championship. Rennes at that time occupied a solid place in the very middle of the table, and Auxerre were desperately escaping from relegation. It is worth noting that friendship has long been established between the leadership of these clubs, and therefore they constantly leak matches to each other. It happened this time too - Rennes gave points to Auxerre at home and helped to avoid relegation to the lower division, at the same time earning good money on it.

Now, as promised, England. Do not believe it, but not just anyone was caught in a fixed match, but the most titled club of Albion, Liverpool! Very beautiful, "stylish" arrangement. Liverpool, courageously fighting for a place in the top four of the strongest Premier League, had to be distracted by the FA Cup, which took a lot of strength. The vast majority of giants in this case simply releases youngsters for such matches and flies out sooner or later. But Rafa Benitez decided to do it much smarter. He not only agreed that he would merge this match with the little-known Barnsley - in addition to this, he also squeezed the maximum odds out of him. The first half was followed by a clear advantage of the Merseysiders, who entered the field in the strongest squad. The score is 1:0 in their favor. Everything turns upside down in the second half as the Liverpool defenders literally bounce off the Barnsley attackers and let them score two goals against Reina. 2-1, Liverpool are knocked out of the FA Cup, and earn big money - the odds that Barnsley will play two goals was 40.

On February 23, the day of the defender of the fatherland, an interesting agreement was organized in Croatia. It was organized by one person, and his name was Nikola Yurchevich. Yurcevich is the undisputed authority and significant personality of Croatian football, so it would never have occurred to anyone to suspect him of something dark. On that day, Yurchevich's Dinamo Zagreb, which was more than ten points ahead of all its pursuers and practically secured gold medals, hosted Varteks, in which Yurchevich spent almost his entire football career. "Varteks" was on the penultimate place and risked to fly out of the tower, Yurchevich felt sorry for his native club, and he decided to help him with three points. He himself, in turn, made good money on this.

If fixed matches pass by the eyes of disciplinary committees throughout Europe, then what can we say about the former CIS countries. In the same Ukraine, agreements are played almost in every round. And they play, unlike in Europe, according to the classical scheme - 1:0. That is, for ninety minutes the teams are engaged in God knows what, somewhere in the middle of the match a ball flies into one of the gates, and that's it. And so it happened in the match of the championship of Ukraine between Chornomorets and Neftyanik. Although here, perhaps, the Odessans bought the match not so much for financial reasons, but for football reasons - they desperately needed three points. By that time, Neftyanik had firmly settled on the last line of the standings and did not miss the opportunity to make money on it.

The Polish championship ruins the bookmakers very noticeably. The championship, as you know, is weak - there are a couple of good teams, followed by unremarkable average teams, and even lower - absolute outsiders. It is the middle players who are most profitable to play match-fixing - they do not claim places in European competitions, they are not threatened with relegation either. Obsessed with these motives, the match-fixers decided to organize "Rukh" and "Crown" ... But, as practice shows, match-fixing tends to fail. By agreement, Rukh was supposed to win with a score of 1:0. At the beginning of the meeting, Korona conceded the ball, everything went according to plan, but in the middle of the second half, the goalkeeper of this team made a mistake and conceded the second ball. So this goalkeeper lost his place in the first team, and "Rukh" and "Crown" - good money, since the coefficient was equal to seven.

But the most inconvenient championship for turning “dark deeds” is the Bundesliga. The disciplinary committee of the German championship is very strict, so it is very, very difficult to organize match-fixing here. But, nevertheless, it is possible. In mid-March, Bayern Munich dared to do this when they went to visit the complete outsider of the championship, Cottbus. Ottmar Hitzfeld, the Munich coach at the time, decided to make some extra money before stepping down from his post. Forwards, threatening to lose their place in the squad, the mentor gave the instructions not to score, and the defenders - not even to approach the Cottbus forwards. 2:0, the absolute outsider of the championship beats the future champion, and Hitzfeld makes good money - the odds for such a victory for the hosts were 11.

In Slovakia, the attention of the whole country is riveted only to hockey, so playing match-fixing in the football championship is no problem. For example, a lot of well-informed people made money on the match between the team from the last place, Trencina, and the rather strong Nitra. Representatives of Nitra agreed with the opponent that the appearance of a struggle would be created on the field, goals would be scored to divert eyes, but in the end, the representative of the top part of the standings would win. No sooner said than done.

The main difference between our contractual matches and those in the West is that here most of the match-fixing ends with a score of 1:0, and there the appearance of a struggle is necessarily created. Otherwise, sanctions from the disciplinary committee cannot be avoided. For example, the Spanish Segunda match between Numancia and Tarragona. The famous Luis Enrique, coach of the latter, organized everything so clearly that there was nothing to complain about - an abundance of goals, cards and struggle. And, most importantly, this did not affect the final result in any way.

In the first English league, otherwise known as the Championship, almost every team has a special agent or match-fixing manager. They look for "clients", contact agents from other teams, make connections in the disciplinary committee - in a word, they make sure that everything is in the ointment. For example, according to this scheme, a match was played between Swansea and Yewil. Theatrical production, score 1:2 in favor of weaker guests. Factor 11 worked.

But, of course, the towers are towers, and the lower divisions are the main hotbeds of contractions. Fast forward to the first Swiss division. Bellizona, which is in first place and claims to enter the big leagues, went to visit Yverdon, which does not pursue any goals. The coefficient for the victory of the guests is not very high, but this did not stop the leaders of Bellizona. For ninety minutes of acting on the field, Yverdon players receive two monthly salaries, the club's management beats off this money from the bookmakers, and the team scores another three points and is one step closer to the coveted major league. All is well - such contractual matches are also very popular.

Or it happens the way it happened in early May in the championship of Portugal. Porto, which secured the first place and broke away from the nearest pursuer by 21 points, hosted the main outsider of the championship - Nacional. Naturally, the odds for the victory of the guests are simply crazy. So why shouldn't Porto's coach Jesualdo Ferreira send raw youngsters into the match, give three points to the poor Nacional and make a lot of money from it?

In general, fixed matches are most often played at the end of the championship, since many teams no longer pursue any goals. For example, in the penultimate round of the Turkish championship last year, Fenerbahce played at home with Trabzonspor. The latter desperately needed three points to reach the Intertoto Cup, while Fenerbahce was in second place in the standings in any case of the last two matches. Bookmakers did not take this into account and for some reason gave large ratio for Trabzonspor to win. Fenerbahce's mentor couldn't help but make a profit on it - already by the break the score was 0:2 in favor of the guests. At half-time, Zico, the hosts' coach, goes to the opponent's locker room and offers to finish the match with such a score and not allow the defeat, so as not to attract the attention of the disciplinary committee. As a result, the third team of Fenerbahce loses 0:2, Ziko earns money, and Trabzonspor - an important three points.

A similar arrangement was played around the same time in the Bundesliga. Borussia, no longer claiming anything, hosted Wolfsburg, a few points short of the European Cup zone. Representatives of both teams knew that the match would end with a score of 2:4 in favor of the guests. The coefficient for such an event was equal to five - a good reason to replenish the club's treasury with a couple of million euros.

A similar situation has developed in the Spanish Segunda. The second squad of Sevilla - Sevilla B - took second place in the standings, however, according to the regulations, they still could not reach the top league. Ironically, in the next round, the team hosted Malaga, which lacked three points to reach the Example. Sevilla understudies lose the match for six points in next season's matches, when Malaga will advance to the tower. That is, fixed matches are not always played just for the sake of money.

It happens that agreements are played and not at all for selfish purposes. For example, in the last round of the Segunda last season, Celta hosted Tenerife. One point is enough for each team to keep their place in the league. Naturally, the leaders of the club agree on a draw - all of Spain knew about it. 2:2 and both teams remain in the Segunda. And, of course, the clubs did not miss the chance to make money.

The same tour of the Segunda. Elche plays with Hercules. The teams are no longer fighting for anything in the standings, but a little money will not hurt anyone. Therefore, by prior arrangement, they staged a whole circus - a goal in the first minute, a goal in the second minute and eighty-eight minutes of terrible tedium, which bothered even the referee, who did not add a minute to the second half. The leaders of both clubs bet on the victory of Elche in the first half and the match as a whole. The coefficient was equal to eight.

Many agreements are played in the championship of Belarus. For example, in early June, when all the attention of the fans was devoted to the European Championship, the management of Gomel decided to merge the home match with Torpedo Zhodino. Moreover, the Gomel residents earned not from bookmakers, but from special match-fixing agents - the club management received a lot of money for the sale of such valuable information.

Or, for example, the duel between MTZ-RIPO and BATE was very strange. The coach of MTZ-RIPO, a kind of football romantic, Anatoly Zygmantovich realized that his physically addicted team could not cope even on his own field with the Borisov club, which had gained momentum, so it was decided to merge the match. Moreover, the coach decided not to bring the players up to date - he simply released six forwards, two midfielders and two defenders on the field. As a result, MTZ-RIPO scored three goals in the first half! True, and missed so much. During the break, agents called Zygmantovich and told him to immediately stop this circus. The match ended with the victory of BATE with a score of 4:3.

In almost every round of the first league of the championship of Russia fixed matches are played. For example, we can recall the match between Ural and Siberia. "Siberia" was losing match after match and was in terrible shape, while "Ural", on the contrary, tore and metal. Therefore, the best option in this case is the surrender of the match. Representatives of "Siberia" agreed on everything with the management of the opponent and match-fixing agents. The match was played according to the classic one-ball scheme - 1:0. Interestingly, the bookmakers got wind of everything a few hours before the fight and reduced the odds to the limit, but it was already too late.

It is considered very popular and profitable to take friendly matches. Sometimes they are organized only for this purpose. For example, the leadership of Wolverhampton, which was undergoing a financial crisis, decided to leak a friendly match to some weak team and cut down money on it. A club from the conference, Wrexham, was chosen as an opponent. The victory of the provincial club with a minimum score was quoted by bookmakers with a coefficient of 11. With absolutely nothing to lose and nothing to risk, the Wolverhampton management replenished the club's treasury with several million pounds and bankrupted a couple of small bookmakers.

There is such a thing as the surprise effect. If it was possible to predict many of the above agreements, then no one could say that the two leaders of the Finnish championship - Tampere United and MuPa - would also want to play a match in the middle of the season. Big bets on this fight were accepted with great enthusiasm. The bookmakers had no idea that special agents had agreed that MuPa would beat Tampere with a minimum score. This, by the way, was taken care of by the head coach of the losers.

Of course, not everything is clean in the championship of Ukraine. From the recent one, we can recall a fixed match between Vorskla and Zorya. Everything is simple here - the management of both teams are very friendly, and one constantly helps the other with points. This time there was an agreement that the Poltava players would lose to the players from Lugansk with a minimum score. No sooner said than done.

Just drowning in Leeds United match-fixing. In general, the team rarely plays matches honestly - it constantly buys and sells them. Leeds are trying to correct their deplorable financial condition fixed matches, but only worsens it because of terrible results. And so from season to season ... But that's another topic. One of these matches was the confrontation with Oldham. The Leeds manager assured match-fixing agents that the match would be leaked. He was merged, by the way, not according to the standard scheme, since the disciplinary committee has already caught Leeds United on such tricks more than once and is watching him especially closely. There were no goals in the first half, and in the second, Oldham scored two unanswered goals against the hosts.

At the end of August, the leaders of the Greek Olympiacos just made a brilliant money. Moreover, they did this by beating the modest Asteras Tripolis, which occupies the penultimate place in the standings. Olympiacos, the multiple champion of Greece, would have beaten an outsider anyway, but decided to do it much more inventively. The usual victory of the red-whites was estimated at a coefficient of only 1.5, while a strong-willed victory was worth ten times more. Therefore, Olipiacos lost the first half with a score of 1:0, and in the second half sent three goals into the Asteras goal. And the wolves are full, and the sheep are safe.

It is believed that the safest score in relation to the disciplinary committee is 2:1. Like, there was a struggle, but one of the teams turned out to be a little stronger. Yes, and random victories most often end with such a universal score. It was on this account that the management of Carlisle and Southend agreed, having played a contractual match in early September this year.

The last of the agreements we declassified was a duel in the second English league between Dag and Red Time and Wycombe. Again, the classic scheme and the score 2:1. Victory in the first half and in the entire match. Coefficient 5.2. Safe, secure and profitable.

These are the pies. Football is football and business is business. One thing is interesting. Who will be the first Russian club to think of buying all the matches of the Russian Cup of the next season (~2 million euros), and then all the matches of the Europa League of the first season (~10 million euros), in order to recoup all costs in the 2010-11 season by directly entering the League group stage champions?

According to some very narrow-minded and quick-tempered bettors, almost all matches in football are “100% negotiated”. Especially often match-fixing "happen" when a player's bet fails. But jokes aside, the factor of corruption in football cannot be denied.

Another thing is that there are not so many proven examples of fixed matches or simply dishonest fights. But corruption is, was and will be in football. It happens in every field. human life in which a lot of money is spinning.

What matches are most often fixed?

Usually those fights have a dubious status, in which one team really needs something, and the other, on the contrary, does not need anything. Even in European countries there are times when a third party incentivizes a third party team for their own benefit.

You must remember how the England team ended up out of Euro 2008? Then the Croatian national team beat the English at Wembley with a score of 2-3. At the same time, there was information in the press that Croatian football players were stimulated by Russian oligarchs.

After all, it was Russia that, as a result of this victory of the Croats, was the main winner - it was able to enter the European Championship.

Stimulation is considered an unethical move, although not universally prohibited. It is much worse when teams directly agree among themselves.

This happened in 1982, when the national teams of Austria and Germany played a match with the right account and left the Algerians out of the tournament. This is what the Swedes and Danes did when they weeded out the Italians at Euro 2004. That is, there are agreements even at this level.

There are even more of them in the endings of the championships. Sometimes it is cheaper for teams to “pay” the opponent than to lose money from relegation / not getting into an international club tournament, and so on. And this happens in many leagues, even very reputable ones (Liga, Serie A). Cache is not always used as a fee. Sometimes it can be a loan of a player, and sometimes a debt in the form of points already in the next season.

Leagues and countries where there are the most agreements

There is one very interesting way determine the league with the most draws - look at the number of draws. Why?

  • Firstly, a draw often satisfies both sides of the "agreement" at once.
  • Secondly, the draw usually has the most high ratio in matches of approximately two equal teams.

So, on the European continent, and throughout the world, Serie B is the leader in terms of the number of draws in the 2016-2017 season. The same Serie B, in which teams and players regularly receive fines and disqualifications for organizing or attempting to organize fixed matches.

Former Milan, Parma, Sampdoria, Bari and Belarus national team player Vitaly Kutuzov was suspended for 3.5 years in 2013. Along with him, another 20 players received punishments. They were accused of surrendering matches in Serie B.

Italy is the most corrupt football country in Western Europe. You must remember the scandal of 2006, when almost half of Serie A teams, including Juventus, Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina, Reggina, participated in the organization of fixed matches. As a result of this, Juventus were generally relegated to Serie B.

In the top twenty leagues with the most draws, there are 12 lower divisions at once. This list included:

  • Russian FNL;
  • Serie B;
  • two top divisions in Israel;
  • three lower Spanish leagues at once;
  • championships of the Balkan countries (Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia);
  • minor leagues in South America(Chile, Argentina);
  • the second league of India;
  • two African championships (Tunisian elite division, South African second league).

What we have? Spain and Italy, where last years there are proven cases of match-fixing, dubious Balkan leagues, minor leagues in SA, African leagues, FNL, and Israel. All countries except Israel have huge problems with corruption.

There were no strong European or South American leagues in the top 50. The 52nd place went to the Chilean example, and the 54th place went to the Premier League.

Quite a strange spread, don't you think? This once again proves that match-fixing is a very common occurrence in the lower leagues. The example of two matches of the 4th division of the Nigerian championship is still fresh. The teams that were fighting for promotion scored 152 goals for two of their rivals, as the outcome of the tour was to be decided by the difference between goals scored and conceded.

Don't trust match fixers

There are fixed matches in football, but they are not organized by poor people who are connected with the criminal world. Naturally, they are trying to narrow the circle of individuals aware of the collusion. And here sellers of fixed matches enter the arena, who are ready to give you such information for a couple of thousand wooden ones. Do you realize how illogical and stupid that sounds? And it would be fine if these people were selling, say, "negotiables" in the PFL or even the FNL.

In the new season, the Premier League will continue to cooperate with bookmakers, who will be called upon to inform the league about all suspicious trends and quotes. Dmitry Pavlovsky, one of the bookmakers' curators of the project, spoke about the joint work and the "early warning system" for SE.

We have been cooperating with the most authoritative sports organization of our country for the fourth year already, it is a great honor for us, - Pavlovsky noted. - From this season, within the framework of the official partnership with the RFPL, our joint program will be aired on the Nash Football TV channel almost before every round. The fan will be able to look at the tournament from a new angle.

- What else is such a partnership useful for?

In the near future we hope to continue the practice of accepting bets directly at the stadiums during matches in the best traditions of English bookmakers. This project has been developing for three years, but now due to some licensing reasons it has been suspended.

Our goal is to popularize domestic football. Think about it: the number 1 sport accounts for 80 percent of all bets, but only a small part - for Russian competitions.

In 2013, the President of Russia signed a law on the elimination of illegal influence on the results of sports matches. In this regard, our cooperation with the Premier League has reached a new level, which is very timely.

- What exactly is the advantage of the "weird match early warning system"?

We began to develop this direction several years ago. This was made possible by technologies received from FIFA and UEFA. There, by the way, great attention is paid to the system, because in the 21st century sports and bookmaking have become even closer.

At a very early stage, federations receive information from bookmakers and identify suspicious fights, can conduct internal investigations, and take action. The system was tested at major tournaments, we worked closely with the Sochi 2014 Olympic Committee, gained even more experience during the Brazilian World Cup, and continue regular consultations with FIFA and UEFA. And now we are ready to provide RFPL with all our technical developments created over five years, all the knowledge base of our analysts.

- How do bookmakers understand that this or that match can be "unclean"?

The early warning system is not targeted. We don't sit and wait for something to happen. Conducted daily painstaking work. Employees of our company daily provide information to the Premier League for analysis. Experts jointly evaluate whether some trends are suspicious or there is no manipulation, and this is just a coincidence. A dossier is kept for each player, in which the nature of his game and other parameters are entered, and the league is working on each club, each coach, each referee. All this allows us to make our football cleaner, because dubious elements know that they are being watched. Every year there are less and less suspicions, these are objective statistics.

- Can you give specific cases when the system worked?

A specific case is when the court makes a decision and calls the match fixed. This has happened a handful of times around the world. We are talking about suspicions, on the basis of which the work of the RFPL security services and clubs is based. In Europe, a similar system is called the Betting Fraud Detection System (BFDS), which cooperates with Interpol. FIFA operates the Early Warning System (EWS). But the essence is the same everywhere - the more attention is drawn to the problem from the sports community and law enforcement agencies, the cleaner the sport becomes.

- Directly with law enforcement agencies you do not cooperate?

No, only with the Premier League. This is the European experience. Bookmakers do not work with the police themselves. They analyze.

- Do matches in Russian football often cause suspicion?

At an early stage, in the year 2008, there were quite a few cases. But with the introduction of an early warning system that is really effective, their number is literally falling before our eyes.

"Agreements" in Russian football

There have been reports on the Internet more than once that an “agreement” was played in the Russian Premier League, in other words, this is a match, the result of which is known in advance to certain persons, who just predetermined this or that outcome. Subsequently, such statements were refuted, players, coaches and presidents insisted that this was just an attempt to tarnish their reputation. Further investigations also could not confirm or refute the existence of the “agreement”.

If we think logically, then we can draw the following conclusion: fixed matches do exist, and this can be seen from what investigations were carried out in Italy, and how many teams were then affected by own desire earn extra money on matches with a predetermined outcome.

However, after the first conclusion comes the second: to prove that the match is fixed is very, very difficult, and sometimes simply impossible. Such logical reflections lead us to the third, and perhaps the most important conclusion: fixed matches in Russian football, even if they exist, will never be known to mere mortals like you and me. All contracts are held on the highest level, and concern only a few people of a serious level, otherwise the topic would have long ago caused a wide public outcry.

At the same time, in in social networks almost every day new personalities appear, offering to buy from them reliable information about the upcoming "dogs". Sounds funny, doesn't it? But thousands of people still continue to believe such scammers.

Arrangements in the Premier League may exist, but only their direct organizers can know about such matches

Whistleblowers and their fraud

Currently, on the Internet you can find many informants who allegedly have insider information regarding upcoming matches in the RFPL or FNL. As a rule, these scammers tell the following details about themselves:

  • They share insider information from reliable informants so that they are not "spotted" by bookmakers.
  • Some even admit that they personally participate in the organization of "agreements".
  • They can give you one match to try. The scheme works in such a way that the scammer sends different outcomes of the same sporting event to different clients.
  • They are extremely rich and successful, so they want all other people to live just as beautifully.

You can often find the results of supposedly contractual matches of the FNL of Russia, the main emphasis is on the fact that this league is lower in terms of level and class of play than the Premier League, so none of the players will refuse a well-paid "agreement".
