• mechanical cleaning. Using a needle, a thin pin or a regular dart, clean the outlet and inlet of the jet as much as possible. Upon completion of this procedure, the part nozzle is washed with water from a syringe, as in the previous cleaning option.

If, despite all the above methods, cleaning the windshield washer nozzle did not bring a positive result, you can try leaving the jets in a soapy solution overnight. After that, you can try again to use one of the methods. If this does not lead to the restoration of the part, it is best to simply replace it with a new one.

On some models of vehicles, nozzles are installed that have a collapsible design. Cleaning them is much easier: the end sleeve is removed from the part, the spring and ball, which are necessarily present in the design, are removed. After that, the jet is washed with water and assembled in the reverse order.

Before flushing the washer nozzles, it is imperative that all hoses that supply fluid must be disconnected. If this is not done, debris will also enter the system, as a result of which the contamination of the jets will become business as usual, there may also be problems with other elements of the treatment system.

All sharp objects - needles, pins and the like - should be used with extreme caution. Cleaning can disturb the calibration of the holes, which will cause a decrease in the efficiency of the system. This is especially true for ball nozzles.

If the jets become clogged too often, it is recommended to check the entire system for small debris. And in general, when cleaning washer jets, it is best to clean this entire system.
