When they accept in the October of Belarus. Speech of the propaganda team "We are together"

In Belarus, four out of ten children of the corresponding age are listed as pioneers, nine out of ten in October. Most of them were not even asked about their wishes, and in some schools these organizations are “accepted” even against the will of their parents.

The Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization "BRPO" celebrated the day of the constitution of Belarus by accepting new members of the organization into its ranks. BRPO are octobers and pioneers at the same time. The organization describes itself as the largest non-political public organization for children and youth in the country. At the same time, the leaders of the BRPO, together with the leaders of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, have jobs in the building of the former Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League of Belarus on Karl Marx Street, in the center of Minsk, Radio Svaboda reports.

Pioneer with 75 years of "experience"

The Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization celebrated the 25th anniversary of its new Belarusian history last year. As of January 1 of this year, the BRPO had 626,000 children. Of these, 232,000 are Octobrists aged seven to nine, and 393,000 are pioneers aged ten to 18.

The leaders call their organization the largest children's and youth organization in the country, created exclusively on a voluntary basis. The purpose of the activity is social and patriotic:

“To help every pioneer become a citizen, to benefit himself, his family, and his Motherland by his deeds and deeds,” says Marina Bogdanova, deputy chairman of the organization.

“We are the successors of the best traditions, because not everything was so bad with the pioneer organization in Soviet times. Pioneer squads operate in almost all educational institutions, but not 100%. It depends on the desire to create pioneer squads on the ground, exclusively on a voluntary basis - we do not oblige anyone, ”said Bogdanova.

The Chairperson stressed that joining the Octobrists and Pioneers under the age of 14 takes place with the permission of the parents, and after 14 - at the request of the children themselves. From the age of 14, a person receives a passport, from this age administrative responsibility comes, naturally, this is already an independent person. But members of the organization can be any citizen of the country, regardless of age.

“We have a pioneer who joined the organization on May 19, 1941,” said Marina Bogdanova.

“The place where the star fell was called“ zero kilometer ”- the beginning of all roads in the center of the capital, on October Square”

The modern history and paraphernalia of the Belarusian October Pioneers differs significantly from the history and external symbols of their Soviet predecessors. The legend about the Belarusian Octobrists, in particular, says:

“In the distant, distant mysterious times, there lived guys like you - brave and curious. They lived in a beautiful country among green forests, blue lakes and rivers. One thing only embarrassed them - they could not leave the city in which they lived, because there were no roads yet. But one autumn, in October, when the stars in the sky were at their zenith, a shooting star cut the blue night sky. She was very small and fell right into the city, on one of the squares of the capital. The place where the star fell was called "zero kilometer" - the beginning of all roads in the center of the country's capital, on October Square, and the brave children - Octoberists.

The legend of the "Creator and the little man" - the leader

Unlike the Octobrists, the Belarusian pioneers have several legends of their origin at once. One of them is called "The Legend of the Creator and the Little Man":

“It was at the beginning of my life. The great Creator sat on the top of the mountain and looked down at the Earth. He was very bored. What did I do wrong? Why do they hate each other so much? And suddenly the Creator saw the Little Man deftly climbing the mountain. Wow, how young and how persistent! The face is open, serious, and the eyes are kind, kind. Wait! Where are you hurrying? What is your name? - Once upon a time, O Great One! There, by the fire, the children are waiting for me! And my name is the counselor!

There are legends about other signs and symbols of the pioneers: a fire, a flag, a tie. The red-green tie no longer symbolizes red blood and the unity of the Young Communist League pioneers and communists. The hand thrown up is not a symbol of the elevation of the public over the personal, but simply a pioneer greeting. October and pioneer badges - without Lenin, with the outlines of Belarus in red and green trim.

BRPO is a public organization, buildings are state

Marina Bogdanova emphasizes that BRPO is a public organization, and teachers-organizers in educational institutions work with October pioneers on a voluntary basis. When joining the organization, children pay a one-time contribution, which is "affordable" for every child. At the same time, the leadership of the Central Council of the BRPO is located in the building of the former Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League on Karl Marx Street, which is in the center of Minsk and next to Lukashenka's administration.

“The Belarusian Republican Youth Union is located on Karl Marx, and we, the Central Council of the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization, are also located there. We do not rent premises - this has happened historically, ”says Bogdanova.

"Public organization" for which children are campaigning in schools

Is it really the children themselves and their parents who express the initiative and desire to become Octobrists or pioneers? The journalists asked the parents of schoolchildren about this. They also asked about their thoughts on the social status of the BRPO-BRSM. The mother of a sixth-grade student of the Minsk gymnasium No. 23 Elena says:

“About public organizations, already by the name, one can assume that they are founded and operate for the funds and forces of the public. This means that, in addition to the legal procedure for drawing up a charter, a meeting of founders, registration, they must have a legal address.

That is, either have your own premises, or rent it, paying big money today. BRPO-BRSM - as I understand it - received a building near Lukashenka's administration as a gift from the state, since it does not rent it, but has its own premises there. What other public organization in the country has received such a gift from the state, and most importantly, for what merits?

Or for which other public organization, besides the October Pioneers, do children agitate in schools? Then what kind of public organization is it then - it is directly connected with state structures. And here you can really talk about the “continuity of traditions”, since only in Soviet times did the Communists-Komsomol members build the best buildings for themselves with taxpayers’ money, ”says Elena.

The woman believes that the same applies to the activities of this organization in schools.

The Belarusian-language gymnasium is located in the center of the city. Children are brought here from different parts of Minsk precisely so that they can learn in Belarusian. Therefore, the vast majority of parents have an active life position and are well aware of the role of Bolshevism in the history of the country. Therefore, in the gymnasium, no one even talked about October Pioneers. But the director changed, and the class teacher suddenly began to ask the children who would like to become pioneers, and to ask their parents if they give permission. There were no such people in the class of the child Elena, but in the gymnasium itself they say that something like that has nevertheless appeared.

“They forced my daughter to hang a pioneer rag with communist flowers around her neck”

At school number 23, which is located on the outskirts of Minsk, the situation with the pioneers is almost the opposite. Not all parents manage to ensure that their children are not accepted into this organization. Says the father of 12-year-old Aneli Dmitry Marchuk:

“In our school, children were accepted without exception, they were simply driven by force. At first they campaigned for the October Pioneers, and after that they simply drove everyone. I went to the director and said that why are you agitating for the Octobrists, the pioneers? If these are public organizations, then why is it not campaigning for other organizations too? For example, for the Belarusian Christian Democracy, for the Young Front, for the Young Democrats, or what others? Children should have an alternative, and why do you deprive children of it?

My ex-wife agreed that her daughter be accepted as a pioneer, no one asked my opinion and no one was interested in it. Is this the legal action of the administration? I found out later - only one girl from the class where her daughter studies did not enter anywhere. I myself am a believer, and I asked her parents if they were believers. And they said no, not believers, but we know how much blood the Bolsheviks have on their hands, and these children's organizations are their followers, so we don't need them. And I fully support them,” said Dmitry Marchuk.

He told reporters that he had asked his acquaintances if such a mass corral of children into pro-Bolshevik organizations was taking place in other schools. "Thank God, not in all."

Dmitry wanted to understand what caused such stubborn idolatry of communist idols in this school.

“Really in order to express gratitude to the main Bolshevik ideologist of the country, since this school is the most expensive of all? Be that as it may, the result is that God punishes the people and the country for idolatry. And, despite my prohibitions, they still forced my daughter to hang a pioneer rag with communist flowers around her neck!

This is how teachers and school leaders instill in children disrespect for parents! In this way, they force children to break one of the 10 commandments in order to honor their parents! They are not afraid to anger either God or people, from which God's curse and punishment did not escape this school! It was at this school in front of the porch that a student died under the wheels of a car during a parent-teacher meeting, which was resonated in the media in November 2012,” Marchuk shared.

The legend of October

In mysterious times far, far away, children like you lived - brave, courageous and curious. They lived in a wonderful country among green forests, blue lakes and rivers. One thing was bad for them: they could not leave their city, because there were no roads yet, there were only rare paths that did not go beyond the familiar forest. And there were no signs that would help to return home either ...
But one autumn, in October, when the stars in the sky are the highest, a shooting star traced the night sky. She was very small and fell right on the city, on one of the squares. The curious and brave inhabitants gazed with wonder at the star, which shone with a warm, bright golden light. This light illuminated the entire city and hit the night sky like a bright beam. A lot of time passed, the inhabitants got used to the night starlight, and the star did not go out at all during this time.
And then the brave and curious children of the city decided to go on a journey to unseen lands. They broke up into several detachments and went to different parts of the world. Every evening they looked back and saw a star beam above the treetops, which shone as brightly as before. Their journey lasted many days. They met dangerous trials, secrets, riddles, adventures and, of course, new friends on the way. Along the way, they learned to recognize the world around them through their own activities. And they returned to their city in the same way to the light of the stars and told other children interesting stories about distant countries. And then new detachments of little brave men set off on wonderful expeditions.
Many years later, the star began to fade. The extinguished star became a symbol of the beginning of all the roads that by that time the inhabitants of the city had laid to all countries of the world, as well as a symbol of brave and courageous children - October.
Oktyabrenok is a small but brave discoverer. He is ready to go on new roads and learn a lot of new things, cope with difficulties, participate in adventures. His life is full of interesting meetings, good deeds and discoveries.

Tie legend

A long time ago, very kind people lived in one country. They brought joy to everyone, gave good, always the first to come where misfortune happened. And when they realized that everyone around them became happy, they boarded a ship and decided to sail to other countries. Help other people. And in order to be recognized everywhere, as a symbol of goodness and happiness, they chose scarlet sails. Every morning a sail of hope appeared on the horizon. But one day a big storm broke out at sea. The whole night the elements raged. The ship, like a chip, was carried along the waves, and in the morning the sun appeared. The inhabitants, as usual, went ashore to meet the scarlet sails. But the horizon was clear. And only the waves carried the kerchiefs torn from the masts ashore. People began to wear them around their necks as a symbol of hope, happiness, faith and goodness. And people in red ties became, as it were, part of this ship, and wherever they appeared, they helped others, brought goodness and justice.

Worried, Mensker turned to TUT.BY with a request to explain to him the activities of the Oktyabryata organization and the legitimacy of the MANDATORY entry into it of elementary school students from the Borovlya secondary school.

How TUT.BY found out many schoolchildren in Borovlyany have already brought a similar statement to their parents. Olga, mother of a second-grader at the Borovlyansk gymnasium, says:

“A month and a half ago, my son brought me an application from school for joining the ranks of the Octobrists and with the words “How will I be without a badge?” He asked me to sign it. To which dad promised to buy him other badges, but did not support the idea of joining the Octobrists there was no pressure on this matter, although, perhaps, we were just lucky with the class teacher.I think no one is forcing anyone to join the Octobrists, it’s just that the children don’t want to remain without a badge or somehow stand out among their peers, which is why they tell their parents that the application must be signed."

TUT.BY contacted the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, whose subdivision is the Oktyabryata group. As the curator of this group, Natalya Valeryevna, told us, today there are 232,000 Octobers in Belarus.

This program is designed for children from 6-9 years old (upon reaching the age of 10, the child joins the ranks of the pioneers). The Oktyabryata program is exclusively voluntary, however, according to the Charter, children under 14 can join organizations only with the permission of adults. Therefore, Natalya Valerievna explains, for a child who wants to become an October, the presence of the parents' signature in the application for the admission of their child to the October is MANDATORY. It is interesting that some children, contrary to the wishes of adults, even forge signatures in the application, just to join the ranks of the Octobrists, the curator of the program told us.

The main goal of the program "October" puts the education of independence and patriotism in children. Within the framework of the program, a pioneer squad is constantly working with the Octobrists. In the classes, which are held once every 1-2 weeks, children are taught the history of Belarus, introduced to the state symbols of the country. Actions are regularly held to involve elementary school students in active social activities: helping nature, the elderly, according to the official website of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

Entrance fee to the ranks of the "October" - 1500 Belarusian rubles. At any time, a child can leave the organization by writing a statement.

A distinctive attribute of the Octobrist is a badge in red and green colors.

By the way

The first Oktyabryata groups arose in 1923-24 in Moscow under detachments of pioneers. They accepted children - the same age as the October Revolution of 1917, hence the name of the group "October".

Dear readers, if an event of public interest occurs near you or your friends, do not pass by! You can send us your news using the feedback form. We are waiting for your messages TUT !

Ekaterina M. from Brest told her story about the Octobrists, Lenin, and 100% “jointness” of BG over the phone: “Recently, my second-grader child comes from school and says: “Mom, I need to hand over 2,000 for the Octobrists.” I was dumbfounded: what October?! Then the following dialogue followed: “Why do you want to join the Octobrists?” “Because everyone is joining!” - "And who are the Octobrists?" - “I don’t know ...” - “What will you do there?” “To play, to sing songs, to read poetry to other children… We have already been asked who will learn the verse about Lenin.” “And who is Lenin?” - “I don’t know ...” - “And what, none of the children in the class asked who Lenin was?” - "No…"

The story continued the next day at school. Noticing Ekaterina, the teacher immediately reminded her of the unpaid money for October badges, and in response to her mother’s words “we decided not to join the October, because no one can oblige us to this,” she gave a weighty argument: “But everyone joins!” “When I asked if my child would have problems at school, the teacher replied with a sigh, “The teacher will have problems. We were ordered to have 100% participation in the Octobrists,” Ekaterina finished her story and asked BG to find out what kind of standards these are, what kind of organization it is and what it teaches.

"Raise a Patriot and Raise a Leader"

We asked the chairman of the regional pioneer organization, chief specialist of the regional committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Svetlana Mirchuk, who oversees the Oktyabryata group, to comment on the situation. According to her, there is no such indication at the regional, city or district levels. “Most likely, in this school they want to be always and in everything ahead, to keep up with others in terms of the size of the organization,” suggested Svetlana. - They can be understood, but I think this is the wrong position. It is necessary to explain, to interest children, so that they themselves are drawn to the organization. As for the parents' disagreement... Yes, the parents have expressed their position, but the child suffers. Perhaps, at first, the child enters October not quite consciously: everyone goes, and he goes. First of all, he wants to fasten a badge. But when he is given assignments in the "asterisk", he already begins to feel that something is possible, that someone needs it, that he has assignments, that he is an important person in his "asterisk". After all, the goal of the October organization is to raise a leader, a patriot, a person, to give children the opportunity to feel themselves in demand in society. Literally on October 20, we held an organized reception at the Octobrists in the fortress. Many called me, came, there were parents. At least, having visited this holiday, adults realized that this is just a children's association, where it is not scary to let a child go. Yes, it is an organization, but not the same as in the past. This is a children's association that lives by its own rules and laws. It is not connected with the name of Lenin. And the name “October” came from the wonderful month of October, as a rule, in this month all mass entry into our organization takes place.

"Parental consent required"

As Svetlana Mirchuk said, in order for a child to join an organization, whether it be Octobrists or Pioneers, according to the charter, a mandatory written consent of the parents is required. However, this condition is not observed in all schools. BG talked to several more parents, and it turned out that no written consent was taken from them. “Somehow my son came from school and showed a diary in which it was written: “Bring 2 thousand for an asterisk,” recalls Inna D. “No one asked my consent. He wants to go to October, let him go to October, that he should be an outcast. However, I still do not know what they are doing there. It seems like poetry is taught, waste paper is collected. Only non-October people can do this. ”

No one asked Svetlana K.'s consent either: “So what, let him enter. At school, nothing is done to organize the leisure of children. In general, I have become so selfish ... I don't care. If the teacher needs it, let her join. The main thing is that my child studies well and enters the university.”

But the teacher of the 2nd "B" class of the gymnasium No. 6 in Brest, Olga Zolotareva, says that in their gymnasium, parents only welcome the entry of children into the Octobrists and Pioneers. “At the parent meeting, we explain to moms and dads what kind of organization it is, what children will do in it,” Olga Fedorovna told BG. - They signed the applications with pleasure, since almost all of them were Octobrists themselves in the past. Everyone said that now it’s impossible to do without it, that the children’s organization is very good, this is progress.”
