I didn’t dream about dancing, like other girls, in my childhood, and I started dancing only thanks to my mother. A neuropathologist who had worked all her life in the Oktyabrskaya hospital, she did not want me to go into medicine in any way. Mom is a doctor from God, she helped many people, for which they are very grateful to her. But she thought it was exhausting, self-sacrificing work, so she didn't want it for me. Mom always wanted me to dance, although she never thought about making it my profession. It’s just that she herself once dreamed of dancing - and she was able to make her dream come true in my life.

I grew up as an ugly child, in my childhood there was nothing special in my appearance, and I began to transform, probably, only at the age of thirteen. But my mother always dressed me up, because she wanted a girl (I have two older brothers), and took me to classes in various circles. At the age of six, I went to the first grade of school, and at the same time my mother sent me to folk dances and courses. in English- I decided to load the child in full.

I remember that I was very indignant about this: all normal, as it seemed to me then, children attend only one school, and I go to three. When I was eight, there were also German courses. Of course, my mother understood that it would be difficult for me, but she accustomed me to difficulties from childhood, explaining: “If you want to achieve something in life, you need to work very hard. If you can do a lot, then you are successful.” It is largely thanks to these her attitudes that I have what I have now.

- Did you think then that you would become a professional dancer?

- Few people, starting to dance in such early age, expects that over time this occupation will become a profession. Rather, parents argue like this: dancing will benefit any girl - they will make her graceful and plastic. Neither I nor my parents imagined that this would become for me not just a hobby or a sport to maintain physical form but the main business of my life.

From the age of six to eight I worked folk dances And classical choreography. I remember well how my first teacher Lyubov Dmitrievna tried to pick up my partner for another girl, put me in the last line and never assessed me as good dancer in future.

Then my mother gave me to ballroom dancing, where there was another teacher - Victoria Petrovna - and a completely different attitude: they believed in me there. True, it was difficult for the coach to work with me and with my partner, as we constantly cursed. I always tried to lead and did not recognize the male championship in dancing. This is what my mother told me.

On the other hand, sport tempered my character - I have a truly fighting one: I am a stubborn person, in some ways even stubborn, purposeful, and dancing classes also added rigidity to me. Several times, however, I wanted to give up, but not because it was very difficult, although this cannot be discounted. The fact is that ballroom dancing cannot be practiced without a partner, and one day I was left without him. At such moments future prospects and I didn’t see the expediency of playing sports, I wanted to quit everything and go headlong into study.

October 15 at 21:00 on 1+1 TV channel will host the quarterfinals of the legendary updated project.

There are only a few days left before the grand finale of "Dances with the Stars", so with each broadcast the tension on the floor and in the dance halls is growing: all the star couples of the project strive to get the title best dancers Ukraine. So, Akhtem Seitablaev and Alena Shoptenko said that they spend 6-8 hours a day in training, and also admitted who is in charge in their pair:

“It is a great honor for me to go on the floor with such a professional person as Alena. To be honest, I was even afraid to dance with her: what can I give to the two-time world champion in ballroom dancing. I confess that at first there was fear, but Alena is a very sociable person. It is interesting that the question of who is in charge in our pair did not arise. It was immediately clear that Alena. In turn, Alena Shoptenko said that she was learning acting from her partner and would even think about a film career:

"I'm less strict with Akhtem than with anyone else. It's simple: I don't have to be very strict with him, because Akhtem does everything I ask him to do. He doesn't need to be persuaded or asked several times, he comes in the hall and works hard. I think it's very masculine. In turn, I also learn from Akhtem, especially in terms of playing and building drama in our performances, "said Alena.

Alena also admitted that, as in the first season of "Dance with the Stars", she confidently goes to the final:

"Then I was 18 years old, and I did not think about winning, but just doing my job and enjoying the world of choreography and communication with a partner. After 10 years, I also love dance, I strive to create productions for highest level and give emotions to the audience. After all, the process is the victory," the dancer admitted.

Interestingly, Akhtem and Alena still refer to each other as "you":

"It's natural for me. I very often turn to people whom I respect very much, to" you ". We are so comfortable, and this is the most important thing," admitted Alena Shoptenko.

About yesterday's dance. It's about a very personal thing that I don't like to talk about. Especially writing! But this performance came out so real that I really wanted to tell, ”Shoptenko wrote on Instagram, posting a video of her performance with Akhtem.

“Already during the project, one day my husband came into the room and timidly asked me to put on a dance, if possible with all the complex processes of selecting music for a couple on the project, to his favorite song "People" Boombox,” Alena continued.

“This song means a lot to us, as it appeared and played a lot in a very difficult period of our relationship. She always reminded me of what is really important in this life - "People are only a few, as much loved". But I’ll add on my own that even when we talk about it with our loved ones, ”Shoptenko said.
