The soloist of the theater "Baikal" took part in the filming of "Evening Urgant"

He also captivated Internet users by singing a Buryat song near Ostankino

Soloist of the Song and Dance Theater "Baikal" Aldar Dashiev sang a song in the Buryat language "Uuzham Buryaad oron" near the Moscow television center Ostankino. The video appeared on the VKontakte social network on November 21 and gained more than 24,000 views from Internet users in seven days. In addition, residents of Buryatia are happy to place the video on their pages.

As Aldar told Baikal-Daily, the idea to sing the composition on video came to him while walking near the television center after filming at Evening Urgant.

On that day, I went to the program "Evening Urgant" as a spectator, where Luis Fonsi, the performer of the song "Despacito", was a guest. After the program, I left the Ostankino television center, decided to take a walk, and at that moment the idea came to sing a song near the famous building. Putting the backpack on the bench and the phone to it, he turned on the camera so that everything could be seen, sat next to him and sang the Buryat folk song “Uuzham Buryaad”. I recorded a few takes and moved on,” he said.

The soloist of the Baikal Theater visited the program to see and hear the famous Puerto Rican singer live. Since shortly before that he translated and sang the hit "Despacito" in the Buryat language. He did this, according to Aldar, so that the inhabitants of the republic, especially young people, began to be more often interested in their native language and songs.

The artist also shared with Baikal-Daily his impressions of the filming of Ivan Urgant's program:

At Urgant, everything was prepared, literally in 40 minutes the shooting was completed - without a pause, without re-recording. I was very glad to see popular people, and, most importantly, I remember the atmosphere of working in the studio. This is a well-coordinated work of the camera team, director, assistants and, of course, Urgant himself.

Aldar Dashiev works at the Baikal Theatre, but is currently on a sabbatical in the Russian capital. The singer ended up in Moscow after a trip to Italy, where he studied the country, met new people.

We even managed to do a small concert there with jazz musicians. I like experiments in music with folk songs and motifs. And now in Moscow I am also getting acquainted with new musicians, with people who are interested in ethno, folk, - he added.

In the capital, he also made a creative evening at the Selenge ethno-cultural center.

Recall that this fall, a native of Ulan-Ude, a graduate of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Nikita Sukhanov completed an internship at the Evening Urgant show as an assistant administrator.

Aldar Dashiev is the owner of a unique voice, so rare that he is the only performer in the world of the most drawn-out Buryat songs. While still a student at the University of Culture and Arts of Mongolia, he became a real discovery in the music world. On October 9, at the Buryat Drama Theater, he will give his first solo concert.

He is often compared to Vitas, who, like Aldar, loves to masterfully play with his voice. However, without false modesty, we note: our Aldar succeeded in this matter much more.

The fact that you have a unique voice in front of you becomes obvious from the first words: in communication, the voice of a young man is very thin, but when he starts to sing, his voice takes on many shades and can be both high and low.

“As a child, my voice was even thinner, in adolescence it changed, but not much,” says Aldar Dashiev. - Sometimes people, having heard it, are surprised and look at me for a long time (laughs). But then they stop paying attention to it.

Aldar Dashiev's voice is ideal for such a rare manner of performance as drawling singing. After all, it is characterized by a very complex technique, in which one syllable can last 30 seconds. And the verse is 4-5 minutes long. At the same time, the range of the voice should change - become either wide or narrow, the voice should sound on a low note, and then "go" up. The performer must memorize all the nuances of a drawn-out song, its melismas and decorations - this is not given to every singer. To show how drawling singing differs from other performances, Aldar began to sing. And immediately the steppe appeared before my eyes, the feeling of its boundlessness, freedom and wind.

Aldar loved to sing and dance as a child, and for the first time he went on stage at the age of six. In the Dzhidin village where he was born and grew up, there was no music school, so the young man himself wrote down the words and learned the songs.

When the guy studied at the music college at the folklore department, the students were given the task of collecting Buryat folk songs. And, coming to the village for the holidays, Aldar went to different grandparents with tea and gifts to find out from them what Buryat songs they know. Much of what he collected is already forgotten today, no one is fulfilling it, and many of those who knew are no longer alive. So Aldar got a rare luggage of a forgotten folklore heritage, which he is gradually restoring.

Having learned from grandparents about drawling singing, Aldar in 2008 went to Mongolia, where the masters of this manner of performance are concentrated. Even then, he was known to music critics at the Altargana-2006 competitions, where he became the 1st degree laureate, the Dugar Dashiev vocal competition (1st prize winner), the Altan Guralday folk song contest (winner). Knowing about the musical talent of Aldar, Natalya Ulanova, known for discovering new names for Buryatia, invited him to participate in the Voice of the Nomads.

After learning a rare skill and returning to his homeland, Aldar came to the Baikal Song and Dance Theater. And for several years of work in the theater, the young man formed a song repertoire.

The first solo concert for Aldar is a new experience. Now he is completely busy preparing for this event - so much so that there is no time for excitement.

The concert program includes authentic folk Buryat songs, songs of the southern Buryats, which Aldar Dashiev specializes in, as well as author's songs, modern compositions using modern synthesized instruments. Kalmyk songs await the audience, and even a surprise - a performance of the opera by a countertenor, i.e. when a man sings with a woman's voice. Aldar does not reveal what kind of opera the audience will hear: “Everyone knows how I sing folk songs, but opera performance, especially in such an original form, I think, will surprise many.”

Within the framework of the concert, the premiere of several author's songs will take place, among them "Turehen nyutag", in which Aldar calls to "raise" the Motherland together, to please and respect parents, etc. In the song “Buryaad khelemnai”, Aldar already speaks about the Buryat language, about the need to preserve it. In general, the young man is a great patriot of Buryatia and sincerely worries about the Buryat culture.

The orchestra of folk instruments named after Chingis Pavlov, ballet and vocalists of the Baikal Theater will also take part in the solo concert.

It was attended by the director of the Baikal Theater Dandar Badluev, People's Artist of the Republic of Belarus Sedeb Banchikova, soloists of the Butidey Dondog-Seren Theatre, Aldar Dashiev, teacher of the College of Arts Ayuna Dylgyrova, expert on folk national songs of the Buryats Roman Dambinov and editor of the Buryatia newspaper Alexander Makhachkeev.

According to Dandar Badluev, in general, for the preservation of the Buryat national culture, its revival is important.

In recent decades, there has been a "Sovietization" of cultural values, and in recent years there has also been an invasion of the Western way of life. Many young people do not know not only folk songs and dances, they even forget the language of their ancestors, Badluev noted.

The topic was continued by Alexander Makhachkeev:

It is the Buryat national songs that are our contribution to the world treasury of musical culture. This is our inexhaustible baggage, which we must preserve and develop in every possible way. In the global world, each nation is interesting for its originality.

Why this happens, Dandar Badluev explained:

It can be said that the environment in which the Buryat folk national songs would develop has disappeared. In order to pass all this on to the next generations, we are forced to artificially create a methodology for teaching ancient folk songs in order to advance to the world level. Folk songs should become our music brand.

Sedeb Banchikova believes that it will have to be developed from scratch, and at the same time professionally. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare and publish methodological manuals. It got to the point that students do not know folk songs, and there are actually a lot of them, but they are lost over the years.

Aldar Dashiev studied in Mongolia. According to him, “among our neighbors, folk songs are passed from mouth to mouth. Each teacher has his own way of performing songs. They study folk singing for a relatively long time, eight or nine years, although there is no limit to perfection, mastery can be honed all your life. At the same time, he noticed that the Mongols also do not have a single method for performing folk songs.

The representative of the Shenekhen Buryats, Butidei Dondog-Seren, says that it is important not only to be able to sing old songs correctly, but also to study the centuries-old history of the people, in what way the song came to us from time immemorial.

Our youth should learn the Buryat language on the basis of the ancient traditions and customs of their ancestors, the young singer noted.

Roman Dambinov also agreed with Dondog-Seren's statement: "Through the song comes the knowledge of the language."

According to Ayuna Dylgyrova, the problem is that everyone goes their own way - teachers, artists, scientists. To unite efforts, it is necessary to create an association. But for this, according to Dylgyrova, it is necessary that the state allocate financial resources for the implementation of ideas.

I propose to create an annual competition for the performance of ancient Buryat songs, with a good prize fund. And then, perhaps, through stimulation, young people will begin to study and perform old songs. They will pull at their grandmothers, - said Dandar Badluev. - We have a very good base - both theoretical and material. Folk ensembles from Ust-Orda and Aga can join the project, and there are also many caring people in Shenekhen. There is a teaching staff for training personnel, this is a music school and VSGAKI.

At the “round table” it was decided to organize and hold a competition for the performance of ancient Buryat songs, create a program for the preservation of the creative song heritage, digitize already published works and create a single electronic database, develop teaching aids for studying singing. Involve deputies, the Public Chamber of the Republic of Belarus, the All-Buryat Association for the Development of Culture in this matter.
