As we know, Cossacks also live abroad, and we are thinking that representatives of Cossacks who live outside our country, in far abroad countries, can also participate in our festival.”

    This year the festival "Cossack village Moscow", which will be attended by representatives from 33 regions of Russia, promises to be the most spectacular in the history of the event. The venues of the festival will open for visitors at 11.00. The grand opening of the event will take place at 14.00.

In Moscow, in Kolomenskoye, which has the status of a museum-reserve, the VII International Festival "Cossack village Moscow" was held with great success on Saturday, August 26. Nevertheless, the venue was not chosen by chance - back in the middle of the 17th century, the Cossacks served here to protect the sovereign Alexei Mikhailovich in his country residence.

Over the seven years of its existence, the festival has gained momentum, has become truly international - this year the Cossacks at their forum welcomed guests not only from Belarus, Ukraine and Semirechie, but also representatives of Poland and Germany.

In general, the festival has become a unique meeting place for Cossacks from all over our vast country, whose borders (as everyone knows) were expanded by the Cossack pike.

This well-organized event of all-Russian and international significance was attended by tens of thousands of people, despite the expected downpour, which fell like a wall on the festival field in the evening. Various actions were organized for residents and guests of the capital: tasting dishes of traditional Cossack cuisine, selling various products made by Cossacks and for Cossacks, performances by the most famous Cossack folklore groups and performers.

At the same time, within the framework of the festival, the next stage of the competition in felling with a saber "Kazarla" and the competition in horse riding took place.

The festival was opened with a prayer service by Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, chairman of the Synodal Committee for Cooperation with the Cossacks.

But still, one place in the shopping malls of the Stanichnaya Fair attracted the Cossacks and guests of the festival more than anyone else - it was the tent of the Cossack Compound Trading House. It was not even so much about the goods presented by the partners of the Trading House (saddles, horse harness, whips, home smokehouses and cheese dairies, new camouflage under the DMB brand), master classes, which were immediately held, but about the fact that tents under No. 1, generic Cossacks from various public organizations gathered: the Union of Cossacks of Russia, SKVRiZ, MCC, VBKV. They were bound by strong friendship through joint service in various regions of our country, near and far abroad: Transnistria, Chechnya, Crimea, Novorossia and ... a new "hot" spot - Syria.

Priest Mark Kravchenko, military priest of the Central Control Commission for the Conservation of Gods, blessed the activities of the Trading House "Cossack Compound" and noted the range of goods that are currently very relevant in the personal subsidiary farms of the Cossacks.

Of course, it cannot be said that the accordion was a serious competitor to the two stages of the festival (large and small), but after the official part of the festival, when the distinguished guests had already left, true lovers of the Cossack song (maybe not always decent) gathered here at the tent of the Trading House who sang heartily and even danced to the "Cossack lezginka".

The event ended after dark. This forum once again proved that the unity of the modern Cossacks is quite possible, and those artificial barriers erected by officials are not a serious obstacle to communication and true friendship. Traditional Cossack values will prevail over the foam that arose with the creation of the register, which did not give anything to simple, tribal Cossacks.

On September 15, 2018, the VIII International Festival "Cossack Village Moscow" will be held at the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve. This year, this great holiday will reopen its doors for all Muscovites and guests of the capital to acquaint them with the unique culture and traditions that the spirit of the Cossacks keeps in itself.

On the main stage of the festival amateur and professional creative groups will perform, including honored and people's artists of Russia. Guests of the festival will be able to plunge into the atmosphere of the Cossack holiday. The combined choir of the First Cossack University and the winner of the competitions of Cossack culture, the vocal ensemble "Cossack Village" will also perform on stage.

On the site of the festival, in the center of the built Cossack village, according to tradition, a camp temple will be installed, embodying the religious consciousness of the Cossacks.

Also on the territory of the festival will be presented the exposition of the First Cossack University "Ataman's House" (Cossack hut). The exposition will include a demonstration of Cossack cuisine, Cossack costume, Cossack crafts, fun and rituals, a presentation of the system of continuous Cossack education.

Within the framework of the festival, a parade of teams participating in the “Festival of Cossack Equestrian Art” will take place. The rite of seeing off a Cossack to the service of the guests will be shown by the Penza group of the Metelitsa equestrian club. There will also be exciting sports competitions in the following categories:

demonstration performances;

Overcoming obstacles;

Freestyle jigitovka;

Weapon possession.
