When upgrading from older versions to 1.4.0:
- Disable and delete the SMC.esp file from the Data folder in the game, if any.

Installation: (can be done manually or through mod managers)
1. In the archive, we take the F4SE and MCM folders and place them in the Data folder in the archive, confirm the merging of the folders.

All games that were created using the same engine, among other things, share common control tools. Including the game console. Fallout 4 is no exception. The game console in this game is almost completely identical to the console of its predecessors: Fallout 3, Skyrim, Oblivion, and even the almost forgotten, but no less masterpiece Morrowind. Even console commands have only minimal differences. However, there is nothing particularly surprising here, because all these games use the same Creative Engine, albeit different versions.
Perhaps that is why you came to this page. Turning on the console in Fallout 4 is not a complicated process at all. All you need to do is launch the game, wait for it to load, and press the "~" (aka "tilde") key, which is located in the upper left corner of the keyboard, just below the Esc key.
