Appendix 2 The main characteristics and requirements for the genre areas of the Festival "Relay of Arts" Guidelines for the City Festival of Children's and Youth Creativity "Relay of Arts 2017" VOCAL GENRE (academic vocals, pop vocals, jazz, songs with folk tunes in modern processing, rock -works, author's song) Academic vocals (or classical vocals) differ markedly from jazz or pop performance techniques. Today, classical vocals are performed in the genre of chamber vocal music, in opera, chapel, academic choir, with a symphony orchestra. However, some pop singers also work in an academic manner. Academic singing is such a manner of performance, which assumes that the singer has a large number of different skills, such as: correct breathing, correct sound extraction (singing on a support, use of resonators, singing dome, etc.), clear diction and articulation, correct intonation and the ability to switch between registers; artistry, emotionality and expressiveness of performance are also necessary. Distinctive features of academic vocals Academic vocals do not involve the use of a microphone or other amplifying equipment. The vocalist, thanks to complete control over his voice, is able to sound the hall without merging and without entering into confrontation with the orchestra. A competent academic vocalist is distinguished by the ability to sing in a wide vocal range and the ability to qualitatively reproduce the most complex material in the musical technical sense. At the same time, the slightest superfluous overtones are not allowed: tremolations, sips, wheezing and other sound defects. Academic vocal striving for an ideal singing style: the singer achieves a voluminous clear sound of the voice. A musician working in classical technique masters the widest palette of means of musical, vocal, artistic expression. The singer is able to reproduce both the most subtle and transparent tones, and produce extremely bright expressive compositions. At the same time, regardless of the range of feelings invested in the song, it turns out to be harmonious, beautiful and aesthetically perfect. Pop vocal is a special kind of modern vocal art, which combines many styles and directions, creates a rich palette of images. Pop singing is such a manner of performance, which involves, first of all, the singer's communication with the audience through the created song image, not only through the melody and text, but also through expressive movement, vivid emotionality, artistry. Pop vocals differ from academic vocals in a more open and more natural sound. However, singing skills, correct position and sound support are just as necessary in pop vocals as in academic ones. Jazz vocals, first of all, imply an ideal sense of rhythm and harmony, as well as the mobility of the voice and the ability to improvise. In jazz singing, it is necessary to feel the form of the work, to be able to present your understanding of the melodic theme,

modifying it, but without leaving the desired harmony. What is important is the sensitive partnership of musicians, the ability to improvise on the go. Author's song (bardic music) is a song genre, the distinctive features of which are the combination of the author of music, text and performer in one person, guitar accompaniment, the priority of the significance of the text over music. CHORAL GENRE (choirs and vocal-choir ensembles) A choir (choral group) is a singing group or musical ensemble consisting of singers. Types of choirs: vocal-choir ensemble from 12 to 20 participants; chamber choirs from 20 to participants; medium choirs from 40 to participants; large choirs from 70 to 120 participants; consolidated choirs up to 1000 participants gather for a while from different groups. Such compositions have the status of "happing performance" and do not belong to the performing arts proper, as they are more of a propaganda and educational trend. The choir differs from the vocal ensemble (vocal duet, trio, quartet, quintet, etc.) by the presence of at least two (according to P. G. Chesnokov, three) or more people performing the same part, i.e. 12 people . The choir is led by a conductor or choirmaster. The leader of the church choir is called the choir director. Types of choir groups Under the name type of choir is understood the characteristics of the performing group according to the constituent groups of singing voices. It is known that singing voices are divided into three groups - women's, men's and children's. Thus, a choir that unites the voices of one group is called homogeneous, and a choir that has combinations of female (or children's) and male voices or singing voices of all groups is called mixed. In performing practice, four types of choirs are common: women's, men's, children's, mixed. The minimum number of singers in one choral part is 3 people. From the point of view of the manner of singing, they distinguish: academic choirs singing in an academic manner. The academic style of singing is based on the principles and criteria of musical creativity and performance, developed by professional musical culture and the traditions of the centuries-old experience of opera and chamber genres; folk choirs singing in a folk manner. The genre features of Russian folk choirs are: reliance on the local or regional tradition of everyday folk singing; use of natural register sounding of voices; subvocal-polyphonic chant of the song as the basis of choral polyphony.

Choirs may have different status, such as professional, amateur (amateur), church and educational. Explanations for participants of the competitive audition: 1. Academic choirs (live sound, without microphones): it is not allowed to use phonograms as musical accompaniment. A choir can be considered a group with at least 20 members performing on stage. 2. Vocal and choral ensembles of the academic direction (live sound, without microphones): the use of phonograms as musical accompaniment is not allowed. The number of participants is from 12 to 19 inclusive. The performance of a choir or vocal-choir ensemble at competitive auditions can take place both with a conductor and without him (at the request of the head of the group). Vocal and choral groups perform up to 2 diverse works with musical accompaniment or a cappella (a work of sacred music, an arrangement of a folk song, a work of Russian or foreign classics, a work of Soviet, Russian or modern foreign composers). The uniform style of the costumes of the team is taken into account. 3. Vocal ensembles of the academic direction (live sound, without microphones). The number of participants is from 2 to 11 inclusive. The ensemble performs without a conductor. 4. Solo singing of the academic direction and small vocal forms (duets, trios, quartets): a minus phonogram is allowed as musical accompaniment and a microphone. The microphone is not used for piano voice or other acoustic instrument accompaniment. Soundtracks "karaoke" are not allowed. It is desirable to include in the performance program of choirs, vocal and choral ensembles, vocal ensembles and soloists a work of patriotic themes: about the Motherland, about Russia, about Moscow, about the native land, etc. Note: The appearance of the contestants must be neat and tidy. The presence of changeable shoes is obligatory for everyone (participants, accompanying persons, team leaders). Students in sportswear and shoes, in work and home clothes, in jeans are not allowed to the competitive audition. For the performance, the participants of the festival need to think over the stage costume in accordance with the artistic image of the concert number. Scene culture is a must! The jury has the right to stop listening to the competitive program of a participant who has violated the competitive requirements. The presence of a teacher responsible for participation in the festival from an educational organization at the qualifying round is mandatory!

FOLKLORE GENRE (folk singing, folklore ensembles) Folk art is usually called folklore. This is music, poetry, theater, dance, which were created by the people and are closely connected with traditions, religious beliefs, rituals, customs and history. Musical folklore is the creativity of the people, which is expressed in vocal, instrumental or vocal-instrumental form. According to the content, musical folklore is divided into epic, lyrics and drama. The main types of musical folklore are song, song improvisation, song without words, epic legend, epic, dance melodies, dance choruses, instrumental pieces and tunes. The most common type of vocal folk music is a folk song, a musical and poetic work, one of the oldest forms of musical and verbal creativity. In some ancient and partly modern types of folk music, it exists in unity with dance, playing, instrumental music, verbal and visual folklore. An essential feature of the folk song is a direct connection with everyday life and labor activity (labor songs accompanying various types of labor, burlak, mowing, weeding, reaping, threshing, etc.; ritual songs accompanying agricultural and family rituals and festivities, carols, carnivals, Kupala, wedding, funeral, game calendar, etc.). Dance folk songs are inseparable from various folk dances. Folk song is distinguished by a wealth of genres, different in origin, character and function in folk life. Conventionally, the following thematic groups can be distinguished: 1. Songs related to the calendar, calendar holidays and rituals (calling and meeting spring, "larks", early spring and summer Trinity round dances, songs of harvesting and haymaking, congratulations on the new year, carols and fortune-telling songs, carnival songs); 2. Songs related to various events in the personal and family life of people (for the birth of a child, baptismal, lullabies, children's game round dances, laudatory, wedding and recruiting, funeral lamentations and lamentations, memorial, spiritual poems); 3. Epic song genres (epics, tales, buffoons and fables, some spiritual poems, ballads, historical songs); 4. Lyrical songs (songs about happy and unrequited love, tragic; drawling songs, "suffering", urban songs and cants); 5. Songs of everyday life and holidays (soldiers' and student's, nautical and navigational; labor burlatsky, artel, peasant; festive viva, farcical, comic songs and ditties). Lyrical songs have received the greatest musical development in the folklore of all peoples, their diversity is due to the diversity of social groups that create and perform them (farmers, artisans, workers, students, etc.). Each social group of society has its own song lyrics.

INSTRUMENTAL GENRE (orchestras, ensembles, instrumental soloists, except for pianists) Types of orchestras: symphonic, wind, string, folk instruments, pop, jazz. Requirements for the composition of orchestras participating in competitive auditions: the number of illustrators in school orchestras should not exceed 20% of the number of members of the team; only one microphone per soloist is allowed; the use of a synthesizer or piano in the orchestra is permissible only as a missing orchestral voice. ETHNOCULTURE CONCERT NUMBERS (vocal and dance art in national costumes) Soloists, ensembles and groups of vocal, choral and dance genres performing in the ethno direction are invited to participate. The contestants perform a song or a national dance of any genre in the national language. Concert numbers are presented in national costumes (ethnographic costumes or stylized costumes, made by contemporaries in compliance with all traditional features and corresponding to the repertoire being performed). In the performance of the competitive material, it is desirable that the sound and dialect be close to the manner of singing and the dialect of the region whose songs are performed; in the dance numbers, the observance of the style features of the folk choreography of the region. ORIGINAL GENRE (circus art: magic tricks, pantomime, clowning, tightrope walking, eccentricity, acrobatics) The original genre is unlike any classical one in content. It contains numbers that demonstrate the capabilities of the human body. Most often, artists of the original genre perform in the circus or specialized shows. These are acrobats, magicians, clowns, jugglers, parodists, aerialists, animal trainers. They are able to cause joy, pleasure, admiration in people. The basis of circus art is considered to be a demonstration of the unusual (eccentric) and funny. DANCE GENRE (classical and modern choreography, folk and pop dance, ballroom and sports dance, art in sports, rhythmic gymnastics, cheerleading) Dance is one of the most beautiful art forms, in which the emotional and figurative content of music is embodied in the movement of the human body. This is the art of movement, the main characteristics of which are: rhythm (fast or slow repetition and variation of movements); drawing (a combination of movements in a composition); dynamics (range of movements); technique (degree of possession of the body and mastery of execution).

Types of dance Classical choreography (ballet) is a type of performing art. The main types of dance in ballet are classical and characteristic dance. Classical dance is the main expressive means of ballet, the hallmarks of which are the characteristic positions of the legs, arms, body and head, the exact adherence to the principles of eversion of the legs, the verticality of the body and the isolation of its various parts. Classical dance movements strive for geometric clarity. A characteristic dance is a kind of stage dance based on a folk dance (or everyday dance), which has been processed by a choreographer for a ballet performance. Modern choreography is a direction in dance that includes various dance styles and techniques of the 20th and 21st centuries. This is a synthesis of classical dance, elements of gymnastics, acrobatics, pantomime. Modern choreography is the author's choreography, in which there are no canonical mandatory movements and poses. Folk dance is the most common type of folk dance art, created by an ethnic group, conveying its national culture and temperament. Folk dance reflects ethnic features, choreographic language and plastic expressiveness of an ethnos or ethnic group, which are manifested in the character, coordination of movements, in the musical-rhythmic and metrical structure of the dance, the manner of its performance. Variety dance is a choreographic work intended for concert performance on the stage. Variety dance is characterized by external expressiveness and showiness, entertaining character, virtuosity. In form, pop dance is a dance miniature with a small number of performers. Ballroom dance is a kind of pair dance that has folk origins. They were performed at balls, which were held in rooms covered with parquet. Of the huge variety of both elite (historical and everyday) and folk dances, only pair dances fell into the ballroom group. Sports ballroom dance is a dance sport that combines two styles of sports dances: International Standard (European): slow waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, slow foxtrot, quickstep (fast foxtrot); International Latin American (Latino): samba, cha-cha-cha, rumba, paso doble, jive. VOCAL-INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE (VIA) A vocal-instrumental ensemble consists of 3 or more people, including several vocalists and multi-instrumentalists. VIA use the usual set of instruments for pop and rock bands: electric guitars, a drum set, various types of electronic keyboards, such as electric organs and synthesizers, sound reinforcement equipment. VIA's repertoire mainly consists of songs written by professional composers and poets, as well as songs written by members of the group; folk and folk

songs; disco, rock music and its directions, synth-pop, big beat and pop music, cover versions of songs of western bands (with lyrics in Russian). The appearance of VIA artists is typical concert clothing. Any pronounced fatal attributes, such as unusual hairstyles, tattoos, studded leather clothing, metal accessories, and so on, are definitely excluded. VARIOUS DIRECTIONS OF MODERN YOUTH CULTURE (hip-hop, rap, soul, R&B, beatbox, break dance, etc.) Hip-hop (English Hip-hop) is a musical genre. The term "hip-hop" is defined as a combination of two words hip (cheers) and hop (jump). Hip-hop has a large number of directions: from fairly “light” genres, such as pop rap, to aggressive hardcore rap, horrorcore. The content of the songs ranges from light and casual, reminiscent of the "good old days", to raising social issues. The origins of hip-hop lie in funk, which is the main "progenitor" of this trend. However, the development of hip-hop was also influenced by other genres of rhythm and blues, soul, jazz, and reggae. Very often the terms "hip-hop" and "rap" are used interchangeably, which is not correct. Rap is one of the main elements of hip-hop music style. Rap is a recitative performance of poems to rhythmic music, which can be used not only by hip-hop performers, but also by representatives of other genres of modern rhythm and blues, pop music, rapcore, nu metal, raggamuffin; at the same time, there are alternative hip-hop artists who do not use vocals in their recordings. Originating as a variation of the spoken word style, rap has become a real art with many facets. Modern rhythm and blues, or modern R&B R&B (eng. R "n" B) is a musical style, the origins of which come from the rhythm and blues of the 1940s, especially popular in the USA and Canada. Although the acronym R&B is associated with rhythm and blues music, the acronym is used to refer to a newer style of African American music that emerged after disco in the 1980s. Modern Arand-B combines elements of soul, funk, new jack swing, hip-hop and dance music. Some sources define the style of R&B as contemporary urban music. Soul (from the English Soul "soul") is a genre of popular music of African American origin that arose in the southern states of the United States in the 1950s on the basis of rhythm and blues. The characteristic emotionally-felt, ecstatic, sometimes exalted, "soulful" vocal style soul music took from the tradition of spiritual gospel and spiritual chants, as well as jazz vocal improvisation. In the 1960s, soul became the most popular form of Negro music. By this time, blues and rhythm and blues, having been largely borrowed and adapted by white rock and roll and blues rock artists, were already perceived as interracial genres, and African Americans began to identify themselves through soul music. Beatboxing or beatboxing is the art of creating melodies using the vocal apparatus and articulations with the organs of the mouth. At the same time, modern beatboxing technique

also includes many other areas. Most often, beatboxing is used as an accompaniment in hip-hop compositions. Beatboxing is considered the fifth element of hip-hop culture. Breakdance (Break-dance or b-boying) street dance, one of the currents of hip-hop culture and inside it is called “breaking” (breaking, English breaking) originated in the late 1960s (Africa, Bambaataa). Today, there are two main types of this dance: the lower extreme dancer performs mainly acrobatic and power tricks on the floor; upper breakdance is based on the plasticity of the body: these are fantastic movements of the body in space and fixes, which at first glance contradict all the laws of physics and gravity. The whole break dance came from New York from the south Bronx. The term "breakdancing" (Breakdancing) was created by music journalists for the convenience of perception by ordinary people, since in English the word breaking means different concepts and is related to different cultures. For the same reason (for clarity of identification) in the hip-hop environment itself, the term “B-boying” began to be used, which comes from the word B. Boy (break-boy). It is generally accepted that it was formed as a separate dance by 1973. ARTISTIC READING (or expressive reading) Artistic reading (or expressive reading) is a kind of art, the essence of which lies in the creative embodiment of a literary work in an effective sounding word. To embody a work in a word means to evoke in the imagination of the audience the life depicted by the author in all its fullness and diversity, to reveal the attitude of the artist to the depicted, to convey the features of the artistic form and style of the author. The ultimate goal of the reader, in accordance with his interpretation, is to reveal to the listeners the ideological and artistic essence of the work, expressively convey to the listener the content of the work, help them see, feel and evaluate the phenomena depicted in it as he sees, experiences and evaluates them he performer. Expressive reading has two sides: penetration into the meaning of the performed work, the transfer of performing penetration to the listeners. K.S. Stanislavsky taught: “Take a book, a pencil more often and mark what you read according to speech measures. Fill your ear, eye and hand with this. The marking of speech measures and reading on them are necessary because they make you analyze and delve into their essence. Without delving into it, you will not say the right phrase. The habit of speaking in beats will make your speech not only harmonious in form, understandable in transmission, but also deep in content, as it will make you constantly think about what you are saying, ”and also“ You cannot order a feeling, but you need to achieve it in other ways A psychological situation must appear that makes it possible for a person to have an emotional attitude to a certain range of phenomena, and this emerging emotional attitude will be experienced by him. Principles of working on the text (according to Stanislavsky): study of the text, maximum getting used to its ideological and artistic content; public orientation, the effectiveness of expressive reading; a good understanding of the "tasks" that should be put in front of the listener when reading the text.

Reading aloud is addressed to the listeners. For the perception of reading, it is necessary that the listeners understand what is being read to them. Understanding is due to the presence of certain knowledge, certain experience. The teacher must take into account the age and development of his students. To prepare for the competition of readers on the website of the GMC (the methodological recommendations “Expressive reading of a literary text. Speech technique” are posted by the authors: V. I.
