Chakras and nadis are energy centers and channels of the etheric body. Properties of chakras

Different spiritual traditions talk about different numbers of chakras, usually they number from 4 to 9 (sometimes more). The location and names of the chakras sometimes vary (for example, the Muladhara chakra in ancient sources is sometimes called “Svadhisthana” - “the abode of the self”). In classical yoga, it is generally accepted that we have 7 main chakras located along the spine from bottom to top: Muladhara, Svadhistana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddhi, Ajna and Sahasrara - in addition to a large number of minor ones. There are chakras located higher and lower along Sushumna (“demonic” or animal / “divine” chakras), and there are also auxiliary chakras: for example, located in the throat, in the palms of the hands, in the armpits, and so on.

Each yoga asana usually correlates with one chakra, which it “works” and activates. This material is based on this assumption (and only clairvoyants can say for sure!). The reader can try and check. Moreover, there are 3 levels of difficulty of asanas, from beginner to advanced.

The presence of 1 or 2 “Kshetrams” for each chakra - switching points, by acting on which can also switch on the chakra, does not clarify this issue. Often the work of an asana with a chakra is connected precisely with the impact on the Kshetram: for example, the Sahasrara chakra is easiest to activate with a headstand - Sirshasana, in which there is considerable pressure on the top of the head - the Kshetram of the “crown” chakra. But not necessarily: for example, the Ajna chakra is activated by all the balance chakras - with pressure on the forehead or back of the head - the Kshetramas of this chakra, of course, are not present.

So, from theory to practice!

Complex “7 chakras” for beginners (simple asanas):

  • Tadasana - “Mountain Pose”. Also do variations with raising your feet on your toes, and bending your arms and body to the sides (Tiriyaka Tadasana). Do not hurry.
  • Dolasana - “Pendulum Pose.” Performed slowly and carefully.
  • Advasana “Inverted Dead Body Pose” - “Savasana lying on the stomach.” Then do Trikonasana - “Triangle Pose”. You can alternate these two practices if you have time.
  • Ardha Ushtrasana - Half Camel Pose. After half the time allotted for the pose has expired, change the supporting hand through the upper position.
  • Hasta Uttanasana - “Stretch pose with arms extended upward.” This is the second pose of the Surya Namaskar complex. Perform statically, in approaches; rest between them in Padahastasana - “Head to feet pose” (Padahastasana “includes” Svadhisthana - the opposite pose of Vishuddhi). Then do Saral Dhanurasana - “Easy Bow Pose” (with your hips on the mat).
  • Eka Pada Pranamasana - “Salute on one leg” (nari Samasthiti). Alternate with Eka Padasana - the power “Stand on one leg” (also sometimes called Bakasana - “Stork Pose”).
  • Naman Pranamasana - “Praying Pose.” This is a lighter variation of the headstand.

Complex “7 chakras” for intermediate ones (asanas of medium difficulty):

  • Preparation for Hanumanasana or full Hanumanasana - “Monkey King Pose”. Either Brahmachari asana (“Ascetic Pose”); this second position requires a lot of strength and is preferred for men.
  • Marjari asana - “Cat pose”. Performed slowly, dynamically. Then, in a static state, Ashva Sanchalanasana is performed - “Horseman Pose” (it is familiar to us from Surya Namaskar)
  • Mayurasana - “Peacock Pose”. Then Makarasana - “Crocodile Pose” or Matsya Kridasana - “Pose of a fish jumping out of water”, or Vajrasana - “Lightning Pose”.
  • Samakonasana is a useful and rather labor-intensive pose that is demanding on the spine. Then do the full version of Gomukhasana (arms clasped behind your back and pressed against the Kshetram of Anahata on the posterior projection of the spine). Then repeat Marjari-asana several times (in dynamics) and complete the work with Anahata with Sarpasana pose - “Snake Pose”. Then you can lie down in Advasana for 1-2 minutes, restoring your breathing.
  • Ushtrasana - “Camel Pose”. The neck in this pose is relaxed, which allows you to activate Vishuddhi. Then do another Parvatasana - “Mountain Pose” (aka “Downward Facing Dog”).
  • Dhanurasana - “Bow Pose” (activates Ajna and Manipura). Then Padadhirasana - “Breathing Balance Pose” (sitting in Vajrasana with your palms under your armpits).
  • Sirshasana - “Headstand”.

Complex “7 chakras” for advanced complexity:

  • Bhadrasana - “Graceful\favorable pose.” Kukkutasana - “Rooster Pose” or Pada Angushthasana (“One Big Toe Stand Pose”). Then Murdhasana - “Pose of support on the crown of the head.”
  • Vyagrasana - “Waking Tiger Pose.” Performed dynamically. Then Yogamudrasana is done - “Psychic Union Pose” (static).
  • Shashankh-Bhujangasana is a labor-intensive vinyasa of two chakras, including Svadhisthana and Manipura (Bhujangasana - “Cobra Pose” includes only Svadhisthana, but Shashankasana - “Hare Pose” - both Svadhisthana and Manipura). Then do Chakrasana - “Wheel Pose”, and relax in a short Shavasana.
  • Supta Vajrasana - “Lying Lightning Pose.” A pose that requires increased flexibility. Activates Anahata, and in addition to it, also Svadhisthana and Sahasrara (!). Then do Lolasana (“Swinging Pose”), after this labor-intensive pose you can lie down for a short time in Shavasana.
  • Simhagarjanasana - “Roaring Lion Pose” (roaring is not necessary). Then Ardha Chandrasana - Crescent Moon Pose. Then Tolangulasana - “Libra Pose”.
  • Vrischikasana - Scorpio Pose. Short Shavasana. Then Padma Parvatasana - “Lotus Mountain Pose”.
  • Long Sirshasana - “Headstand”.

The complexes are performed on an empty stomach (2-3 hours after eating), and after completion you need to do Shavasana (relaxation on the back) for at least 10 minutes.

Shavasana itself activates the Ajna chakra, but it also harmonizes all 5 pranas - energy flows in the body - therefore it is always performed at the end of a yoga class.

When performing any exercises of these complexes, discomfort should be avoided.

You can find out about contraindications to each asana from yoga teachers or from reference literature (including see “Asana. Pranayama. Mudra. Bandha”, edited by S.S. Saraswati, any edition).

Alexey Sokolovsky is a teacher of classical Hatha yoga (“according to Satyananda”), who has been practicing yoga for more than 15 years. Leader of outdoor yoga seminars.

In a theoretical description, chakras represent a simple and convenient way to draw a visual, small-scale map. This term is one of the central ones in the spiritual tradition of Hinduism. It is believed that chakras are plexuses of energy channels in the subtle body, around which energy vortexes “spin”. But even if you are closer to a materialistic view of life, you can familiarize yourself with the theory of chakras as a kind of ladder of human evolution. It is believed that all our sensations are connected with the work of the chakras: clarity and strength of experiences, depth of perception, clarity of thinking, creativity, cheerfulness. In this article we will look at a peculiar hierarchy of personal development associated with the transition of consciousness from one chakra to another.

There are many chakras in the body, but only seven are indicated as the main ones in all teachings. It is believed that the colors of the chakras on a subtle level coincide with the colors of the rainbow from red - the first chakra, to violet - the seventh. To a certain extent, everyone feels their chakras. We are so accustomed to these sensations that we no longer pay attention to them and take them for granted. Chakras (energy centers) are experienced subjectively, because information in the channels of the subtle body and the depth of perception are individual.

The power of kundalini– this is the energy of all our past “karmas”, our life experiences. It is impossible to say specifically that kundalini is located in one place or another, but conditionally muladhara chakra It is generally considered to be its source - it is through this chakra that kundalini manifests itself. Rising higher, along the central energy channel (along the spine), kundalini overcomes three energy nodes in the subtle bodies, opens higher chakras, spreads and straightens energy channels, feeding with energy, and includes areas of perception previously inaccessible to our consciousness.

All sensations of our human reality are attributed to the activity of kundalini, and the revealed chakras interpreted as a manifestation of her infinite potential. In essence, how and what we perceive ourselves to be is the very power of kundalini, continuously manifesting and recreating itself through the energy centers.

There are special kundalini yoga practices for quickly awakening and raising this force so that it passes through each chakra, charges it with its current and reveals its full potential. However, these exercises are not safe and are not intended for self-learning. The effects of kundalini yoga without corresponding changes in consciousness do not last long. As one-pointedness deepens in , kundalini awakens spontaneously.

The concept of "chakra" came from the east from the Sanskrit language. The original names of the chakras are commonly used, which I will list below.

The chakras are located as follows - from bottom to top: muladhara (coccyx area, in women the back wall of the cervix), swadhisthana (genital organs), manipura (navel area), anahata (chest center), vishuddha (throat area), ajna (third eye, pituitary gland), sahasrara (top of the head).

Muladhara chakra is responsible for the manifestation of consciousness on the physical level, for survival, safety, food and shelter. It is believed that in muladhara there is a karmic “Brahma knot” associated with gross desires. The consciousness of highly developed animals, small children, and many adults who are delayed in their development is fixed on this chakra. One of the most striking examples of a person “on muladhara” is Sharikov, a character from Bulgakov’s book “The Heart of a Dog.”

In the esoteric environment, the concept of being “on the chakra” is widely used. To be on one chakra or another means to be influenced by its basic programs. In this case, being on muladhara means perceiving and evaluating the world through the prism of the energies of this chakra. In Muladhara, the environment and its objects are the means of survival. Blocks on this chakra are, as a rule, various animal fears.

Developed, or even open muladhara awakens energy kundalini, gives strong health and wonderful abilities (“siddhi” in yoga). The opening of this chakra begins with a feeling of boiling, seething energy and light tremors in the tailbone area. Experiences can be both pleasant and painful.

Svadhisthana chakra responsible for pleasure and “prosperity”. This is still a rough, infantile knowledge of the world. In our time, the overwhelming majority of humanity is in svadhisthana, which is why the topic of sex is so relevant everywhere. Sexual pleasure is the energy of svadhisthana. During sexual intercourse in the subtle body, all energy is drawn into the area of this chakra, and during orgasm it burns out. Therefore, the teachings recommend abstinence. To rise to a level above svadhisthana, it is necessary to conserve energy, then it begins to put pressure on blockages in the channels of the subtle body, which manifests itself as the familiar sexual arousal.

Having risen higher, this energy begins to more actively feed the higher chakras, sometimes, as they are cleansed, causing varieties of dull and aggravated mental pain, coupled with all sorts of pleasant experiences. The intensity of suffering is directly proportional to the internal resistance to the pressure of the kundalini force. Bliss and joy, on the contrary, are a consequence of the free, unhindered flow of life energy.

Blocks in svadhisthana manifest themselves as strong desires, lust and lust. It is believed that open svadhisthana bestows amazing charm and fulfillment of desires, from which there is no longer dependence.

Manipura chakra responsible for will, power, management and submission. This is connected with both the external and internal world. In Manipur there are big bosses, powerful and “strong” people.

Blocks on this chakra are all kinds of social fears, greed, self-doubt and weakness. Opened manipura gives special power - to influence things and events with one’s own will, to put the power of this energy into words and actions.

The three lower chakras are the levels of ordinary social people. The top four are considered spiritual.

Anahata chakra is responsible for love. It is believed that in anahata there is a node of Vishnu (Vishnu granthi), overcoming which, the experience appears unity of internal energies, connections between lower and upper centers.

Anahata love has nothing to do with attachment, jealousy, pity and possessiveness. If you get rid of these painful experiences, then there is often nothing left of ordinary “love” at all. Anahata's love is something deeper, almost maternal. It is from the Anahata chakra that real spiritual unfoldment begins. Anahata love is unconditional, it does not require anything, and is not directed at specific people. This is a self-sufficient blissful experience. Starting from this stage, the awareness of the well-known saying in Christianity comes - “God is love.” As we progress further, the awareness of the meaning of this saying does not so much change as deepen.

The transition to anahata is a breakthrough to a new pole of perception. Selfish aspirations for power and righteousness are replaced by humility and acceptance. There are already very few such people in the social environment; when they speak, sometimes it doesn’t even matter what, you just want to listen to the speech, imbued with this warm energy. .

Blocks on anahata are most often feelings of guilt, depression, emotional attachment and shame for what was done in the past on the rougher planes of existence. If the energy rises to this chakra, it sometimes takes years to survive the accumulated negative karma. But after this torment, consciousness is rewarded with relative freedom and ease.

Each open chakra gives a different kind of bliss, as a result of freely flowing energy. On anahata this experience is especially deep, although not as subtle as on higher centers.

Anahata Revealed awakens intuition and expands consciousness, because clinging to private narrow manifestations of the ego goes away. Perception becomes less “fixed”. Meditation flows easily and even spontaneously.

Vishuddha chakra is responsible for the creativity of life in its deepest aspects. If kundalini rises completely to the level of vishuddhi, it never goes lower again - it is a kind of flank. It is believed that complete opening of Vishuddhi relieves hunger, grants longevity, long-term awareness in dreams and other possibilities. Perception on Vishuddha can be multifaceted. If a person is brilliantly developed in the creative field, this does not at all mean that his consciousness is on Vishuddha. The level of this chakra is the consciousness of a real magician, the creator of his own reality. Consciousness at this chakra is even more expanded.

Blocks on Vishuddha manifest themselves as clinging to one’s own “I”, lack of flexibility, conservatism and mediocrity in speech, mind, behavior and other manifestations.

Ajna chakra is responsible for the energetic aspect of the perception of reality as a field of activity of boundless facets of various types of energies. It is believed that in the ajna chakra there is a Shiva node, which is responsible for the (pleasant/unpleasant) perception of reality.

At the level of this chakra, matter ceases to seem as solid and dense as it was at the level of the lower centers, and endless possibilities for one’s own realization open up. The subtle world is felt as more significant and even more “real” than the physical plane.

Complete opening of ajna eliminates the illusion of individual existence. Reality is felt as a huge space vibrating with energies. A thin line appears deep wisdom, dependence on any fixed ideas disappears, the fact of the existence of unlimited absolute knowledge becomes obvious. The everyday division of knowledge into a stream of private thoughts is due to the inability to recognize and digest the level of information from higher centers. At this chakra, clairvoyance and omniscience appear, not limited by narrow concepts.

Blocks on ajna make themselves felt as various kinds of limitations of one’s own knowledge, distortion of incoming information with one’s own interpretations, clinging to ideas, teachings, dogmas, banal stupidity and inadequacy. Here we can again recall Castaneda’s term “” and its opposite – “non-doing”, the essence of which is fully manifested with the opening of the ajna chakra.

Understanding at the level of thoughts is an inevitably subjective (see article ““) and a purely individual process. Any objectivity, or, in this case, accuracy of understanding is always relative. In this sense, every person attached to the perception and manifestation of reality through the prism of thoughts is lonely.

Sahasrara chakra is responsible for consciousness and perception as such, for the manifestation of the level of pure existence. According to the texts, Sahasrara is a group of chakras, the main ones being the Guru Chakra and the Nirvana Chakra. Taken together, the level of sahasrara corresponds to the level of manifestation - the higher “I”. In Hinduism, it is believed that the god Shiva is the deity of the Sahasrara chakra, therefore, when kundalini reaches this center, it brings enlightenment into a person's life and all the qualities that arise from the union of kundalini with Shiva.

The names of the Lord are not that important for a real practitioner. Access to this center in itself already marks, the degree of implementation of which depends on the purity of the channels of this chakra. Complete and final enlightenment comes when kundalini completely reaches this center, removing all blockages in the channels. The subject then recognizes himself in his own absolute form of pure unconditioned being, in which boundless reality spontaneously occurs.

It becomes clear that this has always been the case, it’s just that the mind was not able to recognize such a subtle level of reality. The pure “I” is the absolute subject. If there is some sensation that is mistaken for “I”, then it is an illusion. The “I” perceives all sensations without being itself. With access to the higher “I”, the ego retreats, and the personality in the usual sense no longer exists, there is simply being, existence, in which this personality occurs in exactly the same way as all other life phenomena, among which it is not a more or less important part of what is happening. Importance and division come from an unenlightened mind that puts itself first. In fact, the mind does not have its own basis, but occurs against the background of the higher “I” along with other phenomena of reality.

Atman conventionally called an observer, a witness, although this cannot fully reflect his essence. Sometimes they talk about a kind of filled emptiness, indescribable because the mind operates only with what is perceived.

Blocks on Sahasrara reduce the level of clarity and attentiveness. In general, one’s own level of disclosure of sahasrara can be determined by the degree of awareness in a dream. It is believed that for a fully enlightened person, the “circle of day and night” closes, and he is always aware, even in dreamless sleep, at the level of the highest causal plane.

The chakras, provided they are clearly aware, are themselves suitable objects for meditation by the advanced practitioner. When there is a problem related to an experience in the area of a specific chakra, meditation on that chakra, or on the experience itself, is recommended. For example, meditation on Vishuddha, as already mentioned, gives expanded consciousness.

Concentration on ajna, in turn, gives transcendence of duality of concepts, clairvoyance and the experience of the bright white light flowing from the mid-eyebrow, or heart region, and in advanced stages the experience of the golden light flowing from the sahasrara.

When the Sahasrara opens, at a certain stage a vision of a bright golden ball may appear. The causal body is said to be experienced in this way. You can “enter” this ball by meditating on it. At the same time, a state of even deeper freedom and emptiness is experienced. This practice brings back memories of past lives.

Chakras are also conveniently viewed as a kind of pyramid of human evolution. During muladhara, a person’s desire to survive prevails. At Svadhisthana, he has already survived, as it were, and now he wants to live to his heart’s content, multiply, embellish and comfort his existence. In Manipura, a person, fed up with immaturity, begins to rebuild everything. Now he is interested in power and control, having played enough of which, he switches to anahata. At this chakra, a person learns to love everything that he previously tried to control. This is also pleasure, but more subtle, associated with an altruistic tendency to share one’s benefits with one’s neighbor and compassion. At an even more subtle level, a person creates Vishuddha chakras, truly admiring beauty in its most subtle and deep forms. The transition to the ajna chakra is marked by an even more subtle and deep perception of what is happening, as consisting of different levels of energy vibrations. And finally, the crown of evolution is the sahasrara chakra, which gives awareness of reality in its primordial and deepest aspect of existence as such.

P.S.
This article is classified as esoteric. This means that the theory presented here is difficult to test in practice. I advise you not to take such theories on faith, but to use them as hypotheses that can expand the horizon of knowledge.

IN yoga chakra kundalini- these are unique psychoenergetic centers that serve as a distributor of subtle energy within a person. There are seven of them in total, people with unusual abilities - clairvoyants, magicians, psychics, etc. Some see them in different ways, some as multi-colored vortices with different densities that make sounds, some as disks of certain colors, and others as flowers with a brightly defined center.

As we noted above, there are seven main chakras, and all of them are located in projection on the front and back of the body along the human spine. Each of these chakras is responsible for certain vital organs, with their psychosomatic functions at different levels of consciousness.

Ancient Indian healers believed that these same chakras are the unique keys to the physical and spiritual health of people, and they act on the principle of whirlpools; if you establish a constant and constant balance of these objects, then a person is guaranteed good health and well-being. Severely open or severely closed chakras can have an extremely negative impact on your health. It should also be noted that each of these objects moves at its own speed, so, for example, the root chakra rotates very slowly, and the crown chakra rotates very quickly. In addition, they all have their own specific color in accordance with the colors of the rainbow, which is distributed from bottom to top from red to purple; it is unlikely that when you were learning to draw, you thought about this interesting question. The size and brightness of the chakras are also different, they depend on the personal development of their owner, physical health, the presence of illnesses, stress, as well as the human energy level.

Kundalini yoga - working with chakras

Yoga kundalini 1 chakra"root". Muladhara

Its location is the main part of the spine, which is projected onto the tailbone at the back of the body and onto the pubic bone at the front. This object is responsible for the basic (basic) needs of people - health, safety, survival, comfort.

Bright red color is used to visualize Muladhara. The precious stones that symbolize it are garnet, agate, helion, ruby, tourmaline, and smoky quartz. When working with it, you can use essential oils of myrrh, clove, cedar, cypress and marjoram.

The patron deities of the root chakra are the goddess Dakini and Brahma, symbols are a dark red lotus with four petals and an elephant.

Kundalini yoga 2 chakra“own ground or sweetness” Svadhisthana.

It is located at the base of the spine in the area below the navel approximately five centimeters. Svadhishthana is responsible for intuition, self-esteem, creativity and love needs.

It corresponds, like , to a bright orange color, and is symbolized by such precious stones as tiger's eye, tourmaline, orange calcite, agate, carnelian and moonstone.

To work in the above zone, it is good to use essential oils of ylan-ylang, sandalwood and petitgrain.

This chakra is patronized by the goddess Rakini and Vishnu, and the sacred symbol is a six-petalled lotus flower.

Kundalini yoga chakra 3“brilliant jewel”, “precious hail”. Manipura.

She belongs to the area around the navel, manipura is nourished by the fire of the solar plexus, and is connected with the kidneys and adrenal glands. It is a kind of center of energy, responsible for willpower, a sense of control and coordination, and develops vision and imagination.

To work with this chakra, light golden color is used, as well as precious stones such as golden topaz, amber, agate, citrine, and tiger's eye.

As for essential oils, you should choose chamomile, thyme, lemon, and ylang-ylang oils.

This center is patronized by the goddess Lakini and the god Rudra. The symbol of the third chakra is the ram, which is characterized by irrepressible, unbridled energy. It should also be noted that Muladhara, Svadhishtana and Manipura together form the “lower triangle”, the latter is considered the most subtle, it acts as the force of movement and completion of all processes that occur in our lives.

Kundalini yoga chakra 4"unstressed". Anahata

This center is located in the area of the human heart, therefore it has another common name: hrid-padma, which means heart lotus.

Anahata is the very middle in the chakra system, it is located behind the chest, in the area of our heart, and its projection onto the spine falls on the area between the shoulder blades. This center is responsible for love, compassion and spirituality, that is, those abilities of people that allow them to love themselves, accept and give love to others.

Pink and green colors are used for work, as well as kunzite and rose quartz stones. As for essential oils, you should choose sage, bergamot, geranium, and rose among them.

The symbol of the center is the black antelope, which personifies speed; Isha and Kakini are the patron deities.

Kundalini yoga 5 chakra"throat". Vishuddha.

This center is located in the V-shaped cavity in the lower part of the neck between the collarbones, it is responsible for the communication of sounds, self-expression and creativity.

The main color of Vishuddha is light blue; lapis lazuli, aquamarine, turquoise and chalcedony stones are used in activations. Among the essential oils used are lavender, neroli, sandalwood, and sage.

The center is patronized by the bisexual god Ardhanarishvara, as well as the goddess Shaktini.

Kundalini yoga 6 chakra"third Eye". Ajna.

Ajna is located at the point between the eyebrows and corresponds to the pituitary gland. This center is called control, thanks to it a person has intuition

To work with this center, dark blue and purple colors, amethyst stones, blue sapphire, opal, sodalite are used, and its patron deities are Parama-Shiva and the goddess Khakini.

Kundalini yoga 7 chakra"crown of the head". Sahasrara.

The last seventh center is located right at the crown, it is responsible for spirituality, thinking, enlightenment, it is believed that it is inseparably linked with wisdom and gives people cosmic consciousness.

The colors used to work with Sahasrara are gold, white and pale purple. Stones: rock crystal, topaz, amethyst, alexandrite, opal, sapphire. Essential oils: frankincense wood, oak moss, frankincense.

Organs: kidneys, bladder, ovaries, uterus; prostate, testicles.
Svadhisthana is the second chakra. Included in the lower triangle. This is a strong energy center. Our desires come from this chakra, including sexual desire. She is responsible for the ability to receive pleasure in the material world, and accordingly in the body.

Svadhisthana directly affects sexual attractiveness. From which it follows that someone other than me appears in this story. If in the first chakra we interacted with the Earth, then interpersonal communication and pair relationships already arise. It is in the second chakra that division, polarity and duality appear - I am no longer alone in the world, there are others, I come into contact with other individuals. Communication takes on a high-quality color if I communicate from the second chakra - it contains emotions, feelings, seduction. And people are in constant communication, they do not leave each other. There are no personal boundaries.

Sex is for pleasure, and not for safety and procreation, as in the first chakra. Sexuality manifests itself through dissolving in each other, indulging one’s desires and inclinations. Here love is understood as “I will drown you in love” and “I will drown myself.”

The key concepts are creativity and pleasure.
“For me, feelings and emotions come first.”
"I love physical pleasure."
"I can be myself."
“I have freedom of choice and desire.”
“I declare my desires, I expand outward, into the world. I am worthy, I have the right.”
“I can express myself through creativity, art.”
“Often the inner child in me speaks, the primitive man (woman).”
"I like to dream".
“I have a very good idea of the material world and what I want to get; I'm included in life. But do I really need what I want, is it MY true desire, and not imposed by society, other people, fashion” - a person does not understand this. There is a fantasy about what is good for him. He simply imagines what is good. Here a person is a victim of circumstances, generally accepted laws. And in the end he discovers that the outside world brings either pleasure or pain.

The feeling of Svadhisthana is taste. There is an expression - “taste of life”. Those. it is the ability to experience the world. And a person begins to look for variety. A large number of passions and desires appear here, but they are fulfilled only if external circumstances are favorable, because... a person does not have an internal core, a vector of movement. A person is unable to achieve a goal. I want to enjoy the outside world in a passive mode, waiting for everything to come to me on its own.

Developed Svadhisthana brings the qualities of water - inventiveness, flexibility, smoothness, ductility, fluidity - qualities that allow it to take the proposed form. This is a very big power. People of water cannot be defeated, they will remain their own, they will flow around sharp corners and remain in place.

The symbol of Svadhisthana is a sea monster. It can suddenly emerge from the depths of the sea - uncontrollable feelings and emotions - and sink our boat - our mind. It follows from this that no matter what wonderful ideas come to us, if we are led by our emotions and passions, then nothing good will come of it. It is not stated that one should not have the ability to feel. But the task of feelings is to interact with thoughts and color them with emotions for vivid, deep experiences.

Balanced Svadhisthana is a spontaneous, joyful, cheerful, happy, uncomplicated, relaxed person, a holiday person. He loves, respects, accepts himself as he is, accepts his sexuality. And therefore he is accepted and loved by the opposite sex. They say about such people - he has charisma, some kind of magnetic attractiveness. He is socially oriented - it is easy to communicate with him, he easily comes into contact with other people.
A passionate person, he knows how to get pleasure, he has a lot of vitality, he loves life.
He knows how to share the views of other people, can put himself in their place, respects and does not judge them. Can be sensitive and empathetic. Able to share energy with others, because he has a passion for contact expressed through sexuality.
A person knows when to stop and knows when to stop.

Unbalanced chakra - there is a very clear division into good and evil, bad - good, black - white; constant preoccupation with something, anxiety, lack of rest; inability to make a choice; sadness, sadness; loneliness; shame, and hence aggression towards the opposite sex; vindictiveness, ruthlessness; jealousy.
If Svadhisthana does not function correctly, then life seems faceless, colorless, and lacks passion. Movement, stimulus, joy disappear. The emergence of dependencies and attachments. At the physical level, movement becomes stiff.

If there is an excess of energy: neuroses, excesses and perversions in the sexual sphere. The sense of proportion disappears - a person allows himself to be excessive in everything and knows no boundaries.
States of fixation on sex may arise, everything around will seem sexy, hence the generation of many unstable sexual relationships, which as a result will not bring satisfaction.
An example of an excess of energy in the second chakra is that a person can have fun for days and not get tired of it; have sex for a very long time and not get enough.

If there is a lack of energy:
Beliefs – “there is something wrong with me”, “I deserve to be rejected.”
Behavior - passionately desires something, but rejects connections with others, does not make contact, because he is afraid of people.
Inside there lives a tough controller who constantly scolds himself and limits himself.
Suppression of emotions.
A person does not allow himself to receive any pleasures from life. In sex, you only care about the other person, but don’t pay attention to yourself. Therefore, there is no energy exchange. Not being able to live YOUR OWN life.
Tendency towards mysticism.
Obsessions.
Weak or complete absence of sexual desire, in extreme cases - impotence, frigidity (often due to feelings of guilt and shame on sexual grounds), infertility. If a woman does not allow herself to have sex, then polycystic disease, cysts and other problems with the ovaries may occur.

FIFTH
The chakra, the cervical center, is located at the base of the neck. It governs the neck, throat and vocal cords. When this chakra awakens, we discover qualities of deep peace and a sense of expanded consciousness.

We speak of the SIXTH chakra as having two “poles”. One pole is located at the point between the eyebrows, in the spiritual eye. This place
enlightenment, intuition, joy, etc.

The other pole is located in the medulla oblongata, at the base of the brain. It regulates breathing and is the primary entry point of prana (life force) into the body. This is also the location of the personality, the little self, and therefore this pole is associated with the quality of giving oneself

In fact, each chakra has two poles, like a magnet. But the poles of the sixth chakra are so distinct that we can think of them as two different chakras.

The SEVENTH chakra, or crown chakra, is located at the top of the head. This is the place of union with the Divine, the fusion of the small self with the higher self, the ultimate goal of all spiritual quest.

Taught that to achieve this goal,
we must first gather all our life force into the spiritual eye, so all further recommendations for opening the chakras will focus on increasing magnetism at the point between the eyebrows.

Each chakra works with a specific vibration of energy, a vibration that can be expressed either positively or negatively. “Positive” and “negative” should not be understood as “good” and “bad,” but as the positive and negative poles of a magnet. The difference is simply a matter of focus.

Positive direction helps us realize our true nature as children of God. The negative direction takes us away from this, forcing us to become more and more identified with the things of this world.”

Audio from a video about chakras with a small addition:

Each of the chakras has an emotional and psychological component, and each of the chakras is also associated with a certain element.

More information about the properties of chakras can be obtained from this table:

All areas of yoga, starting with the present, all true spiritual paths, in one way or another, work to activate the positive qualities of the chakras and redirect the energy flowing from them inward and upward.
In the modern Western world, many people practicing yoga, especially in the directions of Kundalini Yoga and Kriya Yoga, practice many mechanical physical and breathing exercises with the aim of opening the chakras and raising kundalini.

As the great Yogi Vivikananda said:

“Do yoga in any case, even if you die on this path, then this desire will allow you to be born again in good conditions for practice and you will continue more wisely.”

However, in order not to take a long pause during the painful years of consciousness growth in infancy, it is better to do everything right right away.

And the correct approach is the most careful approach to working with chakras.

The etheric-astral body, chakras and kundalini are a register in a computer. A child may hit the keys and the computer will freeze, but by restarting it, we can continue working on it. The physical body can tolerate drinking, partying and harmful foods, it will just live 70 years instead of 150, but if you carelessly replace 0 with 1 in the registry, the computer may not restart. In the world of yoga, enough people have damaged their physical bodies with incorrect hatha yoga, but what is much worse: in the world of yoga and esotericism there are enough people who have encountered more problems, some ended up in a madhouse, others left the body prematurely.

The best guarantee of safety on the spiritual path is the one with which a person tries to strengthen his attunement. This must be an already realized Master in whom you, as a student, have confidence.

Without the above conditions, I do not recommend using techniques to cleanse and open the chakras, even if it is ten times fashionable and all modern “yogis” do it.

For those who have a true aspiration for God and devotion to the guru, any special techniques for opening the chakras may not be necessary, and concentration on God, on the guru is the most powerful yoga technique for cleansing the chakras, activating them and raising kundalini.

No matter what stage of your spiritual path you are at, you will always need something that is as clear as possible, as deep and powerful as possible, attractive. It is precisely these components of success that need to be given as much attention as possible.

It is better to focus on the work, it may look longer, but it will provide much more reliable and safe guarantees for the opening and cleansing of the chakras.

Be wise, my dear reader, and see you in the reality of yoga.

A very good meditation that better explains the topic of chakras:

And he also talks very interestingly about chakras and the properties of chakras in this video:
