How it was in 2013

One of the largest Russian jazz festivals Usadba Jazz in Arkhangelskoye annually opens a musical procession in several cities of our country - in 2016, the Rosa Khutor location joined the list, where the eponymous vocal and instrumental competition was held. In one of his nominations, the Moscow one, performing in the genre of absolute soul, became the winner.

Every year the audience of the festival expands, and 2017 will be no exception. The organizers are preparing an extensive musical and entertainment program with the participation of permanent residents of the open air and new special guests. For more than 10 years of existence, Jazz Manor has hosted more than 600 artists on its stage: world jazz stars, including Branford Marsalis, Jozef Lateef, Richard Galliano, Matthew Herbert, Zap Mama, Maceo Parker.

And the schedule of festivals in 4 cities.

"Usadba Jazz" in Arkhangelsk, as in other cities, combines musical genres of different directions: modern jazz, ethno-jazz, electronic music, soul, funk, pop jazz, smooth jazz, rock music, fusion. This approach to the preparation of the festival program ensures the greatest interest of a wide audience in open air and the presentation of the multi-format nature of modern music.

In 2017 Usadba Jazz will be held under the sign of ECO. The open sale will showcase design work made from natural materials, and the food court will serve food made from wholesome and healthy ingredients. The same mood will be sustained and music, which, as you know, best of all helps to cope with negative energy and be filled with positive emotions.

A special expanded zone will work for children, where a concert stage will be set up for the winners of the accepted competition for young talented performers. Young listeners under 10 years old can visit the festival for free - the organizers actively advocate cultural education from an early age. The entertainment program this year will also not make you bored: the guests of the festival are waiting for games and quests, sports competitions and art objects.

manor Jazz– again in Yekaterinburg! The 5th anniversary international festival will be held in the capital of the Urals on July 15. The meeting place is the same - the estate of the Kharitonov-Rastorguevs.

Since 2013, when the Usadba Jazz festival was first held in Yekaterinburg, it has become one of the favorite and long-awaited cultural events among the citizens and has presented many bright and talented musicians: the first Russian performance of the Brazilian world-music diva took place here Ellen Oleria, German acid jazz concert Jazzamor and New York drummer Chris Dave, major Russian indie bands Pompeya And Tesla boy. This year, Yekaterinburg residents will once again have a lot of musical discoveries and memorable concerts.

One of the most charming pop singers of the country will become a participant of the festival Barbara Vizbor. The country recognized this name after the performance of the song "And the winter will be big" on the program "Voice" by the singer's grandfather, the legendary bard Yuri Vizbor. And although the jury did not appreciate her magnificent voice, the audience remembered Vizbor. The range of her musical preferences is extremely wide: these are bossa nova, urban r "n" b and disco. All this is united by love for the classics of the Soviet song, and the impeccable taste that is felt in any song performed by her. At the concert as part of the Usadba Jazz festival, she will also perform several completely new songs from the disc that has not yet been released. She will be accompanied by great musicians known for many jazz and rock bands: pianist Dmitry Ilugdin, drummer Petr Ivshin, guitarist Alexander Rodovsky, bassist Viktor Shestak and flutist Alexander Bruni.

One of the most popular Georgian bands in Russia will also perform at Usadba Jazz Mgzavrebi. The band, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, captivated the local audience with its life-affirming music, which combines folk-rock, folklore motifs and male polyphony. Over the past five years, they have traveled the length and breadth of the country with club gigs and performances at major festivals. In our nervous and aggressive time, which is especially noticeable in large metropolitan areas, their music warms and illuminates everything around with soft sunlight. As Oleg Nesterov, the leader of the Megapolis group and the founder of the Snegiri label, said about them: "When these seven young Georgian men begin to sing their amazing songs, it leads to a state of euphoria, and there is no longer any chance to remain indifferent."

Separately, it is worth noting a whole landing of wonderful musicians from St. Petersburg. Amy Pieters- perhaps the only Russian singer who manages to perform soul, hip-hop and jazz with unearthly sunny lightness. Perhaps the whole thing is in South African roots, but the main reason lies in her amazing love of life. In the capital of the Urals, she will perform with Andrei Kondakov Electric Project- fusion group of one of the most energetic and famous St. Petersburg pianists and jazz composers Andrey Kondakov.

One of the most talented jazz singers of this country will come to us from Colombia with her trio Gina Savino. On her account - studying at the jazz department of Universität der Kunste (UDK) in Berlin, winning the national jazz vocal competition in Colombia (2009), concerts throughout Europe, as well as in the States and Japan. The main language is improvisation, which she teaches in masterclasses around the world. Of course, the traditions of Latin American music are woven into improvisation. But in the singer's discography you can find hip-hop records, and records for children, and jazz records - a gentle voice and restrained presentation are suitable for a variety of genres.

As always, a jazz market with a variety of decorations and souvenirs and a food court are waiting for festival visitors. This year the festival pays special attention to ecology, which will affect, among other things, the food court and the market. Do not leave children at home: we have prepared for them a lot of entertainment for every taste, and children under 10 years old traditionally go to the festival for free. See you at Usadba Jazz!
