Salmon steaks with potatoes in the oven. The most tender salmon on potatoes

Salmon is a tender and fatty fish, so it does not require the use of oil or mayonnaise in cooking. Cooking time is also minimal. Last weekend I fed my family according to Yulia Vysotskaya’s recipe, and today they asked for fish, salmon baked with potatoes. Look at the photo recipe, maybe it will help you make your Sunday dinner delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 300 gr. fresh salmon
  • Potato
  • Salt pepper
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil-3 tbsp
  • Mayonnaise-3 tbsp.

Bake salmon with potatoes

Peel the potatoes, cut into round pieces and cook until half cooked or, as my mother says, “poach”. The fact is that salmon cooks very quickly, but potatoes need time to become soft.

Place the potato slices in a colander to remove excess moisture.

Cut the salmon into portions. What they will be is up to you to decide, depending on the availability of fish and the number of planned servings.

Cut the onion into half rings. If you like crispy onions, you can put them fresh on the fish. But it’s better to pour boiling water over the onion so that it becomes softer and “melts in your mouth” after baking.

Place prepared potatoes on a baking sheet, top with pieces of fish, onion, salt and pepper. Pour mayonnaise over potatoes for juiciness.

Place the dish in the oven for 30 minutes.

Salmon baked with potatoes is ready! Bon appetit!

You can bake any kind of food this way. But pink salmon and chum salmon are generously coated with mayonnaise for juiciness.

It is especially recommended for expectant mothers to eat salmon, as it contains substances that help improve vision, brain function and reduce the symptoms of psoriasis. It also contains a lot of vitamin D, which reduces the amount of cholesterol in the blood, and vitamin B promotes better protein absorption. Thanks to frequent consumption of salmon, you can strengthen your immune system, blood circulation, and improve the functioning of your nervous system and brain. Omega-3 in salmon is very important in the treatment of atherosclerosis, arthritis, nervous system and asthma.

Option 3: Salmon with potatoes and lemon

Ready salmon has a slightly sweetish, delicate taste; you can choose any vegetables, both fresh and pickled, as a side dish. When buying it in a store, it is better to take a whole specimen, since often fillets can be made from fish that they could not sell. It is best prepared by baking it in foil or cooking parchment paper. The finished dish can be stored in the refrigerator for no longer than one week. In this recipe, salmon can be replaced with trout, coho salmon, pink salmon, sockeye salmon or chum salmon.

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 4 sprigs of basil;
  • 6-8 potatoes;
  • parchment paper.

Step by step recipe

Preheat the oven to 200 Cº, prepare four pieces with parchment paper, they should be of such a size that they completely cover the piece of salmon.

Cut the potatoes, sprinkle with spices, place on a baking sheet, bake for forty minutes.

Cut the lemon into rings.

Place the fillet, skin side down, on parchment paper, sprinkle with spices and salt, and brush with olive oil.

Place several lemon slices on each piece of fish.

Roll the paper into a ball and secure the edges with thread.

Place the fish on a baking sheet, pushing the potatoes to one side, and cook for twenty-five minutes until done.

There are some simple tips on how to choose good salmon. Of course, wild fish are healthier than artificially grown fish, since they are often stuffed with antibiotics and special feeds that accelerate growth. You should only buy fresh fish, but not strong-smelling fish. You can determine freshness by the color of the carcass: the back should be iridescent black, and the sides and belly should be bright silver. If the salmon is all black or with spots, then most likely it was caught during spawning; the meat of such fish is tasteless and does not have any beneficial properties.

Option 4: Salmon with potatoes in soy marinade

Many people love salmon for its exquisite taste; to make it richer, you can prepare it with soy marinade. Salmon contains a lot of useful vitamin B6, it also has a good effect on memory, liver, digestion and normalization of blood pressure, and if eaten systematically, it will be an excellent prevention of cancer.

Ingredients:

4 salmon fillets;

2 teaspoons sugar;

1/3 cup soy sauce;

3 cloves of garlic;

1 teaspoon olive oil;

1 teaspoon lemon juice.

How to cook

Prepare the marinade: combine soy sauce, sugar, water and chopped garlic.

Place the marinade on the fillets and leave overnight or at least for one hour.

Preheat the oven to 220 Cº.

Place the salmon on a baking sheet, pour over the marinade, bake for twenty minutes at 220 Cº.

There are several important nuances that should be taken into account when preparing salmon, thanks to which it will turn out tasty, juicy and aromatic:

1. fillet must be marinated before baking;
2. The marinade is prepared from lemon juice, spices (rosemary, cilantro, ground black pepper) and olive oil; it is important not to use too many seasonings so that they do not overwhelm the taste and aroma of the fish;
3. You need to marinate the fish for no longer than twenty minutes, otherwise the lemon juice will destroy the protein in its cells and it will begin to disintegrate;
4. If you cook without foil, then the surface of the baking sheet must be greased with oil.

Option 5: Salmon with potatoes in sour cream sauce

Salmon with potatoes baked in sour cream sauce turns out very tasty and juicy. The recipe is simple and not troublesome, it will not take much effort or time, and the list of ingredients is short. Anyone can cope with the preparation of such fish. The quantity of potatoes must be determined individually; you can cut them as you like: into slices, mugs or cubes.

Ingredients:

  • 1.2 kg salmon;
  • 1.2 kg potatoes;
  • 1 onion;
  • 200 grams of sour cream;
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of olive oil;
  • 1 egg;
  • 350 grams of hard cheese;
  • spices to taste.

Cut the potatoes into slices or circles, mix with spices, olive oil and salt, bake in the oven for twenty minutes at 180 Cº.

Chop the onion into rings and place on top of the potatoes.

Cut the salmon fillet into slices no thicker than two centimeters each, add salt and place on the onion.

Beat sour cream, chopped garlic and eggs.

Pour the resulting sauce over the fish and potatoes.

Cook for half an hour at 220Cº.

Grate the cheese, sprinkle the dish with it, and cook for another ten minutes.

With all the positive qualities of salmon, do not forget that there is a small probability of individual intolerance. Also, for those who suffer from urolithiasis, ulcers or tuberculosis, it is better to reduce the frequency of its use. In addition, you should not buy fish whose origin is in doubt, since very often the fry are raised on modified feed and antibiotics.
