The donkey walked along the path,

And a burr clung to the back.

And this donkey asked his mother:

Mom, mom, tell me, is it possible for me too

It will be necessary to carry luggage

And, rattling bells roll along the beach

The ones who only wear a tan on their backs?

What are you, dear! - answered mother-donkey.

You go to school first.

And then you will find such meadows,

Where no one has set foot before

And drown in dew from ears to horseshoes

Among daisies, and clover, and cornflowers...

And only the sun and the full moon will be allowed

To touch your precious back.

All mothers are the same

All mothers are the same

Even moms in donkey skin!

Who have long ears

And such kind souls...
