Accident

The group "Accident" was founded by students of Moscow State University Alexei Kortnev and Valdis Pelsh in 1983: the musicians met during auditions for the Student Theater of Moscow State University. Soon they were joined by saxophonist Pavel Mordyukov and drummer Vadim Sorokin.

The first popularity of "Accident" gained as part of the Moscow State University Student Theater: the fame of the musicals "Off-Season" and "Cabaret" Blue Nights of the Cheka "has spread far beyond the student get-togethers. "Blue Nights of the Cheka" traveled almost half the world; in addition, "Accident" played in KVN for the Moscow State University team and starred in the "Oba-na" program.

When the premises of the Student Theater were given to the church, the "Accident" had to survive on its own. The group already had its own audience and several well-known hits in narrow circles, but it released its first album only in 1994. Work on the disc "Trody Pludov" took five years. In the late 80s, Sergei Chekryzhov appeared in the group, who was first forced to play the accordion at concerts, and then he became a keyboard player (and a sought-after film composer). The name of the debut disc emphasized the intellectual wit of the work of "NS", and the track list included such "greatest hits" as "It's snowing", "Radio", "A corner of the sky", etc.

For the second album "Mein Lieber Tanz" (1995), "Accident" came up with a more complex concept of a radio concert with announcer preambles. "Own" viewers again took the experiment enthusiastically, and in the group appeared new guitarist Dmitry Chuvelev.

In 1996, the group re-released songs from the old performance on the disc "Off-season". IN next year the composition lost Valdis Pelsh, who could not constantly work in the group due to employment on television. The "Accident" periodically had various short-lived television projects, and the musicians treated their closure with humor. Valdis, on the other hand, was set up for a career as a TV star, and he took the offer to host “Guess the Melody” on Channel One as a gift of fate. Subsequently, he led several more programs and to this day remains on the staff of Channel One. Pelsh does not take part in the regular concert activity of "Accident", but joins the group at anniversary concerts, playing the role of Kortnev's co-host and, one might say, MC.

In 1997, Pavel Mordyukov and bassist Andrey Guvakov created the Delicatessen company, positioning itself as their own label for "Accident". The main and only success of the label was the release of the album “This is Love”, which contained the perky rock and roll “What did you have”, which moved the group from the rank of “elitist” closer to the ordinary viewer. Nevertheless, "Accident" did not slip into pop music, although the song even received the "Golden Gramophone". All members of the group combined concert work with some other "businesses" - someone worked in advertising, someone wrote music for it, and Alexei Kortnev acted in films and wrote Russian librettos for musicals.

In 1999, Roman Mamaev replaced Guvakov on bass. The group released the album "Prunes and Dried Apricots", and then took an active part in the preparation of the play "Quartet I" "Radio Day". For the production, Alexei Kortnev wrote a dozen songs stylized as different styles: “My first teacher” - yard pop, “Night stall” - chanson, “Snowflake” - bard song. In 2002 they were released as a separate album. The permanent audience of the NS favorably met this game in parody, and someone took the stylization at face value: Kortnev said that he performed Night Stall at some sports award, and the audience listened carefully and almost shed a tear.

In 2003, "Accident" worked on the play "Election Day" on the same principle and released the chicly published album "Last Days in Paradise", finally transferring the title play to film - its crown theatrical concert number. When transferred to audio format, some of the charm was inevitably lost.

In 2004, the group celebrated its 21st anniversary with a big concert show Zirkus at the Rossiya State Central Concert Hall. The songs of "Accident" together with Alexei Kortnev were performed by Maxim Leonidov, Andrei Makarevich, Dmitry Pevtsov and others. The recording of the program was later released on DVD.

In 2006, the album "Simple Numbers" was released, a year later - the collection "Election Day", and in 2008 - the collection best songs“The best is the enemy of the good” (it is noteworthy that earlier the “best” with this name was released by the group “Cockroaches!”).

Since 2010, a new drummer Pavel Timofeev has joined the group. The album "Tunnel at the End of the World" has been posted on the Internet. "Accident" tried out the "Download and pay what you want" scheme for the first time and was very satisfied. According to Alexei Kortnev, none of the labels with which the group collaborated paid the musicians as much as the fans on the network. Interestingly, the payments were first sent to the phone of the director of the National Assembly, and soon the state of his account became such that he could talk non-stop until retirement. Among the songs of "The Tunnel at the End of the World" was an essay on morals modern Russia"Sasha walked along the highway", which was shot a memorable video. With the same composition in December 2011, Alexei Kortnev spoke at a rally on Sakharov Avenue.

Now Alexei Kortnev is writing songs for the new play "Quartet I", and the group is preparing to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Festivities are scheduled for 2013. "Accident" is preparing a program "Songs just in case" and, possibly, an album of the same name.

The "Accident" team as a separate musical unit was formed in 1983 by Moscow State University students Alexei Kortnev and Valdis Pelsh. Soon they were joined by saxophonist Pavel Mordyukov and pianist Sergei Chekryzhov and drummer Vadim Sorokin, who also studied at Moscow University.

In the period from 1987 to 1990, at the Student Theater of Moscow State University, the National Assembly wrote and staged his first musical performances- "Off-season" and "Garden of Idiots", and took an active part in the theatrical cabaret "Blue Nights of the Cheka". With "Blue Nights" and "Garden" the musicians of the National Assembly and the troupe of the Theater traveled around a third of the world. Including went on tour in Czechoslovakia (5 times), Finland (2 times), Germany (3 times), Great Britain (3 times), Spain, in sixteen (out of fifty possible) states of America myriad Soviet cities.

By this time, the team included three more members - bassist Andrey Guvakov and guitarist Dmitry Chuvelev. The first drummer in the history of the National Assembly, Vadik Sorokin, became interested in solo projects and was replaced by Dmitry Morozov, who had previously worked as an illuminator at the Student Theater.

The "Accident" team, together with actors Mikhail Shirvindt and Igor Zolotovitsky, is at the origins of the non-political social movement "March of the Sexual Majority". Also in our luggage are large-scale actions "Money is garbage!" and "The Clowns Have Arrived" (quiet entertainment).

In 1997, due to ever-increasing employment, Valdis Pelsh, the favorite of millions, went on academic leave. In the same year, Andrey Guvakov and Pavel Mordyukov created their own NS label called "Delicatessen".

In the summer of 1998, instead of Dmitry Morozov, who fell ill, Pavel Cheremisin took over the drums of the National Assembly.

In the fall of 1998, the "Accident" team celebrated its 15th anniversary. The official celebration ceremony was held in the Palace of Culture of Moscow State University. The number of people in the hall and beyond indicated two things - firstly, the dimensions of the hall were clearly not designed for such a mass of fans, and secondly, these 15 years were not in vain!

In the middle of 1999, they finally completed the construction of their own studio, which is called the Composer's House. The sixth album of the National Assembly "Prunes and Dried Apricots" was recorded in it. By this time, the seventh musician appeared in the team - sound engineer Pavel Gonin moved to percussion.

In the spring of 2001, bassist Andrey Guvakov Once again went to work in America, and Roman Mamaev took over the bass guitar of the National Assembly. According to many, the mysterious fair-haired Andryusha Guvakov, adored by everyone, is sorely lacking on the stage, but the acting has definitely become better. We must pay tribute to the new bass player - he worthily passed through the series of concert performances, during which the audience, who did not immediately understand everything, whipped him with cries like "Bring Guva back!"

Interestingly, building on the success of Radio Day, the theater launched the play Election Day, the success of which, in turn, prompted a film adaptation. The film "Radio Day" closed the tetralogy.

Release years:

"Radio day"

When working on the music for the play “Radio Day”, Alexei Kortnev set himself the task of writing parodies of musical genres all directions - from hard rock to thieves' romance. Parody musical numbers fictitious musical “groups” perform in the performance, although all the compositions are performed, of course, by the group itself in make-up, costumes, etc. corresponding to the style of the song. It should be noted that if the group itself performs in the “regular” performances of Radio Day, then the jubilee performance, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the production, was, in fact, a tribute to the group - the songs of "Accident" were performed by other groups and artists.

In the film “Radio Day”, completely different songs of other performers and groups sound (all under their real names). The only song "Accident" present in both the play and the film is "Radio".

"Election Day"

In Election Day, The Accident used the same technique as in Radio Day: musical parodies allegedly performed by a variety of "groups" of various styles; of course, really musical accompaniment also performs "Accident" in the appropriate entourage.

In the Election Day movie, only other artists perform the band's music (under fictitious parody names). The songs mostly coincide with the compositions from the play; the parodic names of the fictitious "groups" coincide, for the most part. However, as in the case of Radio Day, the soundtracks in the play-film pair are completely independent albums.

In Election Day, Alexei Kortnev plays the Cossack ataman Paramonov. The role received mixed reviews in the Cossack environment - from delight to complete rejection.

In 2013, the "Accident" team turned 30 years old!

By the anniversary, we are giving all our fans a new "old" album - a record of the band's early songs, which for various reasons were never recorded in the studio. The album was released both on digital media and on vinyl - for true connoisseurs and collectors.

Sergey Chekryzhov: I consider "Tunnel" to be one of the most successful albums of the National Assembly in terms of content and layout. And it all started with the fact that Lyosha brought, as they like to say now, a new corpus of texts, which inspired all of us very much ... "

A collection of the best songs on two CDs, released for the 25th anniversary of the team.

The first disc is made up of recognized hits, the second - based on the musicians' own preferences.

Alexey Kortnev: “On this album, almost everything sounds the way I wanted, the way I imagined ... I really like several songs from this album. First of all, "Pantalone" and "Cormorant" ...

For their 21st anniversary, the team presented a big concert show at the State concert hall"Russia". In this program, many songs of the National Assembly were performed in unexpected arrangements, and the vocal parts, together with Alexei Kortnev, were performed by friends of the team - famous artists and musicians.

The recording of the Zirkus program became the band's only official live album.

Roman Mamaev: “Yes, it was in the year of the TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY ... Already in the spring, the mood was such that if you don’t record an album for this significant event, then it will be ... no, in fact, no one allowed such thoughts ... That year no one went on vacation. Because everyone was recording an ALBUM… The enthusiasm reigned. Mitya always answered all questions about the quality of the next session with enthusiasm, and not always with censorship ... "

Dmitry Chuvelev: “In 1998, as many people remember, there was a crisis in our country, and we realized that they would no longer give us money for albums in large and expensive studios. And so we were riding in some kind of train, thinking what to do, and decided to write a low-budget album. And just shortly before that, I assembled a small studio at home ... "

Valdis Pelsh: “Off-season” is our youth, our serious formation, because the songs of “Off-season” received the first wide recognition ... After the “Off-season” program was made, we, in fact, began to exist as a real creative unit ... »

Sergey Chekryzhov: “After the release of the first album, we were extremely inspired. And they began to think about creating a second one… In the process of recording, the concept of the album was born - a radio concert with meaningful and ironic announcer preambles… It seems to me that in many ways the second album influenced the style of the National Assembly, eclectic and unique…”

Pavel Mordyukov: “Trody Pludov, as the name suggests, is not a thoughtful concept album, but an attempt to capture what we had accumulated by the early 90s… The album is probably the most eclectic, unprofessional and uneven of all albums NS. But, in my opinion, he is the most charming and bright ... "
