A knife whizzed by, and I began to stutter. Konstantin Meladze: "A smart woman cannot be ugly" Why Meladze stutters and blinks

IN Lately on the Internet there were many messages about the illness of Konstantin Meladze. A well-known producer and composer in Ukraine and Russia has never given such frank interviews. And in the program "Alone with Everyone" he did not say a word about his personal life with Vera Brezhneva - only about work, but told many other secrets.

Meladze Sr. said that although music became the main meaning of his life, it did not make him happy and that with age he had an understanding that neither work, nor career, and even music is not the most important thing in life. And the job is extremely dangerous. Because it is a direct path to loneliness. This is probably why there are so few producers. They live in an illusory world and devote all their time to other people - artists.

Konstantin Meladze is a well-known composer who has earned the fame of one of the brightest and most talented producers of our time.

His hits are heard on many radio stations in the CIS countries, and therefore, today, probably everyone knows his name. But about the multifaceted and special composer, about what turns of life led him to the world of Ukrainian and Russian show business, very little is known. Many have been trying to collect detailed information about the life of a famous Georgian.

Konstantin Meladze was born on May 11, 1963 in the Georgian resort town of Batumi. From childhood, Kostya was a very calm and even quiet guy. That is why they and his younger brother Valery Meladze were often opposed to each other. Valera was a hooligan, and Kostya constantly admonished him. From time to time, something similar happens today.

As for the love of music, it appeared in life young guy quite unexpectedly and at first nothing worked. He decided to turn to music again after a guitar appeared in his house.

In 1989, Konstantin and his brother Valery began to perform together. As part of joint project they managed to make several semi-professional recordings of their songs, which soon fell into the hands of famous composer Kim Breitburg.

He became interested in their work and soon invited the guys to his group "Dialogue". In 1993, the Meladze brothers left the Dialog group.

Konstantin Meladze began to stutter as a child, and besides, he has vision problems. However, now you can’t say, looking at such a successful man in every sense and a creative genius, that this was some kind of sentence for him.

Konstantin Meladze answered a direct question from Yulia Menshova about stuttering that the reason for this was the birth of Valera, his younger brother. It was stress, although before the birth of the youngest, Kostya was very talkative. Only after some time did he begin to speak again, but slowly and stuttering.

“I began to withdraw into myself more, because it was difficult to communicate with peers ... I was more silent, listened to music, composed!” - Konstantin Meladze told Yulia Menshova.

Didn't bypass straight Talk and the topic that raised a big fuss around his divorce from his wife Yana. The couple has three children, one of whom is autistic.

“I heard about her revelations (ex-wife Yana - ed.) in the press. Yes, I agree with everything. Yes, if a woman was unhappy, only I am to blame. But I couldn't leave on my own until they sent me away. I always try to spend more time with children. I'm glad that Yana is happy, let someone make her happy.

Ex-wife composer and producer Konstantin Meladze Yana Summ spoke about the serious illness of their common son Valerian. It turns out that the boy has a severe form of autism. The parents learned about the disease seven years ago.

“Valerian, up to 2.5 years old, was an ordinary active and inquisitive kid, like his peers. Crawled, ran, sang and even spoke. And we attributed small oddities to character traits, ”says Konstantin’s ex-wife

One day, walking with her son past the memory stand of one doctor, she said to him:

"The doctor was smart, he treated people."

Since then, Valerian said this phrase every time he was in that place. By the age of three, the boy began to regress, but his parents did not immediately understand this.

“Later, they explained to us that Valeryanchik’s speech was unconscious. Absolutely all children under three years of age “work” like a voice recorder, repeating words after others,” says Yana.

“But, imagine, a year and a half ago, my son still had a friend.”

Ivan and Valerian have the same diagnoses, and the fact that the guys were able to establish communication is a real miracle.

- Your brother Valery is incredibly lucky - you write songs for him, you don’t need to buy.
- It's not lucky for him, but for me that I have such a brother. Who would need my songs if he didn't sing them like that. Here, in fact, who is lucky, you still need to think.

How did it happen that you became a producer?
- At the time when I began to study music, such a profession had not yet been heard of. At first, at the age of six, I just felt that I really liked music. At the cinema, at the children's screening, the film "Oginsky's Polonaise" was shown. I heard this wonderful melody - and something immediately turned over in my brain. I begged my mother to buy me a violin and give it to music school. And at the entrance exam, they told me that I was practically mediocre, I had neither hearing, nor voice, nor rhythm. But still they took the violin - there was simply no competition for this department, and there were few boys.

- Did you send your brother to the music school too?
- Yes, in fact, they gave it away for the company with me - not to say that he really wanted it. But they took him to the piano as a more talented person than me.
And in general education school we both studied terribly. My fives were only in subjects that interested me, for example, in chemistry. The rest are dead threes. Valera is the same.

- Is it really a triple in physical education?
- Physical education in our school was taught simply - they threw the ball for 45 minutes and ran. Fives were given to almost everyone who came. But my brother and I were engaged in sports on our own. I am athletics, swimming and basketball. Valera - all in a row. We grew up in the working village of BNZ (Batumi Oil Refinery), in Georgia near Batumi. And so that we would not get into a bad company, my mother decided to keep us busy with something. And so we went from morning to night to all the circles that were possible.

- But how to misbehave, break the drain in the neighbor's garden?
- Tearing the neighbor's plums is all a trifle! We made explosive mixtures of lime, set barns on fire. Exploded carbide. They did terrible things. When we were kids, we were so, you know, unpromising. Mom and dad thought with horror about our future. Oddly enough, some kind of rebirth happened when we entered the shipbuilding institute. We moved to study in Nikolaev. At first I entered, a year later - Valera. At the institute, we somehow sharply wised up.

- Were you interested in girls during your studies?
- Not really. It wasn't before. We were consumed by creativity and career dreams. We rehearsed a lot - five times a week, four hours. Then I wrote a lot of songs.

- Is it while studying in shipbuilding?
- And in my third year I got into amateur art, into an ensemble. And since then - away we go. It turned out that I have a hearing, and what not! .. (Laughs.) After all, in childhood I was a somewhat inhibited child, phlegmatic. And then it opened up.

- Sometimes the knowledge gained in childhood and adolescence interferes with the choice of the future path. So many people know that they can't decide. Did it bother you?
- There was a period. But life so happened that we went into music. In the late 80s, we just graduated from the institute. Valera studied in graduate school, defended his dissertation in shipbuilding. And I worked at the department at the same institute ... Terrible inflation, the poverty of scientists pushed us to finally abandon the scientific environment and still choose what we like - music.

- Who produced the first team?
— Kim Breitburg. He comes from Nikolaev, and our institute ensemble in Nikolaev was famous. Kim came to the rehearsal, listened to our first album, which we recorded on a household tape recorder. The album was really good, as I understand it now. Then Kim suggested that we join the Dialog group - Valera sang, and I played keyboards and wrote songs. The album was released in Germany.

- It turns out that Breitburg helped you as countrymen?
– No, more like people who surprised him. In us, he saw a prospect for his group, and in general. True, then the "Dialogue" broke up, and we were left out of work.

- If I'm not mistaken, did Evgeny Friedland bring Valery Meladze to Moscow?
- Eugene produced "Dialogue" when we worked in a group. Then, when the group broke up, he began to produce Bravo. And for several years we tried to promote our songs on our own. In the early 90s they themselves came from Nikolaev to Moscow. We borrowed money, found an apartment, filmed our first video “Don’t disturb my soul, violin.” For their own money, they placed it on television. After that we were noticed. And in 1995 our first album came out. And that's when the real popularity came.

- Why, in this case, did you decide to take up the VIA Gra project?
– Because at some point I thought that I needed to somehow expand the palette. I decided to try purely producing activities. We gathered girls, by and large any kind. At first, I had fun in this way.

- That is, you decided that from any beautiful girl can you make a star?
- No. I just wanted to see if I could make a "product" out of any "material at hand" that would be released to the masses. Well, what happened, exceeded all my expectations. It turned out that I was capable of such things. Well, let's go...

- What family are you from? Who are the parents?
They are far from music. Engineers. And my grandmother was generally the secretary of the city committee, grandfather was one of the leaders of the oil refinery in Batumi.

- How did your parents evaluate your work with Valery?
- Well, until we really became popular, they were skeptical about it. We regretted that we did not go to work in our specialty, we are not engaged in shipbuilding. And to some extent, I understand them. Because we couldn't get out for a long time. And so they fed them "breakfast" all the time. They said: that's it, that's it, that's it. In fact, life was very hard. Well, in 1995 everything was realized. And when they saw us on the country's central TV channels, of course, they were delighted. Now they are proud.

- Over the years of creative searches, did you know the moments of lack of money?
- The state of complete lack of money was from 1990 to 1994. This is exactly the moment when we tried to popularize our music. We, of course, did not succeed. Since we were not in the format of that time. Popular were "Kar-Man", Gazmanov, dance simple music. Ours was complex, melodic. Then she seemed foreign. But our time has come.

- Are your current wards from the Star Factory good for their time?
- Completely. Here it depends on me, on the producer, how I will direct them. These people should become popular not in 5 years, as we are, but now.

- Why doesn't your family move from Kyiv to you in Moscow?
– I also live in Kyiv. I moved there from Moscow. Lived here for two years and moved.

- From what?
“It’s impossible to work here, write songs. Busy, noisy. And I have Ukrainian citizenship.

- You named the youngest son Valera. Why?
- I love my brother very much. There were no other names. As a child, God knows when, I told my brother that as soon as I have a son, I will call him Valera ... Valera is the banner of our entire family. Our vanguard. He became the face of the Meladze family. We have a lot different projects. I have one - "Star Factory", "VIA Gra", something else. Sister Liana has "Uma2rman", "Chi-Li".

Well, Valera is our firstborn. He became popular first. And it is somehow present in all our projects. With your advice and energy. I'm a backstage person, and it seems that I do everything myself. No, my brother helps.

- And it’s not a shame that he is the face of the family, and not you ...
He is the face and I am the butt? No. I'm not offended. I never aspired to publicity. So he came to the "Factory" with his brother. Moreover, he set a condition for Channel One, so that they would not push me out too much. Let the brother perform public functions, and I will work as always. I just love music, that's enough for me. And I have no talent to attract attention to myself.

- May I ask a dumb question? Tell me, Konstantin, where does your stuttering come from?
“I have had a stutter since I was two years old.

- Did someone scare you?
- Yes. Here's the thing. When my mother went to give birth to Valera, I was given to the nanny. We lived on the first floor, and she on the top. Since our grandparents held leadership positions, they were busy all the time. There was no one to leave me. So they left her. And her family was dysfunctional. The nanny's daughter was arguing and fighting with her husband all the time. That day they fought to such an extent that they began to throw knives at each other. At that moment I woke up - and the knife almost hit me.

I got very scared and shut up. Although I started talking very early. But after that incident, he was completely numb. When mom came home from the hospital, she was in shock! A year passed, and I began to talk slowly, but with a terrible stutter. Now it's nothing but school years it was just awful.

- Were you offended?
- You know, I just think that I should say thank you to this nanny.

–?..
“If I hadn’t been scared, I wouldn’t have become what I am. He would grow up as a normal child, sociable, cheerful, developing correctly. And I wouldn't do music. And thanks to this incident, I became different. He did not communicate with anyone and began to slowly think to himself. He went into some kind of surrealistic world, read a lot, listened to music a lot, wrote it already in early age. In this world and developed. As a result, he became a musician. If not for this stress, I would be like mom, dad and everyone else.

Are your children into music?
- They are still small. While watching us on TV, dancing, singing along. I haven't yet seen any special attraction to music in them. The eldest Alice is 7, the middle Leah is 3, and the youngest Valera is 2.

- Don't your brother's children study music?
- No. He also does not put pressure on his daughters. The fact that my brother and I make music is an exception in our family. Despite the fact that everyone in Georgia sings well, our relatives do not have outstanding abilities.

- What does your wife do?
- Children, housekeeping. She is not involved in show business, and indeed in any business. That's the beauty of it. I would not want her to love me for the songs.

The opinion of a colleague - Joseph Prigogine:

- I consider Konstantin Meladze one of the most talented musicians and producers in the post-Soviet space. We have known both Valera and Kostya for a long time and have always kept in touch. Sometimes I even had a desire to work together, to cooperate, but somehow I did not gain the impudence and courage, and Kostya was also busy with other projects.

Konstantin Meladze told why he stutters: Singer ALEKSEEV, because of Konstantin Meladze, could not get to his first musical project

Performer of the song "Drunk Sun" Nikita Alekseev gave candid interview before his big solo concert in Moscow. The 24-year-old musician told how he managed to break into show business.

Two years ago, the singer Nikita Alekseev, who performs under the pseudonym ALEKSEEV, gained popularity. His track "Drunken Sun" fell in love with many listeners and hit the top 100 of the Shazam world chart. The musician is only 24 years old, but tomorrow he will give his first big concert in Moscow. solo concert. He did not manage to break into show business immediately. He talked about his failures and love for music in a recent interview.

Alekseev did not hide that he began to sing at the age of 10, and a few years later he began to perform with friends in small institutions and for classmates. At that time, he began to receive his first royalties. The singer admitted that he has no academic music education, but he does not exclude the possibility that he will still receive it later. According to Nikita, for the first time he tried to get on musical project and take his place on the stage at the age of 18, but Konstantin Meladze prevented him. “For some reason, he asked if I served in the army, I answered no, and they said goodbye,” the artist said, but noted that he was then not ready to participate in a television project and now he is even glad that he was refused .

Konstantin Meladze told why he stutters: Konstantin Meladze told why he stutters: Vera Brezhneva published the first frame from her wedding with Konstantin Meladze

Photos from the wedding of Vera Brezhneva and Konstantin Meladze appeared several times on the Web. Although the couple themselves did not show pictures from their holiday.

By the way, Konstantin and Vera have very little joint photo which they show to the public. So it's very rare frame not just because it's a wedding, but also because celebrities rarely publish joint photos.

Konstantin Meladze told why he stutters: An unexpected scandal surfaced in the family of Konstantin Meladze

Konstantin Meladze, although a public person, always tried to hide his personal life. The proof of this was that the producer carefully concealed for 10 years his turbulent romantic relationship with Vera Brezhneva .. Meladze's ex-wife, Yana Summ, in one of her interviews, spoke about what she noticed double life her husband while still pregnant with her son. True, then she resigned herself to the situation for the sake of the child.

“She is the sexiest and most beautiful! I never tire of admiring her! - it was difficult to expect such enthusiastic frankness from Konstantin Meladze.

But he could not speak openly about his love for Vera Brezhneva for many years. Now it's time to catch up...

They have been married for two years. "I got married grandly!" smiles Konstantin. His Italian wedding with Vera Brezhneva in October 2015 was supposed to be a secret - just like a long relationship.

Friends at the wedding turned out to be truly devoted - not a single photo was leaked on the social network. Verina's surname let us down. Local journalists, seeing her name in the lists of marriage, decided that this is a relative of the Soviet General Secretary. And they trumpeted the wedding to the whole world.

“Happiness loves silence,” the singer wrote on her Instagram that day. She firmly adheres to this principle - she does not give any comments about her marriage to Meladze to this day. But Konstantin - always so reserved and even slightly phlegmatic - seemed to have been replaced.

I wrote my best songs for Vera, - the composer admits. - With her arrival in " VIA Gru"I began to write completely different songs, more spiritual, sublime, filled with feelings and music ... You can say she is my muse!

"I MISSED A LOT"

Meladze was far from being an ardent young man when he married Vera. She is 33, he is 52. A man wise with experience and gray hair, behind whose back long marriage, and in the luggage - a measured life, established principles and habits. But Vera managed to change everything.

I finally raised my head from the keyboard and ... More precisely, I didn’t even raise it myself, but rather Vera picked me up by the hair and said: “Here, there is still a lot of interesting things,” says Konstantin. - Before Vera, I didn’t care, to be honest, how I look. I didn’t care where I rest and whether I rest at all, what I eat and so on.

I missed a lot, I was obsessed with my work. And I would probably have missed everything completely if Vera hadn’t given me this pendal and aroused in me an interest in a life other than just the studio and music.

Meladze has always been a workaholic. Work, work and work again - everything else is leftover, including family. The first time he married late, he was already over 30. However, neither Yana's beautiful wife, nor three children could pull him into life. He existed in some kind of his own world - sounds, meanings, images.

I, sitting in the studio from morning to evening, did not have time to feel the importance of having children, - Meladze regrets. - I was always in a hurry somewhere, I had only self-realization and a bunch of all sorts of projects in my head, there were more and more of them.

Konstantin put all his strength and emotions into his songs. There were no more of them left.

“AS A HUSBAND I WAS THE WORST EVER”

But his heart trembled at the sight of Vera. An ordinary girl who came to the casting of VIA Gra.

We did a video test, which threw me into an absolute delight, because she was exact copy Brigitte Bardot in her youth, Meladze recalls. - A year later, she was already an absolute star.

Vera did not remain a student for long. Pretty soon, for Konstantin, she became a beloved woman.

For more than 10 years I hid an affair with Vera from my wife, ”he admits. - As a husband, I was nowhere worse ...

But Konstantin was not going to change anything - he says: he is one of those men who do not leave until they are kicked in the ass. Yana endured for a long time. And when rumors began to reach her about her husband's romance on the side, and when she received reliable evidence of infidelity when she saw the text message on his phone.

That time was insanely difficult: their little son was diagnosed with autism, Yana already felt like she was being shot, rushing about in search of doctors. She decided to save the family, tried to understand and forgive. But after a few years of torment, she still filed for divorce.

By that time, Vera had also filed for divorce from her second husband, businessman Mikhail Kiperman. Nothing else prevented her and Konstantin from being together.

"WITH HER IN THE SEVENTH HEAVEN"

However, the lovers did not dare to leave the “underground” for a long time. For two years they lived together in Kyiv, settled in the same room on tour. And they categorically denied that they were together.

This is base nonsense, a sick and meager fantasy of people! We have a high and very warm relationship, we are just old friends, - Meladze was very plausibly indignant.

When the secret became clear, he finally relaxed. And he began to enjoy relationships that were not spoiled by lies. Meladze squared his shoulders: he is the husband of the sexiest and most desirable woman in show business. We must comply: today Konstantin looks different - younger and more cheerful.

Now control has been taken over me, - Meladze smiles. - If it were not for my wife, I would have walked in one T-shirt. Previously, it used to be that for 5-7 years he wore the same thing - T-shirts and baggy jeans.

He is surprised at himself: Vera spun him like a whirlwind. Gatherings with friends, going out with children to nature, to the cinema - even before all this was a waste of time, but now it is a joy.

My eyes were opened, I began to see the world, began to crawl slowly out of the submarine. If earlier, in order to feel happiness, I needed, for example, to see a crowded hall or my song on the first line of the hit parade, now this feeling arises out of the blue. We were recently on holiday in Italy. Vera is sitting next to me, the sun is shining, some music is playing ... And that's it, I understand that I'm in seventh heaven!

1. Konstantin Meladze found salvation from stuttering in music.“I was clumsy at school, I stuttered a lot, as, in fact, now. Only now it does not bother me, and in those years, of course, stuttering brought me many problems, troubles and complexes. Maybe that's why I kind of left in some a parallel world: into music, and then into poetry. And this world seemed to me more pleasant, there is no need to communicate, talk, it is enough to listen and play. Over time, I didn’t care about stuttering, but in my world I’m still comfortable.”

2. Likes standing ovations.“The first time I wrote a song for my brother was in 1978. We sang it at the institute. After performing on stage, we began to collect instruments, and suddenly we heard a roar, a scream. It didn't take me long to realize that I liked the song. We had to do it four times as an encore. So I heard the first applause. I liked them, and I wished to hear them always.

3. Konstantin Meladze does not consider himself handsome."When they called me "The Most handsome man Ukraine” according to Viva! magazine, I thought it was some kind of mistake. To be honest, this is the most unexpected award in my life. But since it happened, it seems to me that they chose not so much according to my external data, but according to the work that makes a favorable impression on people. Thank God I don't consider myself handsome!"

4. Konstantin Meladze is sure that the attractiveness of a woman is in her mind.“If a woman is smart, then she cannot be ugly. A smart woman, without even making special efforts, somehow attracts a man to her so much that he falls in love with her. Girls of the same model type, with perfect proportions and correct facial features (not without the help plastic surgeons) attract men less and less every year. When it’s empty inside, it’s like fake candy: you open a beautiful wrapper, but there’s no candy inside. ”

5. Avoids housework.“I never had a desire to do something around the house: neither take out the trash, nor hammer in a nail. No, I sometimes hammered a nail, but without much pleasure. True, then it was necessary to do repairs. Here is my brother Valera - a jack of all trades, like my dad. In this sense, I am absolutely mediocre.”

6. From his youth he was a mentor for his brother.“I came to Nikolaev from Batumi, where you can’t walk much, because in Georgia it’s not supposed to walk. And here is freedom, I am 18 years old, there is no mom and dad, there are at least 100 girls on each floor of the hostel. And it started ... And then my parents sent Valera to me, as to an older brother. They knew that if he went somewhere on his own, without me, that was all ... Valera went to college, settled in a hostel, and then left one evening, and I didn’t see him for eight months. He was a handsome man, as he is now - fashionable, handsome, with long hair. The girls saw him, he saw them, that's all."

7. Doesn't know how many songs he has written.“I didn’t count my songs. In general, I try not to analyze what I do. After all, they say: "If you think about how you breathe, you can suffocate." I don’t do self-digging and analysis of the quantity and quality of my songs. I don't know how I write music at all, let alone lyrics. Every time I get a really good song, I listen to it after a while and think, “What does this have to do with me?”

8. Konstantin Meladze is prone to depression.“I am a depressed person, and since childhood, so my midlife crisis began, probably, at the age of ten and continues to this day. And therefore, among the permanent depressions, I did not notice this crisis. I have a crisis in a day. Well, what can you do, my character is like that.

9. Never having fun.“Believe me, there are such people - and I am one of them. When good mood- maximum smile.

10. Doesn't sell his songs.“I write them only for my artists. But I can give a song.
