Yesterday in the club "1 ROCK" (former "Shadow") started new season festival-competition for young rock musicians "On the rise!" Young Moscow rockers have been queuing for participation in it since December 2007.
Few people remember that this competition, invented by the Moscow City Duma deputy Andrei Kovalev, is very young - in October it was exactly a year old. Every week six youth rock bands performed at the 1 ROCK club. Participants of the semi-finals were selected from them, and then the finalists. The performance of the winners took place in the summer at the Green Theatre.
- For me, the contest "Take off!" - this is what I was going for for a long time, - told the correspondent of "Vecherka" the father-founder and chief "helmsman" of the festival - the deputy of the Moscow City Duma and rock musician Andrey Kovalev. - In our country, a young rock musician is a real devotee, it is almost impossible to make money in this area. Where and how can young rock bands break through, seek support, whom to contact? Cool bands are being created both in Moscow and in the provinces, but no one knows them, we don’t have rock channels on radio and TV, among the many pop “factories” there has not yet been a single rock “factory”. So I decided to create such a project myself. The main thing is that it is fundamentally non-commercial, no entrance tickets and participation fees. On the contrary, all winners receive very substantial cash prizes. In addition, for young bands such concerts are a great opportunity to perform in front of the public, to express themselves, to find their listeners. During the evening in the Small hall of the club we gather 700–800 people, Great Hall- up to one and a half thousand.
The festival has turned into a real youth holiday. At the same time, “Take off!” - The competition is very friendly and tolerant. Where else can you find such a variety of styles: hard Rock, metal, punk rock and blues.
The audience takes all the performers very sincerely, trying to support everyone.
“Here, no one boos anyone, no aggressiveness and anger,” Andrey Kovalev is clearly proud of his brainchild. - It is very important for me that as many young and talented people as possible try their hand, so that the young Russian rock came out of the cellars and got his open area.
170 teams took part in the first season. Here is the opinion of some of the participants: - We learned about the festival by chance, through word of mouth, - recalls the guitarist of the Eidol band Vladimir Baranenkov. - We sent an application via the Internet, received an invitation. At first, we didn’t even think about any victory - we were happy that we could speak to the public, show ourselves. When in qualifying round won first place, they were very surprised.
Gathered, grouped, began to carefully prepare for the next performances. As a result, they advanced to the semi-finals. On this day, I received my daughter's birth certificate, so I had a double holiday! Played in final concert at the Green Theater in front of several thousand spectators. In total, 80 thousand rubles were earned for participating in the festival. I think that this is quite enough to write studio album what we have long dreamed of. Thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to perform both at “On Takeoff!” and at other large festivals such as “Glory to Russia! Glory to Moscow! Thanks for the great technical equipment concerts, for excellent sound. We could only dream of playing on such equipment! And most importantly, thank you for confirming us even more in the correctness of our path. Long live Russian rock!” - For us, as well as for the vast majority of "Navzletov", rock music is a favorite hobby, - says Vladimir Budnik, guitarist of the Troya group. - If you play rock professionally, it is impossible to feed yourself, and even more so your family. But "Take off!" gave us the joy of communicating with like-minded people, the opportunity to speak to the audience.
“I have the most positive impressions of the festival,” recalls the guitarist/vocalist of the Evening Guest band Ivan Shlyapin.
- Andrey Kovalev and his team managed to create a cool atmosphere at the festival - rocker and human! As an experienced musician, I can say that we have never had such festivals before! In the village of Shuvoye, one of the largest events of the Yegoryevsk urban district took place - the V Interzonal Festival-competition of VIA and rock groups “We cannot forget these roads ...”, dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 90th anniversary of the Moscow region.

The founders of the project were: the Administration of the city district of Yegoryevsk, the Department of Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the city district of Yegorievsk, the Municipal Cultural Institution "Shuvoy Cultural and Leisure Center".

The festival has been held in the region since 2015 and over the years of its existence has not lost its relevance, continuing to gather in the Shuvoy cultural and leisure center musical groups from different cities of the Moscow region, lovers of real live music.

This year the Festival was held as part of the project "Moscow Region Frontier" for the victory in which the Grand Prix was awarded.

Participants performed in two categories: VIA, rock bands.

The festival was opened by Sergey Evstigneev, Deputy Head of the Egorievsk City District. He congratulated the participants and spectators on the holiday, thanked the invited bands for their creativity, live sound and emotions that they give to the listeners.

Among the invited guests of the festival: the head of the Department of Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the city district of Egorievsk Natalya Vladimirovna Tsyro, the deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma Mikhail Anatolyevich Demidovich.

The performances of the groups were evaluated by professional musicians, composers, sound engineers, specialists of the Department of Culture:

14 creative teams from the cities and districts of Yegorievsk, Voskresensk, Likino-Dulyovo, Kolomna, Roshal, Stupino presented 3 works to the jury. Two songs - at the choice of the contestants. One - according to the theme of the festival within the framework of the project "Moscow Region Frontier" (songs about the Moscow region, about the Motherland, about the Great Patriotic War, modern songs about the war).

The Festival was attended by both professional VIA and rock bands, as well as bands starting their musical activity.

On this day, the debut of the performance of the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Center Band" (Kolomna) took place on the stage of the Shuvoy cultural and leisure center. The soloist of the group Anna Chevtaeva received a special jury nomination "Creative Individuality".

For the third year in a row, VIA Gusliary replenishes its award box with a victory in the Festival - folk group from Likino-Dulyovo. Musical direction this team - the performance of Russian folk songs, their processing in a modern style.

I would like to point out the good emotional mood hall and participants, which allowed all spectators and musicians to become one. Fans from different cities and regions supported not only their own groups. A lively response was found by all the performers who showed different levels of proficiency in instruments and voice.

On this day, the jury had a hard time finding a fair decision.

According to the unanimous opinion of the jury, the Grand Prix was awarded to the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Vremya" (Shuvoye village), for the performance of the song "Moscow Region", which became a kind of anthem of the Festival:
