The Tyumen Philharmonic is one of the leading concert institutions in the Ural-Siberian region. In 2001-2003 the Philharmonic building was reconstructed. The capacity of the hall has increased to 1229 seats, its acoustic characteristics have improved. The modern stage equipment, the availability of high-quality lighting and sound equipment allows not only academic concerts to be held in the hall, but also to regularly host theater and choreographic groups.

In 1999, the Tyumen Philharmonic became a laureate of the Window to Russia competition in the Best Philharmonic of the Year nomination. The central press noted that she "literally burst into the philharmonic elite of Russia" ("Culture" 01/15/2000).

In 2001-2003 The building of the Philharmonic has undergone reconstruction.
