Lighting issues are one of the most important and significant moments in the organization of modern art space. Multi-tiered chandeliers for the theater serve not only as a banal source of light, but create the very "spirit of the place" and the magical atmosphere of the theater. A slowly dying chandelier marks the beginning of the action, and the refined ringing of crystal pendants emphasizes the charm of opera parts.

Large theatrical chandeliers serve as an organizing link that unites the tiers and boxes and merges with all aspects of theatrical life. No wonder the Dutch architect Eric Owen Moss called the project presented for the reconstruction of the Mariinsky Theater "a theater placed inside a theatrical chandelier", combining the presence of the past and the expectation of the future. The light of the theatrical chandelier expresses the connection of times and is the basis for the development of the architect's idea.

Modern theatrical chandeliers must be energy efficient and safe, light enough and mobile enough to allow proper care and maintenance.

To combine all these requirements with the necessary luxury of a chandelier for the theater, professional assistance in choosing which our company offers will help, because the production of theater chandeliers is a highly specialized area and a very responsible activity that real professionals should be engaged in.

The gilding of the most significant jewelry has begun auditorium Bolshoi Theater- an old chandelier, (weight more than two tons).
In the first years after the opening of the Bolshoi building restored by Albert Kavos, the theater premises were illuminated by candles and oil lamps. To light the oil lamps of the chandelier of the auditorium, it was taken upstairs to a special room. But already in 1863 this chandelier was replaced with a new one with gas jets (there were 408 of them!). According to contemporaries, the glasses of the lamps of gas lamps were heated to such an extent that they sometimes burst, showering their fragments on the heads of spectators.

Thirty years later, electricity appears in the Bolshoi Theater. Moreover, to illuminate the Bolshoi and Maly theaters in the building of the Maly Theater in the early 1890s. a separate power plant was built. The gas horns of the main chandelier of the Bolshoi were converted into electric lamps - and in this form the chandelier has survived to this day.

The three-tiered chandelier of the auditorium is 6.5 meters in diameter and 8.5 meters high. The weight of the steel frame with brass elements exceeds 1860 kg. To decorate the chandelier in 1863, 15,000 crystal pendants weighing more than 260 kg were made. However, during the operation, a significant part of the crystal decoration was damaged and lost. Of the 24,000 crystal elements, the restorers had to restore over 13,500 pieces anew.

In 2006 the best masters countries began to restore the chandelier. In progress integrated research Lost parts made of crystal, glass and brass were identified. In the future, they were recreated according to analogues of surviving historical details. Antique crystal pendants that had chips were not replaced, but carefully sanded and polished with the utmost care so as not to disturb the true facets. Thanks to the painstaking work of the restorers, the openwork pendants and crystal "oak leaves" of the baskets were completely restored. New details were created in strict accordance with the preserved historical elements.

The masters had to completely clear the preserved gilding. A previous analysis of the condition of the chandelier showed that the layers of gilding were made in different techniques and different materials used. If the first layer was made with oil gilding “on the Mordan”, then the subsequent time was used the created gold or powder based on a copper alloy. Details made of brass during previous restorations were not gilded, but polished. This was largely due to the fact that restoration work was often carried out with non-compliance with the technological cycle. The current state of gilding by the restorers now working in the Bolshoi was recognized as unsatisfactory. The primer layers became brittle over time and easily peeled off along with the gilding. Traces of corrosion were found on the iron parts.

“Now the main chandelier is once again returning to its historic splendor. After the master gilders complete their work, the main chandelier of the theater will be decorated with updated crystal pendants,” said Mikhail Sidorov, official representative of the general contractor, director of the PR Department of the Summa Capital Investment Group.

After the last renovation, it became problematic to get into the theater. Tickets for premieres began to cost fabulous money, or you could visit the theater by special invitation.

Currently, the hype with prices has passed, today tickets are available to everyone, and each of us can come to the Bolshoi Theater, enjoy its architectural splendor and the wonderful performance of the artists on stage. Every tourist who has visited Moscow can recognize the Bolshoi Theater by its colonnade, which is crowned by the god Apollo on a two-wheeled chariot made of bronze. This sculpture was sculpted by a famous Russian sculptor.

By the way, at the mention of the quadriga, the scandal of 2014 involuntarily comes to mind. As we know, the Bolshoi Theater is depicted on a 100 ruble bill, on the front side of which there is a quadriga controlled by a half-naked Apollo. For the first time toThe upyura was put into circulation on January 1, 1998.

So, if you wish, if you look hard (or use a magnifying glass, or just try to enlarge the image), then Apollo can see an uncovered reproductive organ.

This discovery was made in 2014 (the year Crimea was annexed to Russia) by a member State Duma from the LDPR faction by Roman Ivanovich Khudyakov, who, apparently since January 1998, either reduced or enlarged the image, and finally, suddenly, under random circumstances in 2014, discovered the undisguised dignity of the naked Apollo. “Oh God, sexy money. What will the children say if they, like me, try to enlarge the image of a hundred-rouble note?” thought Roman Ivanovich, and ... immediately sent a letter to the chairman of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, recalling which, in accordance with federal law No. 436 "On the protection of children from harmful information" on banknotes should be marked "18+". The MP also proposed to replace the banknote ancient god sights of Sevastopol!

It is curious that 3 years before the final detailed study of the banknote by Roman Khudyakov, in 2011, during the restoration of the Bolshoi Theater, Apollo’s manhood was covered with a fig leaf, but the restorers did not guess or did not want to inform the Central Bank about the “new utility” ... Since then, and even after the deputy’s appeal to the Central Bank, the modification of the banknote has not changed ... Maybe it’s cheaper this way? Or was the discovery made by a member of the wrong faction...?

It is not only the outer side of the building that surprises with its magnificence. Unusually beautiful and huge theater from the inside. The hall of the Bolshoi Theater consists of five large tiers, decorated with gilding and red velvet. Total population visual places – 1768.

The theater stage is very large, with excellent lighting. It is fully computerized. The hall has excellent acoustics. And in the center of it hangs a chandelier with a diameter of about 6 meters, unusually beautiful, made of crystal. The chandelier itself hangs from a round plafond, on which images flaunt Greek gods and music.

Making chandeliers for large halls is not an easy task. Of the ready-made chandeliers offered by manufacturers, it is almost never possible to choose anything, because each hall, whether it be a hall of a museum, theater or university, is special. It is important to take into account many nuances in order to create a really suitable chandelier - and proportions, and styling, and even the colors of the surrounding interior.

The specialists of our workshop have been working with crystal chandeliers for many years, and they know everything about the creation of chandeliers. We will develop a chandelier for any hall - concert, assembly, museum. We will take into account all your wishes, as well as the slightest nuances, so that the chandelier in your hall looks perfect. Our partners from the Czech Republic will create a chandelier according to your order from the best crystal. Your order will be quickly and accurately executed and delivered, and our specialists will install and connect the chandelier on the spot. We can handle any bespoke chandelier. See how we have decorated the various meeting rooms with our wonderful crystal chandeliers.

The central dome is illuminated by a multi-tiered chandelier reminiscent of a wedding cake, and in other rooms there are elegant bronze chandeliers with intricate castings. The lower tiers are illuminated by elegant palace-style sconces with large pendants. Crystal drops, as it were, shed blessings from heaven on every wedding ceremony.

The incomparable chandelier is very interesting in itself. It is fixed on the ceiling itself, bright lamps shine in it. To make the light of the chandelier softer and spread wider, we supplemented it with very long pendants with crystal balls. The chandelier looks incredibly stylish, because it combines traditional transparent crystal with thick garnet-colored crystal. The bright chandelier is incredibly cute - its soft glow and pink reflections of colored pendants are conducive to relaxation.

On the white ceiling, decorated with golden stucco, there is our beauty - a crystal chandelier with candles in three rows. Elegant pendants and crystal beads adorn our chandelier - I must say, it turned out not only solemn, but also filigree-light, like poetry itself!

High halls, designed in light coffee tones, and decorated with slender columns and high windows of the “Stalinist” style, we supplemented with a lot of pretty chandeliers made of Czech crystal. Neat chandeliers are located between the columns, the lamps of which are tightly hung, like a canopy, with sparkling crystal sequin pendants. The soft, diffused light of these chandeliers is complemented by neat fixtures on the walls.

As you can see, this is a very bright, effective lamp, light and dynamic. Moreover, its dynamics is directed not downwards, but upwards. We specially took several pictures of these "soap bubbles" so that you can appreciate the apparent airiness of the structure. As you can see the bubbles have irregular shape. It seems that these large bubbles are lifted up by a strong stream of air.

On beautiful curved branches-horns there are very thinly molded carved leaves, on which each vein is visible. Shimmering crystal beads connect carved crystal bowls. Each bowl has a light bulb.

For this hall, we have created not just a classic chandelier. This is a chandelier with elements typical for chandeliers of the gallant age. Take a look - our two-tier chandelier is quite tall. Above her lamp-candles is a whole crystal turret, made up of tendrils and pendants. Long crystal beads stretch to each horn, and a whole cascade of beautiful crystal pendants falls like rainbow rain from our beauty. By tradition, we decorated the very bottom of the central crystal flask, which hides the base of the chandelier, with a large faceted ball.

We decorated the central part of the operating room with a large chandelier in classical style. A fairly tall chandelier nobly covers its bright lamps with a veil of long threads with crystal beads. Each tier of a beautiful chandelier is separated from the other by a beautiful metal hoop decorated with a carved pattern.
