The museum ensemble includes more than four dozen architectural monuments, and the depository has about half a million items. Natural history collections. The natural history collection includes biological, zoological, geological and entomological collections.

The Museum of the Diplomatic Corps in Vologda is located in the building that housed the American Embassy in 1918.
