Today my friend, the famous Professor Nicolas turns 26 years old. If you don't already know, he hosts amazing science shows for kids where every child takes part in interesting experiments and thus learns something from physics and chemistry. I recently filmed one of his performances, about this in today's report.
Once, Nikolay peeped an idea from a Canadian company and decided to create the first science show for children in Russia. At first there was one small show with dry ice, but over time he began to add more and more experiments. Now the program includes 14 science shows and more than 70 experiments. By the way, now Nikolai can be seen on the boxes of children's science kits.

What are the most interesting places where did you perform?
- Children's colony for juvenile delinquents. The children were quite mature, 16-18 years old, and an incident occurred during the performance. I give the flask to a volunteer, and at the same moment an aunt appears - a policeman and takes the flask away from him. As a result, I had to do the whole experiment myself, and the guy just stood by.

4. During the reaction, colored water rises and falls through the oil without mixing with it. And if you turn off the light and turn on the flashlight, the "real magic" will begin.

2 - Experience with soda
5. Surely at home or in a nearby store there are several cans of soda for the holiday. Before you drink them, ask the guys the question: “What happens if you submerge soda cans in water?”
Drown? Will they swim? Depends on the soda.
Invite the children to guess in advance what will happen to a particular jar and conduct an experiment.
6. We take the cans and gently lower them into the water.
7. It turns out that despite the same volume, they have different weight. That is why some banks sink and others do not.
Commentary by Professor Nicolas: “All our cans have the same volume, but the mass of each can is different, which means that the density is different. What is density? This is the value of mass divided by volume. Since the volume of all cans is the same, the density will be higher for one of them, whose mass is greater.
Whether a jar will float in a container or sink depends on the ratio of its density to that of water. If the density of the can is less, then it will be on the surface, otherwise the can will go to the bottom.
But what makes a regular cola can denser (heavier) than a diet drink can?
It's all about the sugar! Unlike ordinary cola, where granulated sugar is used as a sweetener, a special sweetener is added to diet cola, which weighs much less. So how much sugar is in a typical soda can? The difference in mass between regular soda and its dietary counterpart will give us the answer!”
3 - Paper cover
Ask the audience a question: “What happens if you turn a glass of water over?” Of course it will spill! And if you press the paper to the glass and turn it over? The paper will fall and the water will still spill on the floor? Let's check.
10. Carefully cut out the paper.

Commentary by Professor Nicolas: “Although it’s not so obvious, but in fact we are in the real ocean, only in this ocean there is not water, but air that presses on all objects, including you and me, we just got used to it to this pressure that we do not notice it at all. When we cover a glass of water with a piece of paper and turn it over, water presses on the sheet on one side, and air on the other side (from the very bottom)! The air pressure turned out to be greater than the pressure of the water in the glass, so the leaf does not fall.
4 - Soap Volcano
How to make a small volcano erupt at home?
14. You will need baking soda, vinegar, some dish detergent and cardboard.
16. Dilute vinegar in water, add washing liquid and tint everything with iodine.
17. We wrap everything with dark cardboard - this will be the “body” of the volcano. A pinch of soda falls into the glass, and the volcano begins to erupt.
Commentary by Professor Nicolas: “As a result of the interaction of vinegar with soda, a real chemical reaction with the release of carbon dioxide. And liquid soap and dye, interacting with carbon dioxide, form a colored soap foam - that's the eruption.
5 - Candle pump
Can a candle change the laws of gravity and lift water up?
19. We put a candle on a saucer and light it.
20. Pour tinted water on a saucer.
21. Cover the candle with a glass. After a while, the water will be drawn into the glass against the laws of gravity.
Commentary by Professor Nicolas: What does the pump do? Changes pressure: increases (then water or air begins to “run away”) or, conversely, decreases (then gas or liquid begins to “arrive”). When we covered the burning candle with a glass, the candle went out, the air inside the glass cooled, and therefore the pressure decreased, so the water from the bowl began to be sucked in.

6 - Water in the sieve

8. Force majeure.

8.2. The Party, for which a situation has arisen in which it became impossible to fulfill its obligations due to the occurrence of force majeure circumstances, is obliged to immediately (but not later than 5 (five) working days) notify the writing the other side.
8.3. In the event of a dispute about the time of onset, duration and end of force majeure circumstances, the conclusion of the competent authority at the location of the relevant Party will be an appropriate and sufficient confirmation of the beginning, duration and end of these circumstances.
Failure to notify or untimely notification of the party about the beginning of the force majeure circumstances deprives it of the right to refer to them as a basis for relieving from liability for failure to fulfill obligations under this agreement.
8.4. If force majeure circumstances and / or their consequences continue to operate for more than 30 (thirty) calendar days in a row, then the Agreement may be terminated at the initiative of either party by sending a written notice to the other party.
9. Responsibility of the parties.
9.1. For non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment of the terms of this Agreement, the Parties shall be liable in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
9.2. All text information and graphic images, posted in the online store and on the website - belong to Veselaya Nauka LLC, or have another legal owner, and therefore the illegal use of the specified information and images is prosecuted in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
10. Warranty
10.1. The warranty period for the Goods is established by its manufacturer.
11. Return of goods
11.1. The Buyer has the right to refuse the received Goods of good quality and return the Goods to the Seller within 7 (seven) days from the date of receipt of the Goods, subject to the safety of the Goods, presentation and consumer qualities Goods, as well as a document confirming the fact and conditions of purchase of the said Goods and other documentation transferred to the Buyer with the Goods.
The Buyer is obliged to return the Goods to the Seller on his own and at his own expense at the address: 141707, Moscow Region, Dolgoprudny, Likhachevsky proezd, 4/1, from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 18.00.
The refund of the amount paid by the Buyer for the Goods is carried out in cash at the office when returning the Goods or to the current account specified by the Buyer.
11.2. The following items cannot be exchanged or returned:
Non-periodical publications (books, brochures, albums, cartographic and musical publications, sheet art publications, calendars, booklets, publications reproduced on technical media)

11.3. Claims for the Goods of inadequate quality. A Good of inadequate quality means a Good that is defective and cannot ensure the fulfillment of its functional qualities. The received Goods must correspond to the description on the site. The difference in design or design elements from those stated in the description on the site is not a malfunction or non-functionality of the goods. Appearance and the completeness of the Goods, as well as the completeness of the entire order, must be checked by the recipient at the time of delivery of the Goods (except for delivery by mail or a third-party delivery/courier service). Upon delivery of the Goods, the Buyer puts his signature in the Delivery Certificate, in the line: “The Goods were delivered in good condition, in a complete set, it has no external mechanical damage and is in its original packaging.” After receiving the order, claims for external defects of the goods, their quantity, completeness and presentation are not accepted. If the Buyer was given the Goods of inadequate quality, and it was not agreed in advance by the Seller, the Buyer has the right to use the provisions of Art. 18 of the Consumer Protection Act. The Buyer has the right to demand the replacement of the Goods, refuse to fulfill the contract of sale, return the Goods of inadequate quality and demand a refund of the amount paid for the Goods. The Seller is obliged to accept the Goods of inadequate quality from the consumer and to check the quality of the Goods (examination) within 20 days from the date of presentation of the specified requirement. Any of the above requirements must be presented by the Buyer in writing.
11.4. For a return Money on the Buyer's bank card, it is necessary to fill out the "Application for the return of funds", which is sent upon request by the Seller to email address Buyer, and send it along with a copy of the Buyer's passport to the Seller at the address: 141707, Moscow Region, Dolgoprudny, Likhachevsky proezd, 4. page 1.
In order to return funds credited to the Seller's settlement account erroneously, through payment systems, the Buyer must apply with a written application and attach a copy of the passport and checks / receipts confirming the erroneous crediting. This application must be sent to the Seller at the following address: 141707, Moscow Region, Dolgoprudny, Likhachevsky proezd, 4 bld. business days from the date of receipt of the Application to the Buyer's bank account specified in the application. In this case, the refund amount will be equal to the amount of erroneously credited funds to the Seller's settlement account minus bank fees.
The term for consideration of the Application and the return of funds to the Buyer begins to be calculated from the moment the Seller receives the Application and is calculated in working days, excluding holidays/weekends. If the application is received by the Seller after 18:00 on a business day or on a holiday/day off, the moment the Company receives the Application is the next business day.
The Buyer must submit the demand for the return of the Goods to the Seller either in writing at the address: 141707, Moscow Region, Dolgoprudny, Likhachevsky proezd, 4 p. obligatory indication contact details of the Buyer that match those specified when ordering the Goods, the name of the returned Goods and the reasons for the return. The Buyer has the right to ask all the questions that have arisen to the Seller by phone +7 495 617-41-11.
When returning the Goods of inadequate quality, the Seller shall reimburse the Buyer for the cost of the returned Goods and the cost of the delivery paid by the Buyer. When returning the Goods of good quality, the refunded amount of money will be reduced by the amount of the commission for transferring funds to the Buyer's account, as well as by the cost of shipping the Goods from the Buyer back to the Seller.
In the case of payment by bank card, the refund is made in full, without deducting a commission, if the bank does not charge this commission.
12. Miscellaneous terms.
12.1. All disputes related to non-fulfillment, or improper fulfillment of their obligations under this agreement, the parties will try to resolve during negotiations.
12.2. In case of failure to reach an agreement during negotiations, disputes will be resolved in court in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
