Soloist of the quest group. Quest Pistols, band history, discography

There was no longer any hope to see the ex-members of the group Quest Pistols together on the same stage - it seemed that the paths of Anton, Nikita and Konstantin parted forever. But the sky took pity on the fans of their talents - the artists united in new project and now they surprise with their debut work for the song “Let go”.

Agony group. Photo Evgeny Burlyai

- Guys, what a strange name - "Agon"? Where did this word come from?

Kostya Borovsky:

When it became finally clear that we wanted to work together, the question arose about the name of the group. One of us said: “The main thing is that the name should be “just fire”. Later, despite other versions, it turned out that this is the same name. Fire is a creative force, a creative element, passion and motivation, without which there is no creative process.

Nikita Goryuk:

There were options: "Three Reptiles" and "Guys". But "Fire" is an unusual word, most of all reflecting our fiery mood, ardent perseverance, fiery diligence and burning mind. "Fire" cannot be stopped when it turns into a fire.

- Who came up with the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating the Agon group?

N. G.:

The idea captivated us, especially when we realized that the team's golden line-up could return and show itself in all its glory. Now this is not a production project, but ours creative work- as it was before.

Anton Savlepov:

The idea of our high-profile return was voiced by the composer Sasha Chemerov, the author of the most famous songs QP (now he composes for us). The idea of creating such a project intrigued me and inspired me a lot. And when I heard the finished demo album, all possible doubts were transformed into a steady confidence in success.

- Tell your version: why are you all in different time left Quest Pistols?

A.S.:

Every year my activity in Quest Pistols Show increasingly reminiscent of the role of a hired worker. Latest songs and the clips in this project did not resonate in any way with my musical tastes. When we left the group, each of us created our own project. Nikita presented the St. John's wort music team, Konstantin founded the BRVSKI clothing brand, and I opened the ORANG+UTAN vegetarian sandwich bar in Kyiv.

K. B.:

Unfortunately, information was posted on the Web that the reason for my departure was a certain requirement of my wife. This statement is completely untrue and Once again shows show business from its most unattractive side.

RITUAL DANCES

What can cause disagreement between you? What is the difference between your fights now and eight years ago?

N. G.:

We seem to have grown out of the "panties of quarrels" and left behind the moment of incandescence. Now we're just flames.

A.S.:

I have noticed that in later life, friction arises either over money or over women. common girls we don't, and monetary relations are well organized. Eight years ago, arguing was the style of our communication, we were teenagers who wanted to loudly declare themselves. But in any case, quarrels are not appropriate, they are always ridiculous. I remember many idiotic conflicts over trifles, and not a single serious one.

K. B.:

We recently went on stage together for the first time in years. It felt like we were born on this site. Sometimes, of course, we argue, but these are purely creative differences, when everyone defends his idea.

- Do you have any rituals before going on stage?

A.S.:

My grandmother was an old believer, she taught me one defensive method that works 100%, I tested it. (Smiling.) So we decided to always use it before a gig. We kindle a fire in the dressing room and take turns jumping over it three times, saying in our mind maiden name his mother. If at least one thread on the clothes catches fire, then the concert will be unsuccessful. In such rare cases, we refuse to perform and return the fee. We just don't want problems.

COMPETITION - FOR NERVOUS

- have ever happened funny situations with fans?

A.S.:

One day, a guy who has been closely following the development of our group for a long time and is its fan, specially got a job as a security guard in the hotel where we settled. When he saw me in the hall, he tore off his security badge from his chest, threw off his jacket and, right on the parquet floor of a huge hall, presented a dance number with elements of a lower break dance. It was a special and unexpected gift! It is a pity that the real, dedicated hotel security quickly interrupted the unauthorized "show" without letting us get to know each other.

Can you say that you are on a par with other boy trios, such as Ivanushki Int., Dzidzio, Emotion, Not People? Do you consider them your competitors?

N. G.:

I hear some names for the first time, and I respect those I know for their contribution to music. Well, competition is for nervous people.

A.S.:

The stage is not a sport. The moment you start looking at it through a competitive lens, know that you are doomed to failure. Competition always implies a fixation on the result. I like the process itself, I am an artist, I express emotions on stage. People come to experience them with me. Well, what kind of competition can there be? Now I treat music differently, it educates me. I recently bought a subscription to a site of classical works - a real sound therapy, almost every composition is perfect.

K. B.:

Perhaps there are artists with whom we will be compared. But our songs are too cool and original. This is a separate niche, not occupied by almost anyone - juicy, branded pop.

Long road in the dunes

- What did you want to say with the title of the debut song "Let go"? Are you trying to get rid of something?

N. G.:

The sculptor removes everything superfluous from the stone, leaving the beauty of the forms. Perhaps we are on the same path. We separate the excess.

K. B.:

The song has two meanings, as in ancient mantra. The first one is on the surface: let me go home, there is no more strength to play. This is the history of the band and its members, old, new and latest. The second, intimate, is internal and more important: what each listener can see in the song for himself or about himself, which will make you think.

A.S.:

I think the word "Let go" is inherently symbolic for us and for you. It is the personification of a whole stage on the path of development. Each of us knows and understands exactly the moment when you need to take a step forward and let go, get rid of everything that interferes. Begin with clean slate- it's about me.

- How did you create the video for the song "Let go"?

A.S.:

Filming took place in Los Angeles and Kyiv. They remember above all unusual places and the fact that almost every time it was quite a serious test. In America, they set scenes in the dunes, in which it was incredibly difficult to move around. They also worked in the Red Rocks protected area, where it rained constantly. Short intervals, when the sky allowed us to shoot, were used to the maximum. In Los Angeles, an unexpected story happened to us. For several days they were looking for the necessary location. As a result, they chose an old half-abandoned bridge. At 8:30 in the morning, the film crew and I arrived at the site and saw ... how our bridge was being destroyed by workers. For some time the whole team watched this magical process and eventually understood the symbolism of what happened - for good luck.

K. B.:

Questions like this always baffle me. Cause all I can think about right now is the clip. What will it be, and what can I do to make it as close as possible to what was planned. Do you understand? Not about the fact that the monkey was tired and tore Nikita's suit, and not about the fact that I ran around the track for six hours in a row and was tired. These things are always enough for any shooting, and they are characterized by the slang word "kitchen". While working on a video, strange things always happen, but the task of the artists and those who are involved in the process is to ensure that there are as few “curiosities” as possible. I would like to believe that people like high-quality music and beautiful video sequences a little more than funny everyday stories.

N. G.:

The most difficult moment during the shooting was for me a fall from a 10-meter height. Back forward! Into the smoke! It was scary and difficult psychologically. But the stuntman who trained me at the end shook my hand and praised me.

justice league

- Is there a leader in your team? How are the roles distributed in the group?

K. B.:

We don't have a clear leader. Now more important, rather, is the synergy of qualities - everyone tries to manifest and open up in creativity as much as possible. This is the main responsibility.

N. G.:

Our leader is justice. We're just the Justice League. And we all respect her, listen and do what our heart tells us. It tells us to be together.

- Who do you feel like now?

N. G.:

We are heroes, we fight evil in one way or another.

- Where do you draw inspiration from when you come up with incredibly ornate movements?

N. G.:

Like da Vinci, in nature and the environment.

- What will you tell our readers in connection with the premiere of your new group.

We wish everyone to remain reasonable and understanding people. Our body is the temple of the soul, do not let anyone defile it!

Today songs and line-up Quest Pistols The shows are known to everyone who is at least a little interested in modern domestic show business.

But in 2007, no one could have thought that the April Fool's performance-prank of three young and outrageous dancers with the composition "I'm tired" would grow into a mega project - the Quest Pistols Show group, which regularly changes its concept, but does not lose popularity.

Group Quest Pistols Show 2018. New composition relevant for today.

About all members of the Quest Pistols Show group

The history of the group began in 2004. It was then that choreographers Anton Savlepov, Konstantin Borovsky and Nikita Goryuk founded dance group Quest Pistols. They defined their style as "aggressive-intelligent-pop". The guys performed quite successfully in front of the Kyiv public, but there was no talk of real popularity yet. Then the producer Yuri Bardash sent Anton and Nikita to vocal lessons, and Borovsky was assigned the role of rapper.

The breakthrough occurred on April 1, 2007, on the Chance project, broadcast by the Inter TV channel, a cover of Long and Lonesome Road by the Dutch band Shocking Blue sounded. The performance instantly received 60 thousand messages in support, and the composition "I'm tired" occupied the first positions of the main domestic charts for a long time.

In September of the same year, in Belgium, the Pistols performed the "Dance Against Poison" program in support of a healthy lifestyle. Many do not believe, but "quests" do not consume alcohol and nicotine, and actively promote vegetarianism. They also don't listen to club music and don't go to savory establishments.

The success of the guys from Quest Pistols was overwhelming. They did not have time to give interviews, and their photos constantly flashed in Russian and Ukrainian glossy tabloids. In 2011, fans were alarmed by the unpleasant news that Anton Savlepov was leaving the team, but this information was soon refuted. Around the same time, Konstantin Borovsky announced a change in status and a transition from soloists to curators, and another participant joined the guys - Daniel Joy (Daniil Matseychuk).

In 2013, Kostya Borovsky and Matseychuk left QP to create the boy band KBDM. Although critics have spoken of creative crisis The Quick Pistols continued to tour as a couple, and were soon joined by an incognito masked member.

Initially conceived as a trio, the group has grown to five members in 2014. Washington Salles, as well as Ivan Krishtoforenko and Mariam Turkmenbayeva joined the team. Soon Daniil Matseychuk returned to the team. But the main laurels still belonged to the trio of founders: Goryuk, Savlepov and Borovsky, and the newcomers remained behind the scenes for some time. And only when an updated title appeared and the group received a new name Quest Pistols Show, information began to appear about a change in concept and sound.

Today, the team prioritizes a high-quality visual image, vivid images and choreography honed to perfection. The opposite images of the participants create the impression of a dance battle, but despite the unusual format, the new tracks turn out to be very harmonious and memorable.

To date, Quest Pistols has three full-length albums in its luggage

  • In 2007 - "For you";
  • In 2009 - "Superklass",
  • In 2017 - "Lubimka".

The team is the owner of the Golden Gramophone and MTV Europe Music Awards. "QP" has repeatedly submitted an application for participation in the Eurovision Song Contest: once from Russia and twice from Ukraine. In 2009, the selection failed due to the fact that the composition "White Dragonfly of Love" was already being broadcast on radio and TV in violation of the rules. In 2010, the group applied for participation in Eurovision in Oslo with the song "I am your drug", but the guys failed to get into the list of finalists. In 2011, another unsuccessful attempt was made.

Konstantin has a diploma in philology, knows several languages, but does not regret at all that he devoted his life to dancing. In addition to the craving for choreography, Kostya also discovered the talents of a designer and stylist. In Quest Pistols, it was he who designed the scenery and costumes for soloists and ballet, and was engaged in staging dances. The band's official website is also his creation.

In the fall of 2011, Borovsky announced his decision to leave his career as a vocalist and fully focus on the activities of the director-producer. But after a while, the young man left the team, together with Daniil Matseychuk, launching a new project "KBDM".

At the moment, Konstantin is engaged in the promotion of his brand BRVSKI, plans to act as an expert in the popular reality show "Super Model in Ukrainian" and performs together with the "Agon" group, which united the founders of "QP".

At school, Anton was an excellent student, so his relatives predicted a serious academic career for him. But the young man became seriously interested in dancing and met Nikita Goryuk at the break dance festival. At the same time, he entered National University culture and arts of Kiev to the choreographic faculty, but due to the creative breakthrough of "Fast Pistols" classes and sessions had to be shelved.

In 2013, Savlepov, under the pseudonym Zorko, released a solo disc of the same name. In the Quest Pistols Show group, he performed until the beginning of 2016. Then the leading soloists began to leave the band one by one, and newcomers began to take their place.

Anton was invited many times to various TV shows, including the popular program Big Difference. In 2016, together with Konstantin Meladze, Andrey Danilko and Yulia Sanina, Savlepov tried on the role of a jury member of the 7th season of the X-Factor talent show. As part of the group, Daniel stayed for several years. In 2013, together with Konstantin Borovsky, he created creative association"KBDM", which includes not only musical group, but also his own clothing brand, and the club project KBDM DJ's. Hits of Quest Pistols

The next hit after the sensational cover "I'm tired" was the composition "White Dragonfly of Love", which collected a record number of views on Youtube video hosting. It is interesting that at the very beginning creative way the repertoire of the pop trio consisted of only 3-4 songs, and this was clearly not enough for full-fledged concerts. The guys found a simple way out: first, "Pistols" rocked the hall with their dance numbers for about half an hour, and then performed the songs they had in stock.

By 2007, the repertoire expanded, and the debut album "For You" saw the light of day. Almost all lyrics were written by the leader musical group"Dymna Sumish" by Alexander Chemerov under the pseudonym of Izolda Chetkha. The only composition of the period 2007-2012, written by another author, is "White Dragonfly of Love" by the novice musician Nikolai Voronov. Works over late years belong to the pen of the soloist of the group Nikita Goryuk.

Around the same moment, Anton Savlepov wanted to leave the team, but after the release of the video “You are so beautiful,” he changed his mind.

In early 2014, popular tabloids increasingly began to write that the team was in a creative crisis. At the same time, Nikita Goryuk released his solo track "White Bride". Many predicted that the group would cease to exist. But Goryuk and Savlepov continued to tour together, presenting to the public new single Baby boy. And a little later they appeared to the public in a completely new role and introduced new participants. The presentation of the new line-up was marked by the release of a cover of Igor Siliverstov's 1992 composition "Santa Lucia".

On November 15, 2014, with the premiere of the Quest Pistols Show, the band went on a world tour. The concept of the show became the basis new philosophy group, which later led the Quest Pistols group to the format of a show project performing dance, club house music.

September 1 came out new clip“Coolest of all”, and in October the team performed at a large-scale solo “Unlike Concert” and presented their first album “Lubimka” with a renewed line-up.

Creative activity Quest Pistols

The first debut song of the guys is the composition "I'm tired", which sounded April 1, 2007.
