And when Olezhka does all the work, he begins to sing at the top of his voice. The neighbors were banging on the wall: “Make the radio quieter!” But the "radio" could not sing quieter. The reason for this is role models, numerous records that Oleg bought in a discount store for three kopecks apiece. He listened carefully classical operas, and then reproduced both male and female parts.

Sometimes Oleg went on stage at the Kostychevsky House of Culture. People were perplexed: “Where does the boy have such a voice?” And his voice is from God and from his grandparents - in their youth, both sang in the church choir.

Oleg was perplexed: “What conservatory? I don't even know the notes! But still he came to the conservatory. He was late for the entrance exams, but they still auditioned him. And they enrolled right away. In the entire history of the conservatory, he became the only student with a unique voice range - from baritone to soprano.

Continuing their joint work, Peter Gekker and Oleg Bezinskikh record a CD "Jewish Melodies" (from baritone to soprano), the presentation of which takes place in the cities of Spain. At the audition, Oleg sang in baritone and dramatic tenor, after which he was allowed to apply and take exams, but Oleg asked to listen to another of his voices, which he called "female", which amused the commission. However, when he sang, the laughter stopped, and Bezinskikh was enrolled in the St. Petersburg Conservatory named after N.A. Now Oleg is working on an unusual project. It mixed and musical genres, and music of various directions and time of writing. The singer's creative search speaks of him as a versatile personality.

Oleg Bezinskikh, with the help of teachers, constantly improves his vocal technique and performance skills, considering this one of the main factors of vocal art.

When did you realize that you are not like everyone else?

Why not like this? I'm like everyone else (laughs).

You know, I never thought about it. Well voice and voice. Here grandfather had a bass profundo - this is the lowest male voice, - I got a tenor from him. And my grandmother had a coloratura soprano. She and her grandfather sang in the church choir all their lives, so the family heard both low and high notes. And when I, boy, sang high voice The family took it well. The only thing my mother always said was that I unusual child, because all babies are born red, and I was white. Mom was terribly scared, she thought that her son was born dead. The doctor says: “Strange, this is the first time I am taking such a child. So you take care of it." And I have been protected all my life. And the first sound I made was a bass scream.

When did the public first learn about your talent?

First baptism of fire in the role of a countertenor happened in the tenth grade. For the city singing review, our school had to come up with something new, something that others would not have. And I say: "I have one chip." As a result, at the review, I sang Lel's song from the opera "The Snow Maiden" - "The cloud conspired with the falcon." Hall laughed. Imagine: a huge guy, weighing under a hundred kilograms, sings in a thin voice. I gave the command to the accompanist not to play until the hall calmed down, and when everyone calmed down, I sang a second time, and no one else moved. I finished, there was silence - I stand and do not understand anything. When I turned to leave the stage, suddenly there was applause, and then I realized: the school had the first place.

How much did you need musical education?

Very necessary! Classical music taught to think and accustomed to insane order. After all, even cacophonous or diatonic music teaches order and discipline. By the way, it was at the Conservatory that they first began to hint that I was a castrato.

What do you think about it?

I'm very good. Well, castrato and castrato, for God's sake! So, not like everyone else. And not like everyone else - that means I attract attention. And I attract attention - it means that I am interesting to people. Not everyone understands that if I speak in a normal voice - a lyrical baritone - and sing in both a baritone and a high voice, then I cannot be a castrato. Not physiological, not biological, not something else.

Do you think the public is ready to accept on the stage a performer who will stand out with his voice, and not with an extravagant appearance or a scandalous personal life?

There are just over a hundred countertenors all over the world. Of these, people who sing in the range from low baritone to soprano - five or six. Considering that there are six billion people on the planet, it turns out that people like Bezinsky are about one in a billion! I am very pleased that I am one of them. Super nice! Therefore, I will not prove anything to anyone, I will not invent any “stories”. I just create. The Russian listener was sometimes fed with low-quality music. Let's just agree
Xia say not "pop", but "variety". So, the stage is also different. Shulzhenko, Utyosov are also a stage. But we don't blame them, do we? Because it's beautiful. So, I want to do the same. I want to bring melody to the stage.

The Walt Disney Company approved you several years ago as a stand-in for Mickey Mouse in Russia.

I voiced a lot of cartoons and films and sometimes I didn't even know what they were called. I was interested in both voice work and reincarnation. And Mickey is generally my character. When I stood in front of the microphone, I imagined that I had the same big ears. Once voiced it for five hours in a row! And it was not Oleg Bezinskikh, it was Mickey Mouse. By the way, in some cartoons Minnie Mouse, Mickey's girlfriend, speaks in my voice. The girl who dubbed Minnie often left the studio, forgetting to voice some scenes, and I squeaked for her.

I will clarify - my voice is not studied, but studied. I did not continue to cooperate with scientists, because I cannot sit still - I live both in Moscow and St. Petersburg, on trains and on planes. At the Ukhtomsky Institute, the topic “The Origin of the Human Voice” was researched. I don’t know how the matter ended, but as for me, a spectral analysis was made - I make a sound with a frequency of 1000 MHz, like a newborn, while the voice of a “normal” tenor has a frequency of around 560 MHz. As for the use in medicine: about four years ago, a woman appeared in my life quite by accident - she bought my first album “Music of my soul” at a concert. She suffered from insomnia and neurasthenia, tried all the medicines, but nothing helped. And when she put on a cassette with my songs, it helped her, even her attending doctors confirmed this. Since then, this woman always falls asleep to my songs.

Above tenor

- Oleg, they just don’t write about you in newspapers and on the Internet! What is the right way to call you?

- Now a lot and incorrectly write "counter-tenor" or "counter-tenor". This English word countertenor (literally translated "above the tenor"). Therefore, it is more correct - countertenor.

How did you get to know your voice at the conservatory?

— When I was admitted to the conservatory, the teachers did not know at all what to do with me and how to teach me. I was sent to Viktor Yushmanov's class. Given away because... former surgeon! He could understand how the countertenor apparatus works. Viktor Ivanovich was the only doctor of science teaching vocals in Russian universities. In his book Vocal Technique and Its Paradoxes, he raised the topics of the psychology of vocals. Singers have associative thinking. And sometimes they are told like this: “Here, take your breath, hold it here, and here you have lower costal diaphragmatic breathing.” When I sing, I don't think about it!

But everyone has different associations!

“Therefore, the student must always work with the teacher in an ensemble in order to understand the style and flow of the master’s thoughts. That's what happened to me. Plus to this ensemble is a wonderful accompanist Galina Senina. I had already graduated from the conservatory, but continued to work with these people. Victor
Yushmanov became my godfather when I was still a preparatory student at the conservatory.
friend even on stage

- Among your fans, your performance of "Ave Maria" enjoys special love. Mstislav Rostropovich, whom you knew, said: "Everything that I play, I love to faint." What songs or projects are your favorite?

- In general, I am one of those people who sing whatever they like. Regardless of whether my entire range is used in the work or not.

I often give concerts in St. Petersburg, and the public can hear in my performance works from baritone to soprano! For example, a composition from the repertoire of Ima Sumak “Carnival”, “Mambo Italiano” with Russian text, an anthem to St. me, - “Let go and goodbye” by Alexander Prusov, works from the Jewish disc “Prayer” by Peter Gekker ... This is all my favorite music!

As for the fans, they help me a lot and do it disinterestedly. There is an excellent doctor in Moscow, and I always know who to turn to with a question about my health. In St. Petersburg there are a lot of not just admirers, but already friends who really help me in all matters. And I am grateful to them!

Are there any detractors?

I wish all the ill-wishers good health and for long years life! I'm friends with normal and kind people. And I'm a friend on stage too! After all, if I go on stage just as an artist, the concert will not take place!

- Oleg, and without your chic costumes, the concerts probably won't take place either?

I love interesting costumes! Nika Velikzhaninova sews a lot of clothes for me in St. Petersburg. She designed costumes for the circus "Du Soleil", for Bolshoi Theater, sewed to many of our skaters. And I have been so honored. It was she and her assistants who sewed the costumes for the ice opera “Infinity”, for my video.

There is a prince's suit, where the collar is made of Italian lace, which was woven by men by hand, and there is a suit decorated with real Swarovski stones. But in Lately I gravitate towards classic suits. In everyday life I love sport style: T-shirts, trousers - and the looser, the better. In short, like all people.

Opened one of 2000 doors

- Oleg, after Galina Vishnevskaya called you a Russian miracle, do you perceive yourself as an ordinary person?

“I am a completely normal person. Yes, more is given to me than to some. But it is known that if more is given in one sphere of activity, then in another - a little less. I try to be versatile, but I know, for example, that I will never learn to play well on any musical instrument, this is not given to me. Are there people who fly planes well? And this is great, it's just that they talk about good pilots and know less! And since I am an artist and a public person, they say a little more about me. Yes, there are few people with a voice like me, but I'm ordinary.

Do you know any other countertenors?

- Yes, but neither in Europe nor in Russia no one else sings from baritone to soprano. It is said that there are two people in Japan and America with a similar range.

I am also familiar with other countertenors. One of these is Michael Chance, who comes to St. Petersburg every year. He is a great virtuoso and surprisingly subtly and authentically feels and performs baroque music. A promising countertenor Vasily Khoroshev has now appeared in Moscow (a worthy replacement for the departed Eric Kurmangaliev). Of course, I also know people who consider themselves countertenors, but they are not. But I don't want to talk about these.

- The first two directorial educations were a waste of time?

- I think my higher education helped me, of course. But how life would have turned out differently without them, I can only guess. I could have been born in a different family, or I might not have been born at all! Life chose me, not me. There were, let's say, 2000 doors or roads in front of me. I opened one door, there were others behind it... Life is a labyrinth. We enter through different doors and do not know where we will go. Regretting the past is stupid, we can only experience or rejoice in the past. A minute of our conversation with you has passed - and this moment cannot be returned. We must live in the present and try to change the future in better side. To be kind and beautiful is human uniqueness!
