Childhood and youth

Andrei spent the first years of his life in a communal apartment in the capital, and his first dreams about who he would become in the future took shape there. Among the most interesting professions, Andrei singled out herpetologists, zoologists, divers and paleontologists, and, as Makarevich himself assures, most of these plans really could be realized in his adult life.

Noteworthy is the fact, for example, that Andrei began playing the guitar at the age of 12, addicted to the music of Vysotsky and Okudzhava. In 1966 Makarevich discovered " The Beatles"And quickly became a real Beatleman, listening to his favorite songs literally all day long.

Already, being in the eighth grade, Andrey decided to organize his first Music band, which was called "The Kids". Then they and their friends performed covers of popular foreign bands, which was facilitated by the school itself, as it was with an emphasis on learning English.

A year later, Makarevich and his classmates created the Time Machine group, which exists and continues to perform to this day.

After school, Andrei tried himself as an architect at the Moscow Architectural Institute, but after three years of study he was expelled, probably due to the special interest that he had in rock music, which was actually banned at that time. Despite the work of the architect in the Giproteatre, Makarevich always paid the main attention to music and his group.

Back in the days when school enthusiasts founded the "Time Machine", one could talk about the great influence foreign music and the various principles of the hippie movement that still seeped through the Iron Curtain.

In the 70s, the group was actually in the underground in relation to the norms accepted at that time and the general idea of \u200b\u200b"trustworthy" musical groups. This made it difficult to legalize the activities of the group, and also led to the disruption of various concerts and festivals.

The situation improved in the 80s after the "Time Machine" officially became an independent ensemble at the "Rosconcert". Musicians at that time received various rather lucrative offers, for example, the opportunity to play music at performances.

After the group began to tour steadily throughout the USSR, and together with the inclusion of its repertoire on the air of state radio stations, "Time Machine" ceased to be perceived as something counter-cultural, gaining widespread fame in the Union and abroad.

Political views and scandals

Despite the fact that the singer always tried to distance himself from political issues in his work, it can be said that he never supported the Soviet regime and, in general, advocated the removal of the Communists from governing the country. After perestroika, Makarevich strongly supported Yeltsin and even became his confidant, and later he advocated the election of Medvedev as well.

1960 - 1970

Andrey Makarevich studied at the 19th Moscow school (a special school with an English bias), where in high school, thanks to the fact that in 1966 Andrey got acquainted with the music of The Beatles and, in his own words, became a Beatles fan, like many of his peers, and a group was invented and started, now known as the “Time Machine”. Initially, school team, in which Andrei played and sang, was called "The Kids" and he performed cover versions of English-language songs

1969

Together with Beatleman classmates Alexander Ivanov, Pavel Ruben, Igor Mazaev and Yuri Borzov, and then Sergey Kavagoe, a student of a parallel school, the same “Time Machine” was organized, which, having replaced many participants, exists to this day. This group is associated with a huge part of life and creative activity Andrei Makarevich. For almost 50 years, he has been the permanent leader of the group, its main lyricist, as well as the composer and performer of a significant part of the songs.

1971

entered the Moscow Architectural Institute

1974

He was expelled (in fact, by a closed order of party authorities, due to disapproved rock music), after which he got a job as an architect at the Giproteatr (“ State Institute designing theaters and entertainment facilities"), where he worked until 1979. In 1975, he returned to the Moscow Architectural Institute for the evening department, graduating in 1977 with a diploma in architecture. However, the main occupation all this time was working with the "Time Machine"

Classmates

Andrei Makarevich - popular Russian singer, a talented composer, the permanent leader of the Time Machine group. Andrei Vadimovich composes poetry and lyrics for his songs, paints pictures. His songs are relevant at all times. Many viewers remember him as the TV presenter of the Smak program.

Due to recent high-profile statements, Makarevich was written down almost as a traitor to the Motherland. However, Andrei Vadimovich himself once admitted that he was never interested in politics. More than anything, he wants to do his main business - music.

Parents saw Andryusha as the successor of his father's work - Vadim Grigorievich Makarevich, a famous Soviet architect. But in the first grade, they nevertheless sent him to a music school, to the piano class. Musical notation was not given to the boy in any way, and the solfeggio lessons were brought to hysterics. In the end, Andrei left classes.

Khrushchev's "thaw" of the 1960s broadened the horizons Soviet people. Music was one of the discoveries British group The Beatles. Andrei Makarevich first heard Lennon and McCartney at the age of 12 - and also went crazy: “I had the feeling that all my previous life I wore cotton wool in my ears, and then they suddenly took it out. I just physically felt that something inside me was tossing and turning, moving, changing irreversibly. The days of the Beatles have begun. The Beatles listened from morning to evening ...

Sometimes my parents, exhausted by the Beatles, kicked me out onto the balcony along with the tape recorder, and then I made the sound to the fullest so that everyone around would also listen to the Beatles ... ”By the way, the Beatles records appeared in their house thanks to the father of the family, Vadim Makarevich. He asked a colleague for a foreign record and copied it onto a tape recorder. Of course, the enthusiastic teenager also wanted to play "like the Beatles." Together with his father, he even sawed his first guitar out of plywood.

But in the USSR, Beatles were not favored, and English-language songs too. But Andrew found a way. While studying at a school with an English bias, he, along with classmates Misha Yashin, Larisa Kashperko and Nina Baranova, created the group The Kids (“Children”), which performed English folk songs. The guys played at the evenings of school amateur performances, where they even performed covers of the Beatles. All this was presented as a process of learning English.

Once the musicians of the famous VIA "Atlanta" came to the school. Supervisor VIA Alexander Sikorsky allowed schoolchildren to play on their equipment. Makarevich was struck by the sound of the bass guitar. But it was difficult to buy it in those years. Then Andrei bought an ordinary acoustic one and put the strings from the cello on it. The sound is quite acceptable.

Another serious step was the decision of the teenager to assemble a new team, which received the name Time Machines (“Time Machines”), drummer Yuri Borzov came up with this name. In the same year, the guys recorded their first album on a home tape recorder.

Performing rock in the USSR was a thankless task. A few rock bands disguised themselves as VIA, playing rock under the guise of folk music. The Soviet group with an English-language name and a student body had no chance of becoming famous. Makarevich did not immediately, but agreed to rename the name to "Time Machine". The move turned out to be successful, and in 1973 the Melodiya company recorded a record of the vocal trio Zodiac, accompanied by Time Machine.

“...Even such a trifle helped us to exist: in the eyes of any bureaucratic idiot, the ensemble that had the record is no longer just hippies from the gateway,” the musician recalled. A year later, director Danelia invited Andrey and his team to star in the comedy "Afonya". The group did not get into the frame, but in the scene where Kuravlev's hero comes to the dance, Makarevich's song "You or Me" sounds. But a fee of 500 rubles allowed the musicians to purchase a Grundig tape recorder, which for a long time served as their recording studio.

"Homemade" recordings of "Time Machine" meanwhile spread across the country. Makarevich's voice became familiar to thousands, but not many knew what he looked like. And yet, "machinists" became popular. When the girls found out that this smiling curly guy was Andrei Makarevich, they immediately showed interest in him. But his heart already belonged to Elena Fesunenko, the daughter of a well-known international journalist.

In the wake of popular popularity, the host of the program "Music Kiosk" Eleonora Belyaeva recorded a whole issue with the "machinists". And although the program was taken off the air, the musicians still had high-quality recordings of their songs.

For several years, "Time Machine" did not have access to big stage. In the end, in 1979, a conflict occurred between the founders of the group, Makarevich and Kawagoe, which resulted in the closure of the group. And only six months later, Alexander Kutikov convinced Makarevich to revive the "Machine".

Tired of the persecution of the authorities, Makarevich willingly agreed to conclude the first contract with Soyuzconcert. This gave the right to legal touring activities. However, the debut disc "Time Machine" was released not in the USSR, but in the USA "... without any participation and knowledge on our part, it was called" Fortune Hunters and sounded disgusting, - the musician recalled. “Surprisingly, we never saw the money for it.” But Makarevich was summoned to the Lubyanka, where he gave explanations about how the record with his songs was released across the ocean.

The 1980s were the peak of the popularity of "machinists". So, in 1981, the director and husband of the singer Alla Pugacheva, Alexander Stefanovich, invited the group to star in his film "Soul", where leading role performed by Sofia Rotaru. After the film received several prizes, the artists gathered at Makarevich's apartment to celebrate the success. An elderly teacher who lived one floor below decided to teach the musician a lesson and called the police at night.

The door was opened by Mikhail Boyarsky. The patrolmen were in a hurry. When Sofia Rotaru, Rolan Bykov, Ivar Kalninsh began to come out into the hallway, the guys in uniform realized that their arrival did not at all imply hitting a celebrity party. Having apologized, they left - however, the harmful neighbor did not give Makarevich a quiet life for several more years.

Although the concerts of the Time Machine were always sold out, until 1986 the group was forbidden to perform in Moscow. Only perestroika finally brought the "Machine" out of the shadows. Then, in 1987, Makarevich married a second time - to the cosmetologist Alla Golubkina. A son, Ivan, was born in the marriage. But three years later, due to frequent tours, family life cracked. Then Andrei had civil marriages with radio host Ksenia Strizh and journalist Anna Rozhdestvenskaya. The latter gave birth to his daughter Anna. Third official wife musician, stylist Natalya Golub, lived with him for seven years - from 2003 to 2010.

What was the reason for the group's success in Soviet years? Fans of Makarevich's work saw in his songs a protest against the Soviet system. At that time, he himself eschewed politics. Only in August 1991, "Time Machine" openly sided with Yeltsin, performing a concert at the barricades, and in 1996 the artist became a confidant of the president. Yes, and with Vladimir Putin, he initially had a good relationship, he even became a member of the President's Council for Culture.

Andrey Vadimovich's transition to the camp of fierce critics of the authorities occurred after the events in Ukraine in 2014. He did not accept the return of Crimea to Russia and made loud statements more than once. The keyboard player and the director of the Time Machine, who supported the policy of the authorities, were fired by Makarevich. Fans reacted differently: someone was on the side of the idol, someone was categorically against it, and someone simply did not understand why the musician went into politics. But that's a completely different story. Andrei Makarevich made a significant contribution to the development of Russian music. And the status of the icon Soviet rock rightfully belongs to him.

Makarevich Andrei Vadimovich (b. 1953) is a Russian singer, musician, composer and poet, bard, graphic artist, television presenter and producer, leader and sole member musical group "Time Machine", which has not left the group since its foundation. Since 1991 - Honored Artist of the RSFSR, since 1999 - National artist RF.

Birth and family

His father, Makarevich Vadim Grigorievich, was born in 1924. During the Great Patriotic War in battles on the Karelian front he lost his leg. After the war, he went to work in the Gorstroyproekt workshop as a senior architect. In 1956 he was invited to the Moscow Institute of Architecture to teach at the Department of Building Physics. He worked at this place until 1993, received the title of associate professor, then professor. He took part in the development of the "Victory Monument" in Tallinn, the Moscow monument to Karl Marx, the pavilion of young naturalists at VDNKh. During the world exhibitions in Montreal and Brussels, as well as national exhibitions in Los Angeles, Genoa and Paris, designed the Soviet pavilions.

Mother, Nina Markovna Makarevich ( maiden name Shmuilovich) was born in 1926. As a child, she studied at a music school, was a phthisiatrician by profession, worked at the Central Research Institute of Tuberculosis. She defended her dissertation, had a lot scientific papers, among Soviet microbiologists, she was one of the first to study non-tuberculous mycobacteria.

My paternal grandparents were teachers. Before moving to Moscow, grandfather taught at a rural school. Grandmother taught biology, after the war she led the station for young naturalists, had the title of Honored Teacher of the RSFSR and an award - the Order of Lenin.

My mother's grandfather was a shoemaker, my grandmother worked in the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department (MUR) as a pathologist and forensic expert.

In 1962 Andrei was born younger sister Natasha, she, like her father, is an architect.

Childhood and school years

In Moscow, not far from the Museum fine arts named after Pushkin, on Volkhonka Street, there was a two-story house of the former princes Volkonsky. After the war, there was a communal apartment in it, and here the future musician spent his childhood.

The boy grew up comprehensively developed, read a lot, loved to watch his father draw, sometimes helped him. He imagined his future in different ways: at some time he really wanted to become a diver and explore the depths of the sea, then he decided to devote himself to the science of herpetology, which studies amphibians and reptiles. Little Andryusha liked to collect butterflies.

Soon the family received a separate apartment on Komsomolsky Prospekt. In this area, Andrei began his studies at school No. 19, which was considered specialized, in which they studied in depth English language.

But most of all, the boy was still attracted to music. My father played the piano very well, and there were a lot of records in the house. Therefore, Andrey got used to the constant sound of music - both modern and classical. However, when he was sent to a music school for the piano class, he studied for about three years and dropped out. By that time, he had already become acquainted with the work of Bulat Okudzhava and began to selfeducation playing the guitar. Gradually, he began to compose poetry himself and play bardic melodies.

In addition to music, the boy was also interested in sports, from the fourth grade he went to diving classes, later he was carried away by alpine skiing.

Introduction to The Beatles

In 1966, an event occurred that turned the fate of Makarevich: he heard the music of The Beatles. Andrei, like many of his peers, became an avid Beatleman. It seemed to the guy then: everything he had heard before was not music, and only now it felt like cotton wool had been pulled out of his ears, which had not allowed him to hear the beautiful for a long time. Everything inside him moved and turned over irreversibly.

In the morning before school, he listened to The Beatles, coming home after class, again turned on the tunes of his favorite group, and they sounded in the apartment until late at night. When the parents, exhausted by the Beatles, ran out of patience, they put their son with his tape recorder on the balcony. And he turned the volume up to full power so that everyone around him could also listen and enjoy.

In the eighth grade, Andrei organized a musical group at school called "The Kids", the guys played in the style of folk-rock, country music, and also performed cover versions of English-language compositions.

In 1968, Andrey organized the Time Machine group, which included his classmates, the same Beatles like him - Sasha Ivanov, Igor Mazaev, Pasha Rubin and Yura Borzov. Soon, a guy from a parallel school, Sergei Kawagoe, also joined them. This group has become for Makarevich the work of his whole life, for almost half a century he has been its permanent leader, author of words and music, performer of many songs.

"Time Machine"

However, having received a certificate, at the insistence of the parents, in order to have higher education and a decent profession, Andrei continued his studies at the Moscow Architectural Institute. Three years later he was expelled. Official version sounded like "an untimely departure from the workplace at the vegetable base." And unofficially, this was a closed order of the party organization, which did not share Makarevich's passion for rock music.

"Time Machine" still remained in the first place for Andrey. Along the way, he began working at the Giproteatre (the organization was engaged in the design of buildings for entertainment facilities and theaters). He recovered at the institute, studied at the evening department, in 1977 he received a diploma in the specialty "architect" and "graphic artist".

And in 1979, "Time Machine" issued an official contract with the state concert and tour bureau "Soyuzkontsert", which gave her legal status. Finally, Andrei was able to leave the Giproteater and be listed in work book performer and musician.

The group was gaining rapid popularity in the country, each of them new song became a classic of Soviet rock:

  • "Puppets";
  • "Oh, what a moon";

Records of the "Time Machine" diverged according to Soviet Union, the musicians became famous, and a big touring life began. In 1987 they left the USSR, concerts were held in Poland, Mozambique, Japan, Spain, Bulgaria, USA.

Andrei Makarevich - biography

Andrei Vadimovich Makarevich has many worthy roles, although at the moment he has already managed to earn a negative attitude towards himself because of his statements and his preferences in political life countries.

Childhood

The family in which the composer, singer and musician was lucky to be born was intelligent. Father is an architect, mother is a doctor by profession. Polish-Belarusian paternal blood flowed in the boy's veins, and his mother gave her son Jewish roots. Father went through the whole war, came home without a leg, but took up pedagogical activity, and mother dearly loved by her son in last years Worked at the Research Institute of Tuberculosis. Andrei's biography was similar to many biographies of children post-war years.

From childhood, the boy remembered the communal apartment and the old house of Prince Volkonsky. Very often Andrei changed his dream. At first he was attracted by the work of a diver, later he wanted to become a paleontologist. Then I decided to follow in my mother's footsteps. Andrei did not grow up alone, he had a younger sister, Natasha. Passion for music passed to the son from his father, Andrey even graduated one year music school in piano class.

Studies

Andrei was lucky to attend a prestigious school in Moscow with an English bias. The schoolboy had enviable perseverance, as he managed to collect a collection of butterflies. He even kept several snakes at home, explaining this with his new hobby. The snakes did not live long in the boy's house, and skiing and swimming soon appeared. In adolescence, music overpowered all other hobbies, largely due to the work of Bulat Shalovich Okudzhava and Vladimir Semyonovich Vysotsky.

It occurred to Andrei to compose poems and music for them, and then perform them with a guitar. Many people came to him, just as he played the guitar and sang in the yard. The songs have a deep meaning.

Music in the life of Makarevich

The Beatles gave the guy A New Look to his music. He fell in love with the work of this team. In the 8th grade, Makarevich created his own group, which performed foreign compositions. Andrey's comrades included Igor Mazaev, Yuri Borzov, Pavel Rubin, who already in the 9th grade gave the name to their team "Time Machine". The future soloist and musician entered an architectural university, from the fourth year of which he was expelled for his passion for rock music, although the wording was of a completely different nature.

The guy managed to get a job as an architect, and a few years later he was restored at the institute and completed his education with a diploma. Andrei did not leave the group, the music continued to unite friends. The eightieth year was the year of recognition of the "Time Machine", a cooperation contract was signed with it. Now the team could tour and give their work to more fans.

Career

The biography of the group has received rapid development. There were songs that became calling card"Time Machine", these hits were known by heart by the audience completely different ages. Makarevich was fascinated not only by music, he was also inseparable from the art of cooking.

Andrey could be seen in the face of the host of the Smak TV show, which revealed the secrets of cooking different dishes. The study of the expanses of water in many countries allowed Makarevich to take on the role of the host of another program that talked about the underwater world.

Artist position

Many of Makarevich's statements on the unfolding Ukrainian conflict were at odds with politics Russian state and opinions of the majority of Russians. This behavior of the musician could not be called anything but a betrayal. He did not find support from the government, many concerts planned in the cities of the country had to be canceled. To be in front of everyone in scandals - I chose this path of popularity in Lately Makarevich.

It seems that the singer, who received the recognition of the audience in home country, having found PR for himself in politics, he crossed all the limits of what was permitted. Music should carry the beautiful, the good, the eternal. People of art should not get involved in the political persecution of the views of some for the sake of others.

Andrei Makarevich - biography of personal life

The artist did not show stability in his family life, since he entered into an official marriage three times with different women. The first wife of Makarevich was Elena Fesunenko. Her father was a well-known political commentator. This union lasted for three years, they parted without scandals, hiding the reason for the divorce, their children did not unite them in this marriage.

After 6 years, the musician is once again trying to start a family. Alla Golubkina became the second legal wife, she worked as a cosmetologist and was far from the bohemia in which her husband used to rotate. Very soon, the son Ivan was born, who was very similar to his father. But this child did not save the marriage, although he is still in good relations with own parents.
