However, the editor-in-chief of OK! Vadim Vernik decided not to ask Svetlana about the reasons for her decision, just as he did not discuss the scandals that occurred over Lately at the Bolshoi Theatre. In an interview, the ballerina spoke about more pleasant things - marriage and the birth of a daughter.

Svetlana Zakharova met her husband, violinist Vadim Repin, at a New Year's concert. Zakharova saw her future husband on stage and "was amazed", and after the performance she came up to get an autograph. The next time they met was only a year later. Zakharova does not talk about the details of the affair with Repin, but does not hide the fact that the marriage and birth of her daughter Anna in 2011 completely changed her life.

“Before, day and night, all thoughts were only about ballet. And after the birth of her daughter, the whole world turned upside down. No wonder they say that motherhood changes a woman, decorates her. Svetlana admitted that she was not at all worried about her career when she found out that she was pregnant. She left the stage, rested, went on tour with her husband and felt like "a woman who just lives and enjoys." After the birth of her daughter, Zakharova was on stage three months later. Now the ballerina is trying not to part with 2-year-old Anna for a long time, and if the tour lasts more than five days, she takes her with her.

In August, Svetlana Zakharova and Vadim Repin will perform together in Switzerland at the San Pre Classic festival, which is attended by people who are connected by friendship or family ties. Sveta, your career has been on the rise for a long time. And how do you feel yourself: smooth road up or sometimes there are still stops, some kind of slippage?

It's hard for me to answer this question. Of course, from the outside it seems that my sharp rise began immediately. At the age of 17, I came to the Mariinsky Theater from the Academy of Russian Ballet, and quite quickly, literally in the first months, they began to give me solo parts.

One Giselle is worth something! Many ballerinas go to this most difficult party for years.

And at that age, I thought that everything was as it should be. Maybe this feeling arose because of childish impudence or naivety. It has gone away over the years.

Surely there was a moment in your life when you felt that you can do more in ballet than others.

No, I have never felt it myself. But I have always been singled out by teachers. Even at school, I had increased attention from them.

You were born in Lutsk, a small Ukrainian town. Tell me, if it were not for the ballet, would you still live there - work, give birth to children? Or was such a scenario impossible for you under any circumstances?

I am grateful to my mother for guiding me on the right path. In Lutsk, my mother worked in choreographic group, danced a lot, went on tour. I was a very active child. was engaged rhythmic gymnastics(then even skidded to the sports one), dancing. In the House of Pioneers dance group- huge, high level. I went to enter the Kiev Choreographic School, already having some experience.

Mom is still surprised: “And how could I send my little 10-year-old daughter alone to study in Kyiv, live in a hostel away from home ?!” It was probably a sign from above.

Apparently, your growing up began in Kyiv.

As soon as you cross the threshold of the choreographic school, childhood ends. For me there was only ballet.

It is probably happiness when at the age of 10 a child already has a goal. After all, for many it does not appear much later.

Exactly! My daughter is growing up, and the whole family is thinking where to give her when the time comes. I want her to be on to something. Then it will not, God forbid ...

...some negative points?

Bad moments, shall we say.

Well, you've probably got away with all the bad things.

Oh, I was naive, very shy. My classmates had everything, but I was not drawn anywhere.

In general, an exemplary girl! Did you fall in love at that time?

Everything that happened to me was left inside so that no one knew anything. There was love, there were disappointments, but work always saved me. When I came to the Mariinsky Theatre, I had a tutor Olga Nikolaevna Moiseeva. She became the closest person to me. Besides mom, of course. And I never had friends in the theater.

Why?

It so happened ... You know, usually friendship is tied up with girls dancing in the corps de ballet. I almost immediately became a soloist and left the common locker room, where basically everyone communicates.

As a rule, ballerinas marry their colleagues. In this sense, you have an atypical situation: you became the wife of Vadim Repin, an outstanding violinist with a worldwide reputation. And how did fate bring you together?

It's a long story. A few years ago, on the eve of the New Year, the Rossiya TV channel planned to film a program with the participation of stars classical music and ballet. For some reason, the shooting was canceled, but the concert still took place. True, without ballet dancers. “There will be an orchestra on the stage, there will be nowhere to dance,” they explained to me. - But we want to invite you to the concert as a spectator. Vladimir Fedoseev will conduct, Vadim Repin and many other musicians and singers will perform. I came. Seeing Vadim on stage, I was amazed by his bright, memorable performance. And after the concert, she went up to Fedoseev and Repin to thank them. And for the first time in my life I asked for an autograph - from Vadim!

Not at all. The next time Vadim and I met only a year later, when he Once again ended up in Moscow.

Ballerinas for the sake of a career often deprive themselves of the joy of motherhood. In any case, that's how it used to be.

You know, I watched from the sidelines for my colleagues, leading ballerinas who have experience in motherhood. As a rule, they all recovered very quickly after the birth of a child, and many acquired a much better shape. I left the stage as soon as I realized that I was expecting a baby. Probably at that moment something happened and the body said: “Enough! Do not want anymore!" During the entire period of pregnancy, I rested and felt incredibly happy from this.

I walked, and if I went on tour with my husband, I could see other cities with the eyes of a tourist. In a word, I was ordinary woman who simply lives and enjoys.

And how long did this idyll last?

After Anechka was born, something changed in me again, and three months later I was already on stage. I still remember this feeling of terrible fear before the first appearance on the stage after the break. But my mother and husband supported me. And I knew that the main thing is to take the first step, and then it will go as it should.

Are you taking your daughter on tour?

If they last more than five days, Anya and my mother fly with me. My daughter has been traveling since she was 3 months old. She is accustomed to airplanes and is already very well versed in them. She also has her own passport.

Sveta, we've known each other for a long time. And I always felt that you are an internally strong, strong-willed person with a fighting spirit. You are always like stretched string. And now there is some softness on your face, even peace. Your beauty has become completely different.

Thanks, Vadim! Indeed, earlier, day and night, all thoughts were only about ballet. And after the birth of my daughter, the whole world turned upside down. No wonder they say that motherhood adorns a woman, changes her. Yes, and the priorities have become different, the responsibility is different. You are talking about softness... I realized that it is necessary to look at some things easier, to be wiser, not to get annoyed and not get hung up on just one profession.

And yet, back to the profession. As far as I know, you were invited to the Bolshoi Theater for a long time, but you stubbornly refused. Why? It's every ballerina's dream.

I was brought up in the belief that there is nothing better in the world than the Vaganova Ballet School and the Mariinsky Theater. Therefore, when I got to the Mariinsky, I didn’t even want to look at anything else. And when Vladimir Vasiliev ( in 1995-2000 artistic director and director of the Bolshoi Theatre. - Approx. OK!) invited me to the Big dance main party in my production of Swan Lake, I refused.

I was 17 years old, I looked at the world through rose-colored glasses. Only with time, having danced almost everything I could at the Mariinsky Theater, I suddenly felt that I wanted something else. I was showered with invitations from the Grand Opera, La Scala, the Rome Opera, from Tokyo and America.

And as a result, you ended up in the Bolshoi. What was the decisive argument?

This was already the fourth invitation from the Bolshoi. It was made by Anatoly Iksanov ( General Director of the Bolshoi Theater in 2000–2013 - Approx. OK!). He assured that all conditions would be created for me. And at that moment I wanted to start everything from clean slate, bring back the feeling of novelty of what is happening. So it all came together.

Did you quickly become your own at the Bolshoi Theatre?

I will never forget the first time I came to the ballet hall for the morning class. I thought it would be incorrect if I immediately stand in the center ...

Although the status had the right to do so. After all, you entered the Bolshoi Theater with the rank of prima ballerina.

Yes, but I wanted people to get used to me first, so that I would not interfere with anyone. And suddenly the voice of Mark Peretokin, at that time a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, was heard: “Come here.” All the artists moved in and he put me in center stage. Maybe Mark doesn’t remember that moment, but for me it was a sign that they were waiting for me in this theater, that my colleagues treat me with respect. Lyudmila Ivanovna Semenyaka immediately took me under her wing ( teacher-tutor. - Approx. OK!). She introduced me to all the performances, told me about the intricacies of this theater. I have some amazing partners. With them I always find mutual language.

Great. I know that you maintain a close relationship with your older brother.

Yes. He is a doctor by training and has worked for a health insurance company for many years. He has a son, Danila, who is five months older than my Anya. I love all of our big family to gather in the country, for me it is best holiday. Especially when the husband does not have a tour and he is with us. The next day after such gatherings, I am a different person.

By the way, you and your husband do not think about joint creative project? You dance, Vadim plays the violin...

We were invited to perform together at the San Pre Classic festival in the Swiss town of San Pre. At this festival, on the same stage, there are people who are connected by something - friendship, family ties. We were first invited there several years ago, as soon as music world found out that Vadim and I were together. We did not refuse the organizers, but tour schedule each of us was very dense. Then I had maternity leave then I recovered...

This year we said to ourselves: "That's it, in August we will definitely fulfill the promise to perform together." True, when we agreed, it turned out that I did not have a single number that I could dance to the accompaniment of Vadim - he has a completely different repertoire.

And how did you find a way out?

Recently, a number was staged especially for me to the music of Arvo Pärt Fratres, called “Plus Minus Zero”. It was composed by a young choreographer from St. Petersburg, Vladimir Varnava. I already performed this number at my solo creative evening, now I need to rehearse with Vadim.

What are the expectations?

I'm a little afraid. After all, each of us, as far as the profession is concerned, is a tough person who does not know how to concede.

How to find a compromise?

Let's start rehearsing, then I'll understand. If you want, come to the festival - you will see everything yourself. I think it will be interesting!
